The Airbus A320 isn't very nice to me when I land. No matter how smooth the landing is, it always calls me names.

That plane has so many auto-pilot features; as a novice it's very awkward. I watched a few airbus cockpit tutorials to figure out how to turn it off, but I also sorta got used to the auto pilot eventually. I think it's the only "fly by wire" plane in the game.

...as long as it doesn't say 'beginner's luck' or 'don't give up your day job', I wouldn't worry ?  automation always had some teething issues:

There needs to be more Airbuses. Also a 737-Max.

All airliners need the fuel usage to be fixed, the A320 uses slightly more fuel than it should and the 787-10 uses significantly less fuel than it should be able to. In real life, the 787-10 can carry enough fuel for about 7 hours of flight, in game it can carry enough fuel for about 77 hours of flight.

When I say the A320 uses slightly more fuel than it should be, it should be at around 700-800kg/hr at cruise, it's currently 900-1000kg/hr at cruise so it's not too big of a deal.

787 fuel usage is terrible in the opposite way. At most, it uses 2270kg/hr. Real ones use around 5300kg/hr.

Looking forward to playing this (inching closer to new build).

I live around Denver and saw a video on youtube of a guy doing a Cessna flyover various areas of the city/metro and my god it looks exactly like it does in real life.

...big metro areas have  photogrammetry detail ?  ...we live in such an area and not only can I see our kitchen window, but also my home-office window I look out from as I m looking in (if that makes any sense...)

...looking forward to that ! I know the area around Paris reasonably well as we have a EU HQ there, should be interesting how much photogrammetry they add for Pairs, Lyon, may be Marseilles...with Covid-19, got to do my French travels 'digitally'

I've learned how to drift planes now, so that's neat.

It works best with the 787 or Cessna 152.

Why do you have the graphics turned down so low?

I'm re-downloading the game now after upgrading my CPU from an i7 7700K to a 3700x. This might be one of the few games that shows some improvement with the new CPU for me, will find out soon.

I should have said this in my last post; the game is definitely a lot smoother going from a 7700k OCed to the 3700x stock. This game really benefits from the additional threads. Still GPU limited most of the time of course but its still a huge improvement.

I found a pretty cool idea for interesting places to fly.

I grew up in Pleasanton CA which is really close to the Altamont Pass, a huge windmill facility. Naturally I flew around in my home town and saw that MSFS2020 fully renders windmills and they're really cool. So anywhere with windmills can be a pretty cool obstacle course. The turbines even spin so you can get really tricky with that if you want to.

New DF video.

nVidia shouldn't have sponsored this until they can actually supply GPUs. The place I buy hardware from doesn't have any GPUs at all except GT1030s. You can't even pre-order any 20 series or 30 series GPUs. Even most of the 1030s are pre-order. The ones that aren't pre-order are £100+.

The only place I can find any 30 series GPUs is on eBay for 50-150% over MSRP.
