  1. I have cut my finger on that Zalman cooler once or twice.
  2. Doesn't appear to be anything there E.
  3. That case brings back so many memories.
  4. My flip mode squad is so Dangerous.
  5. The otherside (Backplate side) takes 0.5mm on the 12 DIMM areas. I did not bother to replace them, but will at some point.
  6. Ha! And that is with 2 of the M40's on the sidelines! One of these days, when I get a hold of some 3 series cards (And it won't be just one) I'm not going to say anything. And hit you with a 5 million update!
  7. Another familiar name. Welcome.
  8. When living in a cubicle isn't enough just at the office.
  9. Alright, secured the needed MOBO. https://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=X399D8A-2T#Specifications I have 30 FT of Mayhems clear 10/16, and have another 30 FT of Tygon coming, will wait to see what works best. Iv'e got stock to choose from as far as RADs and tube res/pumps. 2x Acool ST30 360, 1x Acool XT45 420, 2xAquacomputer D5's 1x Swiftech D5, Handful of BP cylindrical res's. Just have to figure out what chassis I want to run with. I really think I will be modifying this mining chassis to my will. Iv'e already begun cannibalizing my meshify C. I have never modded a case before, I feel like I will create some abomination! we shall see. Once the extra 1.5mm thermal pads arrive, I can begin putting the 5 Tesla's in their swimsuits.
  10. Despite my best efforts, with my Asus Zenith Extreme x399 down (So sad about this) along with the 60 lanes from the 1900x, I had to resort to using the only other thing I had on hand, A Z390 w/ new 9900k. Now I tried every conceivable combination of 1x risers, M.2. to 4x risers, I could not for the life of me get the second rig to fold reliably with more than 3 cards, it just doesn't happen. I managed to get GPU-z to see 5 cards using the 3x16x slots and both M.2. to 4x adapters, but it was very unstable. Thing is, with 16 PCI-e lanes for the CPU, you are left with limited other options. I know that there are 8 additional lanes on the SB, 4x of them being used by the 3rd pci-e 16x slot, but again, despite my best efforts I could not get them stable. So, until I can get a replacement x399 board, the 2nd folding rig will only be using 3 Tesla's and the iGPU to drive video. I even tried adding a 6th Tesla to the working X399, but that resulted in the board actually not seeing 3 of the cards. With the GT710 and 5 Teslas, I think it's safe to say I reached the capacity of the board. Now, the board I have only has 1 traditional M.2 slot, which I am using, there is 1x Vertical M.2. but it is a different plug style compared to the risers I have. So I will be looking for an X399 board that has to have 5 PCI-e 16x slots. A care package from PPCs came today. And the above is why I NEED a 5 16x slot MOBO. There is a server board on ebay, I am probably going to get. I will be modifying one of my mining chassis to run the other 5 teslas under water. Really looking forward to that build!
  11. Unfortunately one of the x399 boards is broken and the cards just will not play nice with the Z390 board and 9900k. I will be running half of the Teslas on Monday. so 5 million PPD lost until I can get a replacement x399 board. Without the extra cards, I suspect I will be posting sub 3 million 3 hour updates.
  12. Seem to have pushed past the freezing issues with the M40's. They have made it 4 hours without locking up and the real test will be if they make it over night. Maybe adding the second PSU and taking some of the load off the 1600w (Should have been able to handle the load) helped. Noticed that they are folding better, running cooler, quicker TPF and slightly more PPD after changing the TIM and thermal pads. So far, so good, we're crusin!
  13. @ENTERPRISE I see the livestream area on the forums, it appears to be disabled or there is no way to create that kind of event. I would like to be able to do something like that for on the spot helping a forum member if needed. Is this possible?
  14. @tictoc I know you have this board. https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASRock-X399D8A-2T-AMD-TR4-4094P-X399-DDR4-Max-128GB-PCIE-SATA-ATX-Repaired/164330934011?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2763.l2649 Is it a good deal? I have offered a low ball 255$. I need 5 PCI-e slots for the 5 tesla GPU's that I will be putting under water.
  15. Before I have to turn to fleabay, does anyone have a used x399?
  16. No worries, let me know when you are ready for a bending tutorial. I only have a cell phone for recording so it might be a bit weird.
  17. That tubing you linked is in fact "Crystal Link" and is acrylic. It is extremely hard to work with compared to PETG. Steer clear of it until you have a saw and are very experienced with bending. And no, ID does not matter when it refers to Hardline the way it does for soft tube. There is no Barb that has to conform to the ID of the tubing, just the O-ring that has to seal the OD.
  18. Side note, these Phanteks fittings have to be the NICEST presentation I have ever seen for a fitting. Effing felt ffs.
  19. THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR MENTIONING THE LAW IN THE FIRST PLACE! You brought this juju on yourself.
  20. Figured I would just start a post with all of my adventures moving forward with "Projeck T3sla". This will start at my last hiccup. I have added in a 2nd PSU and have taken apart and re applied TIM and new thermal pads to all 5 of the cards that will remain on air. I pray the system doesn't lock up from here on out, because the temps looks great! Low 20's c Idle. Small details: - All 5 air cards "renewed" - Running one of the cards of an M.2. to PCI-e 4x riser. Pretty happy with the limited results thus far. Before any card that was not in a 16x lane was getting 5.0GT/s bandwidth, now they are all getting 8.0, which makes me happy. - Though TDP is 250w on these cards, they rarely go above 200w. In fact 2 of my cards hover around 160-170w with the other 3 staying in the 180-190 usage area. Why some use more and some use less, I have no clue. Been working on this all day, pretty tired. Will tidy up the page and update more when I have MOAR energy.
