I saved a few bucks going with Bosch. They work great in the Audi, but are oem in it. Audi let's them breathe, but they're pretty buried in the twin turbo. We'll see how they hold up to the heat.

..yeah, with 'hot-Vs' and the latest super-tight packaging in modern engine compartments, things can get pretty toasty. I fondly remember the giant engine bays almost dwarfing their big V8s back in the muscle- / pony car era...easier to work on, too.

I shouldn't have bought the Unifi US-16-XG, now that I have this, the Unfi is redundant....I don't need redundancy for my home network.

Sure I’ll take your TH10, how much?

I didn't expect you to say yes. And I hate the fact that you live across the border for shipping reasons. Do you end up having to pay duty tax when things cross the border? $1500 shipped and insured? If you really are interested, PM me. Can get you pics and hammer out the details.

We pay taxes on the amount claimed so cheaper is always better, least in the claim part.

Was more curious then interested. I’m not really looking at anything new till Caselabs is back up. Thanks anyways

Nice ! It's a smart managed switch, I take it ? I'm getting ready for a 10G upgrade here but would like to find s.th. like the above, but w/ 10G router capabilities added.

Correct it is a smart managed switch. It is a great piece of kit I have to say. The only downside of it is if you go into Web Managed mode, so essentially manage it from the Zyxel portal....which is very nice, it disables the local management interface so far as configuration. You can reboot it locally and a couple of other things but that is it. I would rather they allowed for both remote and local management. They may change that in the future. Needless to say I went back to local management as it is a little easier to navigate and to unlock all the configuration potential on the portal, you have to pay a subscription fee. No thanks lol.

It was time to get the internal network on 10G.

The price on that switch is pretty good.  Multi-gig 10Gbe switches, can get pretty expensive, and the price hasn't really come down in the last 5 years.

You might want to double check the firmware version on that switch.  The original firmware had a bug with the fan causing it to ramp up and down, which could get pretty annoying if you have the switch in your office.  Depending on how hard you are pushing the switch you might also be able to swap out the stock fan for a quieter Noctua fan and still keep temps in check..

What, no Threadripper Pro 3995WX / 64c/128t / 8 RAM channel CPU for your router ? 😂

Edit:
...Speaking of speed, working towards 1 Gb/s (up and down). With both fixed and dynamic IPs, lots of boxes feeding lots of boxes...
