  1. My RMA'd kit of DDR5 just had a stick die. I turned on the computer in the dungeon and one of the LEDs was stuck on rainbow. Sure enough was not being recognized in CPUz. Luckily I had a spare kit on hand. I am returning for a refund. If this other kit has issues I am going back to DDR4.
  2. Indeed. Will most likely use pots for DICE. It's easy to transport, store and there is plenty locally. Only thing holding me back is the price of the pots. Will also need thermal probe devices. Venting should be easy enough.
  3. No one else was doing it. Some not squashed bad blood from the ETF. Was the logical choice. Plus I love bios modding.
  4. I'm starting to feel like Greg. This is without the 2 660s in the 775, the 3070 in the office, the 770 classy and 3 other 9 series cards on the way... Going to take a year to bench all this.
  5. FUBARd. I deleted all partions and volumes and formatted/cleaned the disk. When trying to re-install win7, it sees the disk, but puts up an error saying it can't be installed. I don't have the exact error code (At work), but when researched it just says to do what I already did. I hate to throw away an entire MX500 drive too. =/
  6. Update: I have never corrupted an OS before this build. Apparently experimenting with different OC's corrupted win7. So much to the point that I can no longer use the SSD it was on despite using CHKDSK and DISK PART. I have ordered a bunch of 256GB variants and will re-install win7 on it this weekend. I am done OC checking and will leave the system at 4.0GHz 24/7 moving forward. Once I am up an running I have some older games only on CD/DVD rom that I am looking forward to playing again. I will also be acquiring a second EVGA 790i through a current ebay listing or Samsrulz. Will be cool to have 2 of these boards.

So the MOBO/RAM and both CPU's I purchased for this board were DOA. They were from a seller on OCN who I knew and surprised me. No harm no foul, but I am on the hunt for another board/cpu/ram combo. I will most likely pick up a second EVGA Nforce 790i and use one of the many CPU's I have for the LGA 775 platform. I love the idea of old tech still being able to perform in 2022. Or I will use one of the extra z390/9900k builds I have laying around. I will have to do maintenance on the one in the office and switch it out as it is a bad bin and can't do more than 5.0GHz. Though they are both delidded, the one in the dungeon right now can do 5.3GHz and it would be wasted on a NAS. Though it would probably be the fastest NAS on the planet.
  8. Great trailer! I have been meaning to purchase this.
  9. Would that 3090 be able to fold 24/7? Glad you are taking my vacant spot. Thought I'm not on the team anymore, I'm still a Foldaholic fan for lyfe.
  10. Of course it's the 6000MHz RAM. I unfortunately own 64GB of their 5600 variant which I can't above 6000MHz stable. I love how they say the 8888MHz frequency was CPUz validated, but the actual validation screenshot is for 7070MHz
  11. Unless the rules have changed, going to need about 350 sample units before that 750Ti is eligible right?
  12. Well, I didn't list the Classifieds or the Kingpins, even though they should count here
  13. It's been a minute. Re-acquired a 750Ti FTW, model unknown as it has been peeled off the back of the card and there was no box. Bought 01/19/22. 3070Ti. Bought 11/17/21. Model 08G-P5-3797-KL 960 FTW. Bought 01/25/22. Model 04G-P4-3969-KR
  14. Quit posting those damn classified Russian documents PIO.
  15. The "good forum days" are here now and indeed lasting for a long time. I'll fight for that as long as I'm active here.
  16. I have been looking everywhere for an EVbot. Please stop making me jealous by mentioning it all the time. You know where I can find one? On the plus side, the classified tool is working perfectly with voltage now
  17. Well whatever you do decide to get, I recommend a Classified or Kingpin model. After Jerry rigging a waterblock on the 780 Classified last night, I took the number 2 spot in Cloudgate on the first run. /img/logo.png AvacadoEHW`s 3DMark - Cloud Gate score: 58011 marks with a GeForce GTX 780 HWBOT.ORG The GeForce GTX 780 @ 1333/1902MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark - Cloud Gate benchmark. 18. God no. You are off by about 50000 points. Pushing the mem won't make sense for folding, but if you were to game or anything else it would. /img/logo.png AvacadoEHW`s 3DMark - Cloud Gate score: 64559 marks with a GeForce GTX 980 HWBOT.ORG The GeForce GTX 980 @ 1630/2103MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the 3DMark -...
