My understanding is if you want to keep your premium membership and donate you need to sign up for both, A Premium membership and monthly donation. You can't have two Premium subs so it had to be split between those and donations.

I don't really have any thing special. I think I have a 4690k, 8700k lying around. I have most of the components needed to build out a 8700k rig. I also have a 980Ti sitting around.

Sorry for the double post, but for content, while I can't create it I do have some old hardware laying around not super old but if donating it could spur anything I would gladly, It just sits in my closet lol.

I should probably update this lol. I went with an AC unit. I thought about a chair but I have a standing desk and stand 90% of the time. I can't even remember the last time I sat at my desk, although I do have discounts on Herman miller so I'm going to start putting a few bucks away a month and use my new 200$ they gave me for a an Aeron.

Its funny one part of me is like the government has no business mandating this, but part of me is like thank god one type of cable lol

I wouldn't mind it for consoles if it was Console + A game or two of your choosing + maybe a controller. Thats reasonable for a person who wants the console to maybe dissuade people from buying to scalp. But adding the crappy headset, charger, random games most people don't want that annoys me.

Now I have a real reason to stop forgetting my platinum upgrade lol, but I totally get it. Keep up the good work!!

I played it originally on PS4 not the PC remake but I thought it was a solid open world adventure game. One of the better done ones and felt like the world was refreshing with its take on post apocalyptic.

I'm currently messing with barbarian in Baldur's Gate 3.

Nothing lol, I don't trust anyone or anything I don't know personally. And even then I'm still a trust but verify kind of guy.

The question is does Nvidia have some hardware innovations they were just taking their sweet time on cause they didn't need to. Selfishly I hope so because I want more powerful and more efficient designs lol. I do like the competition though and easily would have gotten a 6800 but the 3080 queue popped up first.

I'm sure they have done the analysis and people end up taking less overall, and when people leave they don't have to pay it out hah

I wish, its a one time thing and we just got acquired so I have to spend it in the next 2 weeks. Although the new company has an unlimited vacation policy as long as you can make it work so they are paying out our accumulated vacation at the end of the month.

That's a fair point. I work and game. Work is really just normal computer use. There is nothing computer related when it comes to the usual suspects that I can think of that need an upgrade. I have good pair of headphones, I am missing a good chair but with my standing desk I don't really ever sit anymore. My current leaders are: New coffee scale and kettle or a Portable AC.

A/C is on my short list, I want to get one of the portable ones if I get one. Headphone isn't a bad idea, I have DT880s already but there is no such thing as too many headphones.

I have a one time allowance of $400 USD from work. I can spend it on anything that makes my office work better. Could be water dispenser, monitor, chair, plants whatever. I have 8 days to spend it. My default is a monitor if I can't come up with anything else, but I don't really need that haha.

I can't wait for this. I will end up with one eventually to play with I think, or just live through you all.

The bubble in my area was fueled by covid. People were trying to escape NYC and come where I am. I sold my house in 7 days with a cash offer and bought a new one. The new one was tough to find but I'm in my forever home and with a 2.8% mortgage I'll never have to refinance. According to zillow my house is already worth 100k more then I paid for it, stuff is crazy. Edit: I used a mortgage broker both times I purchased. I didn't pay them, the lender did and they do all the legwork. I can't vouch for all of them but I'll never secure lending myself ever after working with a broker. My brother and law used the same one and had zero issues getting a loan with a 580 score.
