  1. but we both know it wasn't from that
  2. ... is that flavor new? I'm not a huge fan of Monster so I never pay attention but orange dreamscile anything =
  3. only thing on the horizon I'm looking forward to is Starfield. there's still no release date set after the initial delay though
  4. my N3450/4GB laptop is an absolute dog so trying out LTSC (2021) to see if it makes it bearable. If it's still awful then methinks it's time to go laptop shopping. tried it out for a few seconds and it seemed marginally better. but then I decided to update and it's been going at it for 420 days. really wish Framework had AMD options, I don't need a dGPU but something better than Intel IGP would be nice.
  5. very few consumers board with >1 EPS connector need both. the VIII Hero isn't one of them, it'd work fine with just one if your PSU is multi-rail and the EPS connectors are on separate rails then maybe it'd help with balancing but beyond that (or sub-ambient CPU OCing >400W) there's no need.
  6. You can save the result in Benchmate and just upload the file to HWBOT and it'll automagically fill everything out and attach the screenshot. I have to do that on W7/W8 for most of the benchmarks since I usually get a HTTPS error when I try. W10 usually works but I never submitted many single thread CB runs. Make a bench OS. XP/Vista/7/8 all get better 2D clocks than 10/11. Otherwise just minimizing the CB window while rendering can help but it's a PITA to do if you're running real-time priority.
  7. it's an issue with HWBOT, it happens to me sometimes to. you can submit the same result a few times and change nothing and then it'll eventually go through. I always leave the page and go back to submit and refill out the form and it'll eventually go though, usually doesn't take more than 2-3 attempts. Or you can try this: error trying to submit results of pcmark10 - HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestions - HWBOT Community Forums COMMUNITY.HWBOT.ORG I keep getting an error while trying to submit my validation file - This : ( Validation error: A valid futuremark compare url is required if want to reach the PCMark10 Express Hall Of fame. As only 3 benchmark scores are better than you, you need to provide additional verification. ) The url is c...
  8. are you able to boot into Windows? Settings -> Update & Security -> Recovery -> "Restart Now" under Advanced Startup when it reboots: Troubleshoot -> Advanced Options -> UEFI Firmware
  9. Recommended way to enter BIOS - ideapad - Lenovo Support US PCSUPPORT.LENOVO.COM ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  10. I have been defeated, UEFI + W7 isn't meant to be. Even bought a FlashBoot license for $29 to do it automagically for me and it didn't work but good news: only tried out Super Pi 1M but I'm ~100ms faster at the same clocks as 8.1. Gained a whole 1 position and 0.2 points. Might go through all the CPU tests again on my 10900K but I'm not super motivated to spend a few hours on ~1-2 points. time to look for some cheap LGA 1200 CPUs
  11. maybe a bit pre-emptive on being the smartest man alive decided I did want to try to get W7 working under UEFI rather than CSM but I'm not having any success. this is the farthest I got last night, it works only to the extent that my IGP "works" while booting the installation media but it still fails at the same spot (just hangs on the W7 logo before the installation menu appears): Going to try slipstreaming KB5017361 later today via DISM++ but if that doesn't work then I'm out of ideas
  12. you should. sometimes in patch notes it'll say that you can't downgrade once updating but I don't see anything specifically mentioned.
  13. SATA = working NVME = working USB = working NIC = working Audio = no but idgaf IGP = also no apparently the IGP issue is cus my motherboard doesn't let you use both a PEG and IGP at the same time in CSM, only UEFI. there's a fix you can do before you install but a) I don't really need my IGP/2nd monitor in a bench OS and b) me lazy
  14. not what I meant, I meant are you able to disable HT on a single core like on 10th/11th. if I wanted a HT on 9 cores and not on my 10th I could run 19 threads on my 10900K. E-Cores have IPC on par closer to a 7700K than an Atom (der8auer did a test on a 12900K a while back) so I'd assume a gigachad E-Core > HT thread on a P-Core. edit: aka, disable HT on 3 of the P-Cores and keep 16 E-Cores, maybe better than 8x2 + 13?
  15. can you disable HT per core on 12/13th gen like 10/11th? based on zero evidence I'd assume 1 E-Core > 1 HT P-thread
