Whenever Razer does a collaboration with any company in the hardware industry, it gets people excited and talking. One of the most prominent brands globally with its green inspired peripheral range, as well as its various wacky ideas such as an RGB gaming toaster; I can't ever be as excited for a toaster as much as the Chroma Edition.

I still have my Fatal1ty 990FX motherboard, it's always interesting who AsRock will team up with next for their products.

 

I'm kind of happy to see Razer integrated to the motherboard lighting as it means Only needing Rzer's software instead of AsRock + Razer.  Also curious if this will eventually get supported by OpenRGB 0.5.

Is there really a good reason for all these X570 boards to have that little chipset fan?

Considering my X570 chipset runs at 65C with the fan running, I think they they do need them.

 

I believe the X570 is around 15W or something versus the 5W of the X470.

 

 

Now with that said, I don't hear my chipset fan at all, its not a high static load and not super high airflow.

X570 Chipset runs much warmer than previous. Mine is under a WC block and at load gets to about 55c.

Since the chipset on X570 is PCIe-4.0 it does get pretty warm. The chipset is always the hottest thing on my TRX40 board.  I let it sit at around 65°C, because that little fan starts to get a bit whiny over 4500 RPM.
