  1. I think there might be some confusion here. I have the Next flow meter, not pump. Just making sure we are on the same page. I hear you on the pew pew pew though. 8 Years Army.
  2. Indeed. Similar setup here about 1 1/2 feet away. I have really acute hearing, so I pick up everything. Still it does not bother me. I would feel like I gave bad advice if I did not disclose everything I know about the product i'm recommending. It may or may not bother him. But I wouldn't know.
  3. No thats my pump. There is a faint ticking sound behind the pump. Thats the flow meter.
  4. Here you go. You might not even be able to hear it. Its a slow ticking sound. It's not offensive, kind of soothing. 2022_01_29_21_25_05.mp3
  5. Its not loud, but I can definitely hear it 2nd after the hum of the D5 pump. Ill see if I can snag some audio
  6. I second this sentiment Berg. Running one in the office. Bar none, best thing out there. Though it does have a mechanical impellor if that sound bothers you it could be a problem. 7. I mean it should work. Does the tube have grooves to screw into a base?
  8. It should fit into any compatible D5 Pump topper head. This is my go to: Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM I might have an extra brand new one in the dungeon, I can check if you want.
  9. Original: NVIDIA NVFlash (5.728.0) Download | TechPowerUp WWW.TECHPOWERUP.COM NVIDIA NVFlash is used to flash the graphics card BIOS on Ampere, Turing, Pascal and all older NVIDIA cards. NVFlash supports BIOS flashing on NVID ID mismatch: NVIDIA NVFlash with Board Id Mismatch Disabled (v5.590.0) Download | TechPowerUp WWW.TECHPOWERUP.COM This is a patched version of NVIDIA's NVFlash. On Turing cards, NVFlash no longer allows overriding of the "board ID mismatch" message through comm Certificates bypassed: NVIDIA NVFlash with Certificate Checks Bypassed (v5.287) Download | TechPowerUp WWW.TECHPOWERUP.COM This modified version of NVFlash lets you flash a modified BIOS to your NVIDIA graphics card.
  10. Yea, maybe I used the wrong NVflash at the time. Figures. There are 3 versions. Regular, ID mismatch and Cert checks bypassed.
  11. There is nothing more accurate than aquacomouters offerings. You can join the pre order list on mod my mods. When I did it, I got the flow sensor about a month after I ordered. There is a barrowch flow/temp/rpm sensor that is decent. I have 2.
  12. You shouldn't need to upgrade unless you want. 8700k's are still very good, but run very hot. You should easily be able to achieve 5GHz with adequate cooling. I would set 5GHz in BIOS at 1.3-1.35v, VCCIO/SA 1.2v/ LLC4 or 5 and back off from there if stable. Again, what is your cooling solution? Wait, did you necro a post from 2020?
  13. You might have more success with the M4000's than I did. I bought a pair of them for SLI benching. I was never able to flash anything on them. If you were able to succeed with the M2000, then you might want to try it. Wish I wouldn't have sold them.
  14. You can add whatever it will take. The voltage and wattage is there. I don't know how much in terms of MHz the silicon will take.
  15. That's what I'm talkin bout. What settings did you change?
  16. Was off the article you posted. See here Thoughts about the 790i... - Post Cards from the Edge - AMD 780G, NVIDIA 790i, Gigabyte 680i WWW.ANANDTECH.COM
  17. We've talked about some of these issues Ciar, I would stay clear of z690 and DDR5 as long as possible. I just had my RMA'd kit of G.Skill 5600 die. I will not be sending them back for a second RMA. Luckily I had an additional kit which I am now using. It honestly just isn't worth it to try at all at this point. From what I have read, NO Z690 board is immune from RAM OCing issues despite any price tag. I have heard some rumblings about M.2. Drives, but have not read anything specific.
  18. "It is possibly coincidence only, but over the past couple of months we have lost two WD Raptors, a couple of Samsung 500GB drives, and a WD 250GB drive while benchmarking the 790/780i boards." Thanks for the article, it was a good read. Appears that the issue happens at 400MHz FSB and Memory OC past 1600MHz. So I will re-image when I have time and keep the FSB at 400 and RAM at 1600. I had been pushing past 400 and 1600, so that explains the corruption. Glad to know i'm not going crazy here.
  19. Played OOTP21 and enjoyed it. How is 22?
  20. Can crysis play crysis? Thats a good one.
  21. I'm sure you are the only one missing me complain about it Thats the thing about folding. Once you are over the excitement of learning how to do it properly, have set your maximum OC's and lowered power consumption, that's it. You just sit back and wait for a new WU to be released that upped your PPD by 100k. I needed more. Not to say I won't try to get something folding again at some point, just not everything I have. Thanks for the compliment, I appreciate it. I am sure you are going to do fine as a captain!
