I only have ever used Mayhems Part #1. It's PH2, fill rad shake with all your might, leave and shake and turn over every 1 hour while awake. I usually leave it for 24 hours. Then MULTIPLE distilled flushes. Make sure the PH returns to 7.

 

Be careful on splitting 5 fans off the CPU header like you suggested in your video. I would definitely use a powered splitter for more than 3, even at reduced amperage. 

 

What MOBO are you going to be running it off of?

X470 Taichi. I could split them 3x3 I suppose.

You have 5 4 pin headers on your MOBO. No need to bunch them together!

Yeah I haven't taped out what is routing where yet. I've 2 of the BIONX version of the P12 on the front and another P12 on the rear of the XB as well, so 13 fans and 2 pumps lol.

 

This is the preliminary video I made last week. Can't remember if I showed that or not.

Should highly consider a Quadro or Octo. You won't regret it.

Edit: Ugh, out of stock everywhere except the OEM, which they want way too much to ship. I guess I'll be waiting and perhaps split the fans 3x3.

Yeah this is part of the Blitz kit I mentioned and I should have been more specific, this is the rad one. I believe you can get it by itself.

The Splitty 9 Active is a nice little powered splitter if you are just looking to power some fans, and control them via the PWM header on the motherboard. https://modmymods.com/aquacomputer-splitty9-active-splitter-53231.html

As my man Tic suggested, that is a great solution. Only consider an Octo or Quadro if you value the aqua computer software. It is fantastic. Just let me know. Gonna upload a video for ya.

I'm curious if you have any cheap DDR4 in that parts bin before I order some.

 

I see you keep lots of coolant mixes. Do you find that stuff worthwhile or is it just for looks? I'm asking because I'm also doing an ultra-cheap aluminum loop with some parts that might arrive in the next few months directly from China. It should be fun to test the near $1000 copper loop vs the ~$50 aluminum loop

I don't unfortunately. All RAM is spoken for. Most of the Mayhems is Pastel White, that has been discontinued for XTR. The MMM clear was because there was no Mayhems XT-1 clear when I needed it. I might not ever use the white pastel.  I suspect that aluminum loop will probably cool within 10c of the copper.

Can you link me to that pastel white you aren't using? I want to see if it is compatible with aluminum. It might look good since the blocks have RGB built into them.

Hard as I tried, I can't find it listed. Looks like it is really EOL.
