  1. My problem is I have parts but the build dragged on so long I wish I waited on said parts. For example scored a 5600X early, but now MicroCenter has $450 5900X's.
  2. Well isn't that handy, nice lol.
  3. I haven't shopped at Newegg since probably 2011-ish. I did win a Shuffle when they first started those for a 5600X, but given how the build got put on hiatus for so long, I coulda just waited and got a 5900X at MicroCenter. The whole 3rd party reseller thing really soured my view. I do often sign up for the shuffles just to see what happens. Won a 3080 once then laughed when they wanted $1400 for it. It was $1200 on Best Buy. Still bad price, but yeah. Passed...
  4. Very interesting results. Not surprised the heatkiller pulls ahead under super heavy loads, but clearly would be ok under standard uses. How are you measuring the flow difference?
  5. Very interesting. I was curious to see how this would play out. A pin grid style like this is very old school way to make blocks.
  6. It's definitely come a long way on that front. I'm still not quite ready for the switch though given some of the games and stuff I use.
  7. Don't mind me, I'm still on 8.1 Pro. Well I know Mac was on "version 10" for what, like 2 decades? All I know is it hasn't force updated my work computer and my work is not really controlling it much. I'm still on some MacOS version from like 2018 that is fully unsupported now. Don't know why Microsoft feels the need to force update really. Haven't they already gotten their money? Here's an idea, quit removing features I like.
  8. That's a hit. I am not a laptop guy and very rarely use one personally, but many more people use them then desktops. Sad day.
  9. I think the main stat that was being looked at was the Corsair flow rating marked as 800L/h while a regular D5 like from Aquacomputer for example is 1500L/h. Source:

    It's HERE!

Forgot about this satire channel. I remember seeing the 4090 video. That said, I agree the idea of a socketable GPU chip is interesting.
  11. Nice! I had some really big payroll issues last year with my employer regarding insurance stuff. Still not sure they entirely fixed the tax aspect of the error so still waiting on my W-2 to see.
  12. I went ahead and did the backorder/preorder on MMM.
  13. Well you both put my mind at ease.
  14. Ok, that helps a lot. Thank you both for that. I am similarly very sensitive to PC noises. One of the reasons I watercool is because of how much I cannot stand a jet engine sounding PC when gaming, or fan noises in general. I generally keep my fans around 1200 RPM and my D5 pump around 40-50% for my general day to day use for reference. If that audio was your pump, I heard kind of a tick/click at 0:08 and 0:10, is that what you were referring to? Because otherwise I didn't hear anything else really, so that puts my mind at ease.
  15. Wow almost sounds like a pump? I had no idea these things made noise before you mentioned it.
  16. Oh really? Is it loud? That may pose a problem since I aim for silence with my watercooling where possible.
  17. Hmm, that is very good to know, thank you. I may just go ahead and do that then. I believe so, but don't recall off the top of my head. Looks like the D5 pump goes into a pump top (mines acetal), and then the actual reservoir.
  18. Well if I went that D5 Next route, I have an EK Quantum Kinetic TBE 200 (bought from my local Micro Center when I needed something quick) I would use it on. Just trying to figure out if that would work with the mount bracket I have on it. I am intending to mount it on top of the bottom 360 radiator/fan towards the front of the case if that makes sense. It is side mounted right now (my current rig was transplanted out of a smaller case). EK-UNI Pump Bracket (120mm FAN) Vertical - Spare parts & Tools - Accessories – EK Webshop WWW.EKWB.COM EK-UNI Pump Bracket (120mm FAN) Vertical is a horizontal and vertical mounting adapter for pump and combo unit installation. It is compatible with EK-XTOP Revo D5, EK-XTOP Revo DDC, EK-XTOP SPC pumps...
  19. My other thought was a D5 Next pump, but unsure if that is compatible with my current reservoir and how it will mount.
  20. Do you need an Aquaero to use that?
