AMD's 12-Year-Old AMD FX-9590 CPU has managed to run Battlefield 6 without any major issues despite not being listed in the minimum specs.

I saw that video!  Was actually not surprised seeing how well optimized BF6 appears to be.  The FX series are still "capable" CPU's in modern terms, they're just really slow.

I finally have my FX 8 core system up and running again.  Can confirm, the FX system FEELS "snappier", and Windows boot time is basically nothing compared to my x3d setups.

It's almost cold enough out to fire up my FX9590 HD7990 rig. I installed W11 on it just for the lolz and it was surprising how good the system feels just derping around. I built it to play games from it's day which it does fine aside from the massive heat output. No interest in trying to run modern stuff but it's cool that it still can.

Am running out of power in my bedroom i bought heavy duty 12awg extension cord.

 

13900k running at 150w + 9070xt and a 1070 wide open. + keurig and my portable A/C i use to move cold air indoor by vaccum from the other windows

I have to ask, since you're probably the only other person here with a beast FX rig still running.........

Does yours also happen to have a wireless forcefield surrounding the damn thing or something?  Every time I turn my FX rig on, EVERY wireless device, even my cell phone, stops working if they're within like 10 feet of my FX rig.  Walk 10 feet away, the wireless devices all of a sudden work fine again!  

I love that stupid rig.......

I don't remember it activating a force field but I'll fire it up and find out soon. Might take it outside to bench it. Get all the snow on the back deck melted off

If you start wearing aluminium foil am going to start worrying

 

Mine not doing that but the usb port on a few of my am3 gigabyte did act crazy so maybe interference. Unplug evwry usb thing to test.
