  1. Ok, I'll admit it. What is going on here is mindblowingly cool. It also makes me feel quite stoopid. This is about 5 levels above my knowledge base.
  2. It's the equivalent of an EVBot plug on Classified and Kingpin cards. Yes, used for flashing and setting voltage.
  3. Cool, but it's Maxwell, why do that when NVflash works as well. Shouldn't help really. The 8 pin EPS that it comes with is plenty. The TDP is 250w. 2x6 pins is about the same. Might raise total wattage 50-60w, which might help on the back end. I don't see the benefit of doing both of those mods, but it is cool as hell you know how to do it. I think Voltage matters the most on the M40's. I was never able to boost it. So I am very interested to see what else you come up with.
  4. Couldn't you buy a replacement backplate and solder the rear waterblock?
  5. Oh my god E, I didn't know you had Huntington's. That's horrible, it might take a few minutes for the other guys to realize what you just told us. Hopefully not symptomatic yet. I can't possibly imagine how you have come to grips with that. I'm really, REALLY sad right now, damn (Like really). Here if you ever need anything.
  6. @Bastiaan_NL actually just got them and i'm so effing jealous. They are quite good. I am sure he could get them to 7000MHz if he tried.
  7. Be careful what you wish for. 5950 xxx sounds a lot like intels version of 14nm +++
  8. It's never a bad thing or too frequent to disassemble blocks and clean them if you have the energy.
  9. Agree totally. Have seen some good content coming out of our user base. Would be more than happy to help moderate that section if it is created.
  10. Come watch our very own Bones do some exotic cooling and possibly set some HWBot records in the process. The stream will be live this Friday 02/18/22 at 1300 EST.
  11. *Reserved for my 750Ti FTW with a 6-pin connector that doesn't actually supply any power to the card.
  12. This is the official EVGA FTW Whiskey Tango Foxtrot club. Feel free to share your most valuable annoying cards with the group. This club is not exclusive to EVGA cards. The whiskey tango foxtrot brand encompasses all manufacturers. Plan to embed a table later at some point. Please someone remind me because I have the memory of a mosquito.
  13. No worries. The BP fittings are great, but also very expensive. The Bykski fittings have never failed during multiple iterations of builds. They still come HIGHLY recommended and are very affordable. They are also the most forgiving fittings I have ever worked with (But you knew that :)).
  14. They look gold to me. I can see where the 12mm fittings are closer to Orange, but the 14mm ones look gold imo. My choice? BP true brass 100%. I only like the Anti-off fittings because I do crazy ass bends that put a lot of strain on the fittings. BP True brass are of much higher quality. As Arch stated, the BP fittings are polished brass 100%.
  15. I took a full sized color picture of the board and socket with perfect pin alignment, along with a date/time stamp in the return box. I really hope they try to tell me I did something wrong.
  16. There no I in..... Oh wait, all of them have "I"s in their names....
  17. Would have been early 2000's for me. LGA 775 Core 2 Duo. Was all about the CPU folding back then. I remember one of the 1st hospitals I worked at, I would install F@H on all of the computers I got my hands on. I think at one point I had installed my "Malware" on 40 computers all running F@H light. Working on getting a rig going again. Will most likely be the 3060Ti and the Tesla M40 Quad GPU.
  18. Your pictures are amazing. Solid build guide! Very impressed.
  19. The problem isn't the ram going up high it's the IMC on the CPU that can't do it
