  1. Well, they are still some for 119$ on there. They were data center cards, so well maintained. They will put out about 1.1 million PPD. You will need 2x GPU cables to power the thing. I mean, I have had fun doing this project and it keeps me busy. But again, I have sank waaaay more money in this project than I thought I would. Buying one to have fun with I would support, but don't go crazy.
  2. Well there is another familiar face.
  3. Yes. Yes they do. One EPS 8 pin. Having gone down this hole, I can't recommend anyone follow who doesn't mind putting A LOT of time into tweaking it. I use 2x 8 pin PCI-e to 1x EPS adapters. If you WERE to try one, I could send you a power adapter and a 3d printed cooler for it, which is a must. I would even send it for free minus shipping. I have extras now that i'm putting 5 under water.
  4. So I started putting on one of the waterblocks tonight and of course, the stock backplate does not fit with the block. So.. had to order 5 backplates all the way from Germany. Project on hold some more. Another 200$, geez. https://shop.watercool.de/HEATKILLERZ-GPU-Backplate-for-GTX-980-980Ti-and-TITAN-X
  5. Willing to deal @tictoc Can you post a pic of the board? I got a 3rd TR, but not the MOBO.
  6. And... Then there was this. https://www.tomshardware.com/news/cryptominers-fool-nvidia-anti-mining-limited-hdmi-dummy-plug
  7. Love it! That sage is making me drool.
  8. Freezing in the office this morning. Left the windows open last night. Mind you, both cards are Mining. Loop, CPU, Voltage, Core spd, GPU1, GPU2.
  9. Hard to know without reading the item description.
  10. Absolutely. GPU-z will list PCI-e speed, multiplier and bandwidth. I don't have a 3090, so maybe you could experiment for us. At least for the 2080's and Teslas, I haven't noticed a performance impact between 16/8/4. Maybe 10% at most with 4, but usually not. 1x for sure there is a huge impact.
  11. Most modern chips have 16 lanes anyway. You'll be fine as long as its within the past 8 years or so.
  12. You'll still get it's full potential with at least 4x. Even with higher end cards. What matters more is proper power regulation. Ensure the cards are getting enough juice.
  13. In a 2 GPU scenario, yes. Most any CPU/MOBO combo will do.
  14. You can add me as a prize contributor for folding time. I'll donate 24 hours of 10x Tesla folding as a prize for a winner. Caveat, Would like it to be someone who earns <5 million PPD
  15. So I took apart the meshify c and am left with a test bench and 360 rad mount. I bought 2 external 360 rad mounts that I will mod on to the 2nd mining chassis for the 5 teslas going under water.
  16. Looks good. I have my eye on a 1950x and 399 combo on ebay, if I don't get it, well talk!
  17. I did buy it, waiting on it to arrive from Ebay. Should have it in a few days. Would you be willing to part with the Taichi? I actually will end up needing 3 TR boards. 1 for the 5 Teslas on air (Have x399 Gigabyte w/ 2950x) That board and CPU will be going into my Caselabs TH10a with the 4 2080ti's when I finally get a new card, and then that will need a replacement. The server board will go with a 1900x and 5 additional Tesla's I am putting under water.
  18. Word. You using Lar.Systems database for reference?
  19. Glad that you have been doing work on this and the handicap is a great solution. I must say I disagree with making Linux OS a variable. I personally have never used Linux, which I know can yield better PPD on some cards. It doesn't seem right or fair that to compete, I would have to learn a whole new OS. There should only be 2 variables, luck of the WU's being assigned and OCing. I get it, a lot of people use Linux, but still that would suck to have to get to learn to be relevant.
  20. 30ft of neoprene from USP. More thermal pads and a fuel filter for the Tesla projeckt.
  21. Sweet, looks like it works. Thanks E
