Our beloved Podcast guest Wendell from Level1Techs has done a pretty great breakdown of some SSD technologies in this video along with reviewing the product, worth a quick watch.

 

 

Also a quick reminder about putting high-performance M.2 SSD's in a laptop as a boot drive with no proper cooler can affect the life of the SSD.

Nice breakdown but it does carry a hefty price. Its currently on sale here at £670 lol.

Yeah, the cost of data density, but thinking that 4 of those on a PCIe 16x expansion card with cooling means 16 TB per PCIe slot, that is pretty bonkers to think of for just raw storage of 4k/8k footage, or game libraries.

 

Even better if you do a combined RAID 10 of the 4 drives to get redundant 8TB of storage...

Yeah the possibilities are great, assuming you have the budget for such a setup. I wouldn't mind just one of those drives but one cannot afford it haha.
