  1. Full title as there's not enough characters: Samsung Begins Mass Production of 14-Inch and 16-Inch OLED Displays That Apple Might Use for 2022 MacBook Pro Samsung Begins Mass Production of 14-Inch and 16-Inch OLED Displays That Apple Might Use for 2022 MacBook Pro WWW.MACRUMORS.COM Samsung Display today announced that it has started mass production of 14-inch and 16-inch OLED displays for laptops, and a key feature of...
  2. The ProMotion screen is the only thing that is worth upgrading for, but is only available on the iPhone Pro models. If you have an iPhone 11 or 12, it's not worth it. Realistically, are you really going to see a difference in real world use between an iPhone 12 and iPhone 13? I couldn't tell going from an 11 to 12 Pro. The only reason why I did upgrade is because I got a better deal from my network provider. The only real world difference you're going to see is with the 120Hz screen which will make the phone feel a lot more responsive. I have to say this event was disappointing for me. The only thing i was really looking forward to was the new MacBook Pro which wasn't announced and the Apple Watch 7 which I would have bought had it looked like these "leaks" from a few weeks ago I'm not a fan of round edges so this would have been an instant purchase for me, but instead, Apple made the edges even rounder than the Apple Watch 6.
  3. There was a recent leak from nVidia that listed Gran Turismo 7 as one of the playable games on GeForce Now. So I do think Gran Turismo 7 on PC could happen. If it does, I do hope it supports VR on PC. Once you try a racing game in VR, it's very difficult to go back to using a screen.
  4. That's not going to happen. Remember the HDD shortage after that flood quite a few years back? They made back more than enough HDDs to make up for that loss but HDD prices were still through the roof 5 years later. The same is going to happen with GPUs but worse because there's an actual shortage right now and has been for a while. I expect normal prices in 2025 at the absolute earliest.
  5. Gran Turismo is literally the only race series that has the non-CR AP2 S2000, so it might be in there.
  6. Platforms: Playstation 4, Playstation 5 Release Date: 4th March 2022 Price: $59.99 USD, £59.99, €69.99 PS4, $69.99 USD, £69.99, €79.99 PS5. $/£/€10 PS4 to PS5 upgrade Car list: Tracks:
  7. I'm actually still annoyed about that one time I spent like a week mining bitcoin, I managed to get 0.74. At the time, it was basically worthless and I ended up spending more in electricity anyway so I didn't save the wallet. I have absolutely no way of getting it back. Right now, that is a lot of money just gone forever.
  8. IIRC the most profitable way to mine right now is with the Nicehash bitcoin miner. It mines ETH and converts it to BTC. It's not very profitable unless you have a few mining rigs, but at that point you might as well just get a few ASIC miners. Personally, I would mine but electricity costs for me are higher than the amount of money I'd get back so I just don't.
  9. I just found out the stocks app for macOS can do crypto as well, so that's neat.
  10. "Dollar cost averaging" If you want to put in (for example) $1000, you don't put all of it in at once, instead, you put in £100 a week until you've invested $1000 total. When the markets are going up or short term, this isn't very effective, and you'll most likely end up not making as much as you wanted to. But long term, it's a safe way to make the most amount of money. If done right, you'll end up with more of that cryptocurrency over time than if you just bought $1000 worth.
  11. My post is slightly misleading. I did only buy them a few months ago It's just that the time scale that Coinbase does on that page is 1h, 24h, 1w, 1m, 1y. I bought these in March and just sold them today while still up. I'm going to buy back in once this all calms down a bit. I bought ADA because I just happened to come across back when Doge started going crazy a few months ago and I saw people mention ADA as an alternative. I looked into it seemed like a promising project with actual goals. The fact that it gets used in those "send x amount of ADA and we will send you double" scams, which I can't believe people still fall for, that's like a Runescape scam from 2002 also showed me that people are taking it seriously. I also tend to avoid "meme" cryptos or any crypto that has doge/shiba, baby, elon, mars, moon, safe, rocket or anything to do with space in the name or have been "endorsed" by celebrities because those have always been scam coins that end up getting rug pulled. As far as buying it goes, I just DCA. It's not the most efficient way to do it, but it's the safest. Also not selling when you have a paper loss. You might have put in $100 and it's now at $80, but it's not an actual loss until you sell.
  12. I've just had a look at some crypto prices after seeing a bunch of smug people saying "ha, see, we told you it's going to crash and you're going to lose everything." Here's the ones I owned over the last month: And the last 12 months:
  13. Yeah, that's normal. "Oh no, it dropped 7% in 1 hour, better sell" I do think it's going to go down a bit more before picking up again.
  14. Someone sold 17 million ADA a few hours ago making the price drop 7%. Whoever it was, they got an absolute ton of money. They sold at around $3 giving them ~$51,000,000.
  15. That explains why they look like an after thought then.
  16. I did some photoshopping and I actually kind of like it like this. Removed headlight washers, radio antenna and side marker as well as fixing some paint issues and cleaning it up a bit. Original for comparison: The headlight washers I know can be removed legally, but the side marker, I'm not sure. I do know it's not a legal requirement to have them in Europe because EUDM only cars generally don't have them. The EUDM cars that do have them only really have them because they're also sold in the US and they're a legal requirement there. The part that I'm not sure of is whether or not it's legal for me to remove them if they came stock.
  17. Nope, you got it all wrong. The fix is to sell it and buy a Toyota.
  18. Microsoft will release Windows 11 on October 5th WWW.THEVERGE.COM It will be a free upgrade for existing Windows 10 PCs.
  19. This is a thing that can happen with Hondas/Acuras so if you have one you should probably do something about it GitHub - HackingIntoYourHeart/Unoriginal-Rice-Patty: "Unoriginal-Rice-Patty" is my personal title for the Replay-based attack on Honda and Acura vehicles GITHUB.COM "Unoriginal-Rice-Patty" is my personal title for the Replay-based attack on Honda and Acura vehicles - GitHub - HackingIntoYourHeart/Unoriginal-Rice-Patty:...
  20. And SSD requirement won't be as much of a problem because you can just get a 120GB SATA SSD these days for like £20 vs having to spend a couple of hundred on a new CPU and motherboard.
  21. That car is totally poggies. Got any more pictures?
  22. I actually agree. There's a ton of more than good enough hardware that can run Windows 11 but they wanted to bring in the TPM 2.0 requirement. I can understand requiring a 64 bit CPU, that's been the standard for a very long time now. But requiring an Intel 8xxx or Ryzen 2000 or newer makes no sense. Especially when something like an Intel Atom x6200FE will work with no issues, but a 7700K won't. They should just give older CPUs full support, but have a warning message when you try to install it saying "This PC does not have TPM 2.0, you will not get the best security unless you buy a TPM 2.0 compatible PC" or something like that.
  23. I don't, however I was going to start buying shares in various companies. It does seem like unless you go through a broker, there really isn't much of a choice in the UK. For this reason, I ended up just abandoning the idea and just investing in Crypto instead.
  24. I'd just avoid Robinhoood after the whole thing that happened with GME and AMC stock. Both were going up a lot, and Robinhood automatically sold some peoples shares in GME and AMC without permissions for "their protection" while it was still going up, then locked them from buying back in again. That type of business practise just put me off it completely. If it were available in the UK and I had an account with them, I'd just close it. @ENTERPRISEas far as stock trading apps, there really aren't any in the UK. eToro is the only real choice from what I've seen.
