Without looking myself, what is Automation ? Car designer package or game ?

 

It's a game where you design, "engineer" and "build" cars including the engine anytime between the year 1946 and 2020. It's currently in development, so there's no real career mode just yet. There hasn't been an update in a few months other than a hotfix so I'm hoping we're going to get the forced induction update very soon. They have been promising that for the last 4 years. Current forced induction is just turbos that's realistic to the real world 1980s turbo technology.

EDIT: lol 5 minutes after making this post, the developers uploaded an update video of what's coming very soon and it is getting the forced induction overhaul in the next week.

 

Thanks for the info, Took a look at the video, I guess I should have imagined something like this existed, I can see why it attracts the ''Motorheads''.

I bought a PS3 again for these two games. It's amazing how it's a two generation old console using hardware from 2005 and the graphics look like this. Granted, it is cheating slightly by using photomode and rendering in 4K, but still.

...got Forza5 H and 'Ride 4' yesterday...still setting things up w/ a new controller, and spending a lot of time in the pits and ambulances  ...still, having a blast !

 

 

 

...Ride 4 is an absolute speedrush and blast...YT vid (slightly different one from earlier post) is by someone who has a few laps under his/her belt...

Some friends got me FH5 for Christmas and I have yet to try it. I know the game itself is pretty solid, but do any of you guys know if the multiplayer is stable yet? Last I heard, there were a lot of connection issues when trying to play with specific friends, but that was a while ago.

Based on my contempt for what a mess Winduhz has become in the past couple of years, I have really stepped up my efforts to replace it with Linux. It isn't 100% yet, but getting closer. For those that enjoy gaming, things are better than they ever have been. I am finding many "Windows-only" titles play very well under Linux using Steam Proton. I recently tested a random assortment from my Steam Library and the only one I did not get working was Gears 5. That kind of makes sense since it is a Micro$lop Studios title and they would have a vested interest in making sure it doesn't work on Linux, LOL.
