  1. Thanks @ENTERPRISE A second GT240 came in today and resistors/caps/smd's to mod everything I own Tomorrow I'll pick up an AMD FX with mobo and mem, all I need is a second 590 and I'm done for the rest of the comp.. Maybe an E8600 and an E4600, but they are pretty cheap.
  2. I sort of understand those rules from their point of view. They want to see what you are running/doing, and the only way is with the proper tabs open to show the world. CPUZ: CPU, mem, board, spd GPUZ: every card you run Detailed score info Validation links etc It all makes sense, it's just something to keep in mind when you are submitting just like you don't want to forget setting your vcore and multiplier with an overclock Volt mods are working: /img/logo.png Bastiaan_NL`s 3DMark03 score: 33994 marks with a GeForce GT 240 GDDR3 HWBOT.ORG The GeForce GT 240 GDDR3 @ 780/1070MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark03 benchmark. Bastiaan_NLranks #null worldwide and #3 in the hardware class. Find out more at HWBOT. Core needs a lot of voltage for a little oc, I bet the power delivery is not the greatest but whatever. First place in the comp for now
  3. You guys have been active here So I bought some stuff, found out I need way more to bench that because I own the wrong CPU's, been searching the internet for more hardware, bought more, found out I still don't have enough and so on. @Avacado just told me I should stop this nonesense Anyways, I didn't submit much yet and I'm waiting for the good stuff to come. This GT240 turned out to be not the best model out there but I voltmodded it anyways, why not have some fun right? (not a clean one though, just fast and dirty )
  4. IN Bastiaan_NL Finally thought about it and got a 3090 up and running too
  5. Congrats with the position brother, now get to work When there is a bit more time I'll look through my contacts and have we'll have a chat
  6. I doubt there is someone else running a 10900x @4.9 all core with a shuntmodded 3060 @2260ishmhz in this world At least that 3060 got the 100th percentile https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/53774647 number 1 3060
  7. I'm not sure if I want to go that far with this chip, the only reason I installed it is that I wanted to have some fun with the hardware as it was sitting in a box. Ambient kills the fun over here too, 10°C or less works way better while overclocking
  8. https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/53762696 CPU stock Mem XMP GPU 520w power limit (540w actual) with 2205mhz core and 1290 mem on air (Gammix XPG S70 is not working properly, still need to sort that)
  9. I wish I could delid it, but by just looking at the IHS it seems like it's glued in place in such a way I would damage the chip before getting the IHS off. As far as LM goes, I've done a few chips. Not as much as a few other members, but I wouldn't be afraid of that part of the 'mod'. 'fully capable', thanks brother The board is art, there are a few things that should have been different but I know why they did it (6pin in the middle of the board for example) but it's so cool. And the weight is crazy, I've never felt a board being this heavy without all those full cover heatsinks like some 'gaming' or 'overclocking' boards have, just filled with components. Haha, ikr. Glad your drool is staying on your side of the stream
  10. Correct, this chip in combination with the motherboard is great for a F@H farm because of the PCIE lanes. It's really expensive stuff, the main reason I bought this was to fold with more GPU's in a single system increasing the efficiency instead of having 3 systems online all the time. By now the power is so expensive that I have one GPU online, and I'm thinking about taking that one offline too (€0.51 per kWh). The CPU runs very hot, making it hard to get a decent OC to work. 5ghz was for fun, but running this for anything besides an easy benchmark will shoot the temps up to at least 85°C if not higher. A few more pictures:
  11. Playing around with the 10900x, that thing is not easy to cool and I need to do a lot more tuning before this will work on other benchmarks. I managed to run GB3 too, but the memory isn't much on that thing as it wasn't meant for benchmarking when I bought this stuff. 6804.1 multi and 594.6 single, 7398.7 total @5ghz all core (and I messed up the screenshot, 2x mem tab instead of 1x mem and 1x mainboard )
  12. Nice work Mr.Fox, temps look good too! I have no clue what my system does on R23, I doubt I ever tried..
  13. You know I'm a fan, also because of the AC mods
  14. Maybe not breaking news, but the GN team did a great job of showing the details and explaining everything. Steve is special, just like Jay or Linus. If I'm tired I can't watch a full video of Steve without falling asleep, but I love what they are doing with all the details and testing. A Linus video is nearly impossible to finish without going crazy, can't stand him And Jay, I'm a big fan!

  16. Bant because you did the same to that EVGA card back in the days...
  17. I'm in too, with one GPU. Too much going on to get anything else online today, maybe a 3090 tonight
  18. I like shiny things! What are you going to polish?
  19. Congrats! And I agree, it still feels unreal how quickly I gathered my points. Nowadays my 3070Ti is the only card online, and I hate the noise it makes in my bedroom
  20. I might have done mine with a sharp blade too, just don't tell @Avacado I did But it works fine with acetone and a tim spreader like he said, that's what I did on the more expensive CPU instead of risking it with a blade. It's better to be safe with a chip like that, it's cheaper to spend an hour cleaning than messing it up and having to pay for a new one
  21. I've been reading along, as I had no idea what to say. Good to see that everyone is ready to help out, and I've added a subscription too. Not sure about a LAN event though, I can't mute anyone there
  22. That would be over 200 dollars in the Netherlands, if it's regular fuel
  23. Dang @iamjanco, love the progress! I also like seeing things like that 12V PCB, reminds me of the control panels at work
