Just grabbed a fancy new USB cable for my new keyboard. That is if I keep it, not sure if I can ever get used to an Alice layout.

Nice ! I also enjoy working with those bigger sheets of thermal pads above, especially for custom solutions.

FYI, just in case you haven't already got it, for sub zero, art eraser and LET (liquid electrical tape at auto supply stores) always worked well for me....(melted via a low-setting heat-gun) Vaseline also does the trick, but over time, it becomes a mess with all kinds of dust etc sticking to it, especially if you forget to clean everything up after a long session and put it aside for cool-down (err, warm-up).

Found something a bit unusual at Goodwill. A new in the box CoolIT Freezone Elite. Still has the factory thermal paste on the coldplate! I'll do a separate thread for it once I figure out what I'm going to try and cool with it.

@ArchStanton That's not my build, but yeah, those might be considered for such use; though I believe he created them to sort of mimic acrylic bends when using soft tubing. Radikult Custom sells them on his site as well.

Corner braces for soft tubing Imitates 90 degree bends on soft tube to achieve a similar look as hard tubing builds. Made out of Cast Acrylic and available in Colors : Black, White or Clear. For soft tube OD sizes:...

So about a month ago I decided to retire my <1 month old ASUS Strix z690 due to it's lack of FSB overclocking. I replaced that board with an MSI MEG ACE and much to my dismay, it too would not allow for FSB overclocking. I returned the board to a UPS store for it's return to Amazon, however after 2 weeks, it had not been delivered back to the warehouse. God only knows where it went, most likely someone stole the damn thing. I did contact Amazon today for my refund as they make you wait 2 weeks before contacting customer service. The funny thing is, after granting the refund, the sent me the following email instructing me to "Keep or donate" the board. DAMN DID I EVER MESS UP SHIPPING IT BACK IN THE FIRST PLACE!

I've cut down my shopping on Amazon as much as feasibly possible. The quality of the service(s) they provide dropped substantially these past few years; as did that of a lot of the products they sell; and I'm seriously considering cancelling my Prime subscription.

Oh, and don't ask me about scripted idiots working out of foreign call centers. I might feel obligated to respond using non-TOS approved terminology.

So, anyway, not having much luck with z690?

No, I finally found a great board. The MSI Unify-X on the TH bios is a rock star. I highly recommend a 1DPC board opposed to 2 DPC if you have aspirations of any high level RAM OC's.

It's the Alphacool ES BIG inline filter, it's kinda big indeed but easy to clean (I'll use 2 valves).
The screen seems to be stainless steel or something, I couldn't find it in the information but as it is an Alphacool product I bet it's quality.

Noice additions ...you really are very serious about playing Crysis at 4K ?! 😂

I've been eyeing that Alphacool 1080mm rad for a future build and I'm looking forward to your feedback on it.

I was about to write that it looks a bit like a fuel filter for more of an industrial application. I'd be interested in knowing how much it cuts down on flow when added to a loop; though you could plumb it in such that you use valves to bypass it/empty it when it's not in use.

Parker proffers some interesting ones; you'd only have to be careful of mixing metals.

And it's only the GPU loop, I bet I'll see over 60FPS at 4K! 😄

Will let you know more about that rad, for now it feels like the ususal Alphacool Quality, big, heavy and good looking.
The only complaint I have is that there is no hole in the second end cap, would have been way better for bleeding air out of a massive rad like this.

That might have been why I liked it so much. I don't think this filter will limit the flow that much, it has a big surface area.

We use a lot of Parker products for the marine diesel engines too. I think the fuel filters we use flow over 1000LPH, just enough for the biggest engines we have...

Likewise 😉

Maximum working temperature 60 °C

Will that coz any problems?

I doubt it, even 30°C is way too hot to cool the hardware with. I'll use the AC unit anyways if I fire up that system as I've been doing the past few weeks 🙂

I would hazard a guess that it will be of totally negligible restriction unless severely clogged.  Well, before I commit to that, what is your expected flow rate in that circuit?
