nkomax Thermalright Thermal Pad 12.8 W/mK

Just a heads up. This is a great thermal pad that is my second go to next to Fujipoly. I have never found the thermalright pads on anything except aliexpress. These pads are 12.8 W/mk and are priced great. I found them on Amazon today with free prime. My stock was running low and was looking to re-up and found them. Posting here for fellow members to see if interested.

Looks like they only have 0.5mm and 1.0mm (Guess I bought the last of the 1mm) available.

Hmmm nice, could be a good replacement for the Tesla M40 pads, @Avacado don't suppose you know the thickness Nvidia used on these do you ?

Not a clue, I will have time to take a few apart this weekend. If you get to it sooner, let me know.

In fact, this is the only picture I could find of the PCB and it's the 24GB variant of our 12GB card. If you want to have a wet dream, look into the Tesla GRID M40, it's 4 GPU's on one PCB.

Thanks bud, you will have your cards apart before I get mine. My ones have not reached my proxy shipping guy in the states yet, so fingers crossed you can give me a hint haha.

Oh nice naked PCB. Yeah I have seen the Grid, it is rather juicy !

What I really need your help with and think is relevant to our situation is understanding the additions on the FaH client of GPU number and PCI-e bus and slot. IIRC they were additions the last time I updated the client that I had not seen before. I think a lot of my issues come from AMD and how it handles PCI-e lanes. Tonight, I am going to try and get 4 M40's per mining rack with 1 GT710 for display and see if it helps.

@ENTERPRISECame across this video, it is of a K80, but the principle is the same, it might give you an idea to cool these bad boys without needing to buy specific coolers for them.

P.S. Do you know what software he is using to monitor his card???

That is pretty sweet, I did not think of using fool tape to create what is essentially an air tunnel through the heatsinks. Though with using cards, it is likely that I would use a lower profile fan, though cannot tell until the parts are here.

I would however imagine just taking off the shroud is helpful anyway even with just case airflow, who wants plastic trapping in the heat ?

Fair point, taking off the plastic would seem to be efficient in a closed system where airflow can be directed better. I wouldn't think that would work as well in a mining chassis, even with 5 fans blowing at high speed.

Yeah, I am hoping I can fit everything in a closed case environment which will hopefully aid in correct channelled airflow. Still not 100% I can get the mobo and the PSU's in this case but will not know until I buy it and try it haha.

Got 4/4 running perfect on the X399 Platform. With the second X399, the MOBO is shot and the intel z390 is not playing nice with more than 3 cards. So all in all 7/8 Cards running good through the night.

That is ubuntu, so he is using nvidia x server which should be installed when the drivers are installed and psensor which should also be preinstalled, but can be installed if needed.

AMD definitely does something weird with their PCI lanes, when I added a second GPU to my B350 board it decided to make PCIE16_2 the primary GPU and PCIE_1 the secondary GPU, so my main GPU is limited to x4 lol.  Then F@H set up GPU0(Main) as Slot 0, Bus1 and GPU1 as Slot 1, Bus10?

Every intel rig I have its always bus1, bus2 etc

HA! Actually, i'll be doing some gaming tonight. Daughter free weekend, and haven't touched the rigs much with all the folding lately. Going to grab a few 6 packs, get toasted and rip on teenagers tonight, then probably davul in the folding stuff tomorrow.

Have not. All 8 I own are functional and I have 2 more coming to make an even 10. Looking like next weekend will be the time I have a chance to get one open.  1200$ out performs a 3090, but @2000w. It's a tough one.
