Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is set to expand its Ryzen 9000X3D processor lineup with the upcoming Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D models, both incorporating dual 3D V-Cache technology on their Core Complex Die (CCD) chiplets. According to recent reports, these processors are anticipated to launch in the first quarter of 2025, succeeding the current Ryzen 9 7950X3D and Ryzen 9 7900X3D models. The integration of 3D V-Cache on both CCDs significantly increases the total L3 cache to 192 MB, with each CCD housing 96 MB of L3 cache. Additionally, the total cache capacity, including L2 cache, is expected to reach either 204 MB or 208 MB, depending on the specific model. This enhancement aims to provide more uniform performance across various workloads, particularly benefiting gaming and productivity tasks by ensuring efficient cache distribution and management.
