  1. what happens when you format/try to format? CMD -> diskpart -> list disk -> select disk # (whatever it is) CMD -> list volume -> select volume # (whatever the "1862" GB volume is) -> attributes volume clear hidden then try to format (CMD -> diskpart -> list disk -> select disk # -> clean -> create partition primary -> format fs=ntfs) and then delete the array in the BIOS?
  2. system managed = dynamic, if it needs more it'll use more. it's just currently using 2048. just leave it on auto.
  3. a few months ago I needed more storage for my server and was considering some 8TB Intel P4510s. for my array size they were a "bit" out of my price range though
  4. there's a few people in the 3080 Ti thread on OCN with them. I was considering one when I first bought my 3080 Ti but never pulled the trigger on one.
  5. If I bench and set my fan curve manually to something high I can hold 1950 ezpz, but regardless if I use my quiet curve or 100% I still occasionally see PWR PerfCap in GPU-Z when gaming. Makes me sad no soldering or liquid metal: Just a moment... WWW.OVERCLOCK.NET
  6. I should probably figure out my max vRAM clock, I just set it to +525 and left it there I see 1950 for a bit but once the card warms up it'll drop to 1935. It'll hold 1935 indefinitely in most benchmarks but in some games (Cyberpunk + RDR2) it'll power limit a little lower
  7. it's a pretty lazy curve, it's just the stock curve flattened above the frequency/voltage I want +12% power limit, +525 memory, 91° temp limit.
  8. I settled for 1930 @ 900mv on mine. I still occasionally hit the power limit even there though. I wish there was an alternative to the 1KW BIOS and shunt modding, I'd like for everything to work like factory and just get maybe another 20-100w
  9. first happy holidays everyone! even D'Jango

    Best 4090?

I'm avoiding Gigabyte from now on due to horrible RMA experiences with them. I haven't owned anything MSI since 775 and I haven't owned anything Zotac since the GTX 500 series so idk for them. Zotac has a marginally higher power limit (+15W) than the MSI. If you're going run them on HWBOT it might be worth an extra $50 but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  11. how are you checking/changing ownership? Windows is dumb, sometimes giving ownership to the drive doesn't give ownership to the partition. right click on the partition in disk management -> properties -> security -> advanced -> add yourself as the owner there. if you already are, remove yourself and then re-add.
  12. end the explorer.exe process before starting the benchmark too for a few extra points. doesn't make a huge difference in CB but does in Super Pi.
  13. hey @iamjanco, can you measure my 4090 please
  14. wanted hotswap bays but my P400S doesn't have 5.25 drive bays should have bought a rack and moved my server to that but this was cheaper
  15. anyone want to bet on the ending sale price? D'Jango buys the winner a 4090 Ti broke boi
  16. oof, I had it in my head you were making a post bit for users, not a global site widget but that works for me. you spelled "The Pook" wrong though
  17. let your insurance know that the other driver's insurance is refusing you a rental (assuming they already know you're not at fault). Your insurance (should) offer to pay for the rental and then fight the other company to get reimbursed. I was a rep and an adjuster for a few years, a good portion of rentals ended up being worked out that way. let the insurance companies do the work, it's what you pay for
  18. maybe you should move Antarctica doesn't have any cars
