  1. Careful, @Bastiaan_NLcan just go across the street for some too.
  2. And see I don't like overly clicky boards. For me the MX-Blues and similar are the worst. But I totally get why many like them.
  3. Oh this looks like what I am looking for. I'll be able to take a read more in-depth on your original post after work today.
  4. It was me who was asking. I was really looking for how to make a smaller width table as sometimes I just need a small table. When there's only like 2-3 columns, the last one always stretches to the edge of the page. The Pros/Cons table is a great example of this.
  5. Well they are using those giant oversized 4090 coolers on them aren't they? I'll have to look up some of the AIB models.
  6. Hard to say if they are going to do a 5900X3D. My gut says no, but you never know. If you really have the upgrade itch, sure go for it. If gaming is your main concern, then ditch the extra cores and get a 5800X3D. If you need the cores, then sure, its a good price. But really I agree with others. Depending on the rest of your system, resolution played at, etc, probably won't notice much of a difference.
  7. Gross card. Die class and memory config in my mind make this a card that should be like max $700 (top GA104 card last gen was $600 - 3070 Ti). I would levy that same assessment to the 7900 XTX given its not a 4090 competitor. I hope the market sees what both Nvidia and AMD are doing here. Make $1200 look bad, but "oh man if only we could spend $900 instead". Let's say Nvidia do drop it to $900, it will be seen as some big win, meanwhile that's still a price hike of $200 over the 80-card from last gen and $300 from the 3070 Ti its die size and memory config more closely resembles. Meanwhile Nvidia and AMD laugh all the way to the bank. /end Sir B's semi-often GPU rant
  8. Hmm well that is incredibly off-putting.
  9. Nice, will be interested in how you think the foldable phone is. As for me, still rocking my Gear S3 smartwatch I got back in 2018. I replaced the battery once 2 years ago and it was like new again. But now other pieces are starting to go out.
  10. Glad to see you back and recovering at home. That's the best place to be.
  11. Well I promise I am not trying to be dense. Its just my understanding that the PCI-SIG change is only about this part here: But I was also not aware there were different female plugs on the cards themselves. From my initial look online, they all look like yours (Looked up the FE, Zotac, ASUS, Gigabyte, MSI), so I really don't think the PCI-SIG proposed changes linked in this thread had anything to do with that. It's just the part I circled in red on the plug.
  12. Your pic is of the card side, not the plug on the cable. The PCI-SIG before/after pic is of the cable side.
  13. When I dabbled in crypto I definitely did not keep any of it on the exchanges. You can see why.
  14. No, I think the design change is for the cable side of it. Check your dongle and the sideband cables as they go from the connector to the sleeving. I think they are looking to just extend that plastic shroud to the end of the plug whereas right now it ends early and the wires are "in the open".
  15. Definitely a full size. Tried a TKL once and hated it. Also tried a 96% GMMK and again ended up not liking it. I'm definitely a full size.
  16. We returned it to Micro Center the next day lol.
  17. We bought a GMMK back this summer for the wife's rig and the thing just did not work. Was the strangest thing. Don't know if it was driver or software, but the keys wouldn't actuate except maybe once every 10 hits or something. I will probably be in the market for a new keyboard soon. I have a nearly 10 year old K70 and its served its purpose well but is starting to have some issues. What would you recommend I look at? I will say the one requirement I have is a wrist rest of some sort.
  18. Was this the piece that was supposed to make nvme SSD's way superior for load times? I'll have to read up more on this. For this build I had opted for cheaper Gen 3 drives given load times aren't appreciably better vs a SATA SSD currently.
  19. I might need to look for a new mechanical keyboard soon. Thanks for reminding me.
  20. Little different. I was playing some old PS2 games recently. Forgot how good the soundtrack was to The Simpsons Hit and Run. Little Ace Combat 04
  21. Serious respect from me to those who served. Thank you!
  22. Yeah air dry is what I meant.
  23. I'm curious now. I think the Ampere 12-pin connector was Nvidia made, not actually the 12VHPWR like this 16-pin is (I could be wrong). Anyway, I don't remember Ampere cards having these melting issues whether FE cards, or the 3090 Ti. Has anyone seen anything on these? It just seems to be 4090's?
  24. That does not sound very fun. Yikes, yeah some of them really do not know how to properly take blood. Do you notice how many of them forget to also dry off the alcohol they swab you with before sticking you? There's a reason it stings.
