  1. I might have done mine with a sharp blade too, just don't tell @Avacado I did But it works fine with acetone and a tim spreader like he said, that's what I did on the more expensive CPU instead of risking it with a blade. It's better to be safe with a chip like that, it's cheaper to spend an hour cleaning than messing it up and having to pay for a new one
  2. I've been reading along, as I had no idea what to say. Good to see that everyone is ready to help out, and I've added a subscription too. Not sure about a LAN event though, I can't mute anyone there
  3. That would be over 200 dollars in the Netherlands, if it's regular fuel
  4. Dang @iamjanco, love the progress! I also like seeing things like that 12V PCB, reminds me of the control panels at work
  5. I'm not an nvidia guy, I use a product that works for me. I've owned at least 8 AMD cards, if not more. Sucks for AMD, but their GPU's are really bad at folding@home which is why I have so many nvidia cards instead. And the burned GPU was a 46something I think, not the cheapaz card I have a few brands I like, though that sometimes changes after a few years. I used Logitech for years, but my current mouse and keyboard are Corsair. PSU's have been Corsair for as long as I can remember, nvidia GPU's are EVGA, fans are Corsair, pumps are Aquacomputer D5's, memory from G.Skill, radiators from Alphacool and so on... Nice work @Storm-Chaser! I also like that Dutch flag on top
  6. I love cloud gate! The high end cards are held back for sure, as my 3090 was maxing out at 360W with a 620W power limit Your TS score beats mine, though I don't have permission from @Avacado to start soldering on my 3090 I'm not too afraid of those high FPS numbers (famous last words). I'm using the Rev 1.0 card now which seems to be a better working card as far as power distribution goes. No magic smoke so far, and if so I've got a good reason to get a fresh one...
  7. Were you reliving the road trip you once mentioned?
  8. I forgot to turn on an extra GPU, but I'm using that one now If I don't forget about it I'll turn it on tonight..
  9. I almost ordered the TG one, though there are a few bad reviews about quality on the back of the bracket.. Fingers crossed these work for you guys, maybe I'll get one of those too.
  10. Depends on the life you have lived I guess, for some that's enough punishment The fact you even think about LOD mods makes me cry, and you dare calling yourself righteous I have a 780Ti, though there are 2 smd's gone and I still need to figure out which ones I need.
  11. I paid €85 for mine You make me want to run my card on the 5800x system without voltmods just to prove there is more to it than just the 12900KF... Yeah, something about a warm place reserved for them in the afterlife....
  12. You will get all the answers soon enough! The CPU was still at 5ghz the first time I broke 36k points, so you can do this too Pookiedookie I bet you can get more out of your M2000 if you push it a little. It also likes memory clocks, that's worth 1.5k points on the last submission.. It's a bit unfair with the physics though Nice! That's a lot of global gold cups All the magic smoke... Thanks J, this is just for fun though. I think Luke started it with his M2000, the Pook had one too and crushed his scores. Avacado made me buy one too so we could make this an ExtremeHW party. I might be a step ahead now though, as there are a few things soldered to the back of my card
  13. @The Pook @damric @Avacado Work to do boys, this is just a teaser (hopefully ) Next step involves a bit more risk...
  14. 5cm diameter, solid with rubber on the outside, metal frame and all. They'll do the job just fine
  15. Not a great way to start your day, everyone was ok though... Glad it wasn't my own van, that one was in for repairs
  16. I love the @Spotswood stuff and aluminium frames in general. I'm following him on Instagram too, besides seeing some nice frames and cases it also gives me inspiration for my own (somewhat oversized) bench table.
  17. Sounds like a lot of fun! You should record some of these steps and make a video out of it
  18. She'll be fine And that chip is sexy
  19. Good to hear you have a new one, and I hope it'll work like it should
  20. I could use a bunch of those Also, countersinking the mounting bolts for the bracket is a great idea which I might steal, I mean borrow..
