  1. holy crap.. I've barely crossed 30 million total... and for this team I'm coming up on 4 million... but then, I don't have the best hardware for folding... mediocrity at best really...
  2. This may be useless as mine is a factory OC card, and I have power limit maxed, but I'm seeing around 1.2m ppd... for reference operating frequency of the card is around 2100mhz while folding most of the time (2077 at this moment)... some jobs cause it to drop for whatever reason even with power headroom. I have not manually overclocked this card for folding, that is it's default speeds... if I push it to the limit, I can get and impressive 50 more mhz out of it lol
  3. I tend to agree with the angry mob here, not one of them, but still I see their point... 1. If the first reviews are unfairly skewed in a companies favor due to pressure from the company, it will create a false sense of "awesomeness" around whatever new hardware is being released... and it can take hundreds of fair reviews before that initial opinion formed can be dampened... and of coarse the fanboys will never lose the false review based love of the new product... those of us in the know, know better than to believe the day one reviews and also know to read/watch many reviews before forming an opinion... 2. Reviewers may actually skew the other way out of fear of being accused of being shills or "toting the line" thus making products look less interesting than they actually are... this happened with AMD once that I remember, but for a slightly different reason. While I'm not a part of the angry mob, I can see their reason for being so angry, especially those with livelihood based on reviewing hardware that they now have to be concerned over people assuming that they've been bought out.
  4. It's an unfortunate reality that nearly all companies engage in shady business... just some get to the point Nvidia and Intel did where the make the mistake of saying the quiet part out loud... but as stated above... fan boys combined with the lack of competition that was there for years kept them making billions so they didn't care... let's see how that works out now that AMD is actually a contender, and more interesting to me is, how will AMD react.
  5. I was just watching Linus's video on it... I can and can't believe they would do this. It's a horrible move and proving to be very unpopular... sad thing really as they do make some great hardware... and they are going to kill it with this bad PR... thanks for sharing.
  6. thanks ?. I like the landing page here... it's like a breath of fresh air having that layout... love reading the latest posts and news without having to hunt it down. Good job here.
  7. In as minotaurtoo. may need a reminder though... but I often use my pc for heat in this room this time of year by folding... so this is perfect timing.
  8. Well I gave up on OCN getting it together and now I'm here... CptAsian recommended this site to me... I'll be lurking around for a while before getting active to get the feel of the place, but it looks vaguely familiar here ?.
