  1. Well, sub-$2K the best you can really get is a 3070Ti. You might be able to find a 3080.
  2. I bought a used PS4 Pro and a copy of GT7. 4/10, would do again.
  3. I've just learned how to use the photomode in this. It's incredible, this is from the PS4 Pro version so no ray tracing. The developers used witchcraft to make it look this good. It even has a built in Instagram filters.
  4. It's finally out and it does look very good. I can't say for certain because I've not actually played it yet. I was going to wait to get a PS5 then the game, but that looks like it's going to be impossible to do. Apparently Sony is only sending new stock to retailers once every 6 months and they all sell out immediately to bots and end up on ebay for 2x retail price. I just ended up buying a PS4 Pro and a copy for the PS4, I should get them on Tuesday. The Amazon delivery does say it's been dispatched and I should get them tomorrow so
  5. I've just found out about the Working Title CJ4. It's nearly a study level plane that but it's free. It offers so many improvements over the standard CJ4. Most notably, it's not as twitchy as the stock one and most of the FMS stuff actually works now.
  6. There's a lot of ancient technology that has been lost and then found again in more recent times long after the "modern" versions were made. The Baghdad battery is a pretty good one. A battery that's over 2100 years old, lost to time then rediscovered in the 1930s. Something that wouldn't be made again until the 1790s. No one actually knows what the Baghdad battery was used for, but the theory is electroplating, which Mythbusters proved would be possible. Just imagine how far ahead we'd be now if this kind of tech hadn't been lost and instead had been improved. We might even have laptops and phones now that would last several weeks on a full charge, or even an EV with a range of over 5000 miles on a full charge.
  7. I saw a video on the internet of someone who was having issues with an engine in a car stored outside that hadn't been started in 5 years, the engine was seized and it took a lot of work to fix it. My car has been outside for 6 years and hasn't been started in just as long so I thought I'd try turning it over using a breaker bar on the crankshaft, it's not seized, but it also seems like there's no compression.
  8. Source Don't threaten me with a good time then not do it. In all likelihood, I don't think they'd shut down their services in the EU. This is just an empty threat to get people on their side to go against this new law. Whatsapp is to Europe what iMessage is to the US.
  9. What's putting me off buying a console now, is if I do I'd want the PS5. The PS5 is sold out literally everywhere except ebay where used ones are selling for 50-200% over MSRP, so I won't do it. I just really hope those leaks were true and it does come to PC. I'd be okay buying a console just for GT7, I've done so in the past, but the prices right now are just a joke.
  10. GT7 is being released in a month from now. Playstation uploaded a 40 minute video featuring a lot of information as well as a bit of gameplay and showing off the various different menus and game modes.
  11. Microsoft basically already confirmed that none of those games are going to be Xbox/PC exclusives. The only games that are going to remain exclusives are ones that have always been exclusives such as Halo and Forza.
  12. Huh? I have a bunch of games in my Steam library that have since been removed for sale and I can still play them just fine. They're all still on the download servers, you can just no longer purchase them because of licensing.
  13. Microsoft are speed running business in the acquisition% category.
  14. Looks like this is the end of the BTC bull run for this halving. It had since dropped a further £100 all in the space of about 1 minute. Bitcoin has been following the same trends since it came out, so I see BTC going down to around $15K-$18K, then it's really going to yeet up to $250K-$300K ATH during 2024/25. Now lets see if I'm right, anyone got a time machine I can borrow?
  15. You can still get monitors with built in speakers, but they're kind of expensive because they usually come with a pretty decent panel. Webcam and microphone, I don't think so. I've never heard of one. I'm guessing they've seen all-in-ones and think that's just a monitor?
  16. There are a few paid addons that I would like, but my god they're expensive. PMDG DC-6 - $70 PMDG 777-200 - $140 PMDG 777-300ER addon (777-200 required) - $30 Aerosoft CRJ 500/750/900/1000 bundle - $95 I suppose the price is justified because all of them are study level addons. I know these take an obscene amount of time and effort to make. This is why I'm very grateful that the A320Neo from FlyByWire is free. I know they're also working on a study level A380, I'm not sure if that's going to be free though.
  17. I've just found out about NeoFly. It's pretty neat, it basically adds a career mode into MSFS.
  18. One thing I do like about this game is that you can see IRL pilots making mistakes.
