  1. This might seem to be the case, but more often than I like to admit I'm sitting with my hands in my hair trying to be competitive with a lot of hardware I own. Yes, there are things I can do well but I'm nowhere close to the pro's. And I do understand your situation, usually I switch to something I know that works to have some fun instead.
  2. Thanks J I've had this board for a while, I guess I never told you about it. I love it so much, it was a dream ever since I saw it for the first time and at some point a French friend offered to sell me his bnib board. This is by no means a stable overclock though, just throw some clocks and vcore at it and see what sticks. 1.48 vcore for 6.3ghz running spi32m, external loop (bench frame), windows open. Yeah, 4 cores is more than enough for SPI Though 3d benchmarking on 6.1/4.4 with some CPU load (time spi etc) is working too.
  3. that's not nice Chris, not at all... Why don't you start modding your 3060Ti to give it a try?
  4. First in the 1k club And proof that 2.03 is working, I've got my mem clock up and things are looking better now Intel Core i9 13900K @ 6300 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR VALID.X86.FR [y36e1q] Validated Dump by Bastiaan_NL (2022-10-29 16:08:09) - MB: EVGA Corp. Z690 DARK KINGPIN - RAM: 32768 MB
  5. Oh, I was reading along and working on the card last night *excuses excuses* Card wasn't happy with what I did, ask @pioneerisloud cause he was watching me blow up the VRMs
  6. Dangit, I was hoping we could have some fun together I understand it though, and the shunt mod was not what I was hoping for. So now I have a few EVC's on the way and more stuff like that to give it a bit more voltage instead of (or with) the shunts (if I can get that working).
  7. I'm still ahead, though I love the waterblock I totally agree with the powerlimit flaw and things like the boost tables doing what they want. I understand it from their point but for us it's a pain in the .... Even if you boost lock a card with a custom vf curve it will still move around on the boost table, if only I was able to lock it at an exact clock.. I'm still not done with my 3060Ti, some things are on the way and I'll mod it more and clock it higher. (just so you know ) [edit] And mine is just a single 8 pin, at some point I might blow it up
  8. Time to update to an Intel J, I'm looking at 14k plus CPU score in TS extreme Just kidding, we talked about it and you really don't need it (or do you?).. I can't wait for your 4090 to be under water to see if that's the way to go. And please, be careful with the 12vhpwr connector
  9. I'm on 8P with HT and Ecores now, 5.9/4.4. It is 3dmark CPU benchmark stable, but it's pointless to do any benchmarking as long as I can't get any decent memory clocks. So 6ghz all core with 4.4 or 4.5 ecores doesn't sound too crazy
  10. Do you mean the latest bios pre 13th gen? If so, I didn't do that. The only bios out there for 13th gen is the 2.01 (checked a minute ago), and that one has a few bugs and what not. I haven't had time to dive into it more, and I rather wait for a new one.
  11. That's the spirit! It was a lot of work for sure, but now we have some time to chill No problem at all, enjoy it There is always a chance to win, even with one sub! No problem tictoc. Thanks, we did what we could and the bar was set pretty high by ourselves. Yet we were still able to meet that goal, which was a sub in every benchmark. Onto the next one....
  12. There have been reports already on their post about the new bios version, regarding memory issues, Eleet not working and what not so I'll wait for that to get fixed. Not that I'm surprised, it's brand new.
  13. I will go for every limit, but for now it's just acting up so no point (or motivation). This was just a dirty all auto kind of overclock (as many manual settings resulted in post failure), and I did some 3D benchmarks with those settings too. 60k CPU score in Fire Strike Extreme and 14k in Time Spy Extreme with 5.7ghz/4.3ghz I did an 8P run too, and those ecores do some damage:
  14. Playing around with the new toy, seems alright. 13900k @5.8ghz Pcores and 4.3ghz Gcores, 4800 cache and 6400mem. A lot of things are acting up in the bios though and Eleet is not working either, EVGA has some work to do..
  15. Thanks again everyone for your contribution to the Team Competition!! It was fun and exhausting, and I love how much some of you put into this (the addiction is real..). I expect to see more subs on hwbot, now you all know what it's like Here are the winners of the Team Competition prizes: For counting submissions per the hwbot Team Competition rules: €50 for @Fluxmaven For participation in the Team Competition: €25 for @Sir Beregond Please DM me on the forums or Discord with your paypal information and I'll send the money asap.
  16. I'm pretty sure they are working on that, but it sure as .... is not up to nowadays standards. Those on live stream have heard my rants a few times, mostly because of things not working properly I didn't forget about the prizes, but I've been very busy and tired for the past few days. I'm taking it easy and will draw the winners next weekend
  17. All the best with the problems Bones, I hope both the medical and material issues will be solved soon
  18. As I was playing around with my Hynix kit on the Z690 Dark board I noticed your post, and I had to try this myself. Results have been pretty good on the Dark so far, I can squeeze more out of the hardware than on the Hero board. First my current best on SPI32m: Now this is on 2 cores, tuned for SPI32m. So not really comparable to your sub, but kinda cool anyways.
  19. To be clear, we love the help from you guys but there are errors in the submissions we can't fix. If we help you guys with the first few submissions it'll save us all a lot of time, and angry admins over on hwbot
  20. My loop temperature is really low, windows open helps a lot and it's about 10°C here at night. The extra 4 cores is not going to help, and lowering the Curve helped a lot too.
  21. Interesting, I wonder if there is any performance increase over the 'stock' Intel Arc A770. I prefer the Intel design though.
  22. It's an interesting benchmark, I had a 8120 ish first run on 4848mhz without any drop in frequency. It took a lot of effort to gain some points, and everyone is pretty close in the standings (besides the 1 LN2 guy ahead of me..) Glad you are having fun with the comp, that's what matters the most! I've got to say that there are moments when I hate what we are doing, when stuff fails to work etc. But when you finally see some results, that's when I'm in the zone
