  1. I'm in! Thanks for doing these giveaways, this is a great partnership.
  2. Aha, seems quite interesting. I imagine there's more of a benefit performance-wise to upgrading a CPU and staying on the same board rather than vice-versa, unless you're seeking a specific mobo feature. But still, interesting.
  3. Self ban because I forgot to put sugar in my coffee before leaving this morning
  4. F1 race was Unrelated, interesting article: https://sportscar365.com/lemans/wec/...r-lamborghini/ Also unrelated, Stadium Super Trucks are friggin' sick.
  5. Interesting coincidence. Also, apparently Runescape will never die. Just got this email. Did someone say mobile game trend?
  6. Interesting, I hadn't heard about AGESA before, TIL. Probably a silly question, but does this mean it'll roll out for all generations of Ryzen? Still rockin' my 1600X.
  7. I played NV first, but it was already too dated for me. Part of that is me though, since I tend to really value visuals in games more than I probably should. Keeps me away from some really popular classics, such as New Vegas, which feels like a bit of a shame. That whole sort of situation isn't new. The same thing happened rather famously (to me) in World of Tanks a few years back, or at least it started a few years back. Not sure if it's still ongoing. Basically on the SEA/Chinese server, Wargaming was selling a special gold version of the Type 59 (a Chinese tank) with engravings on it and whatnot, looks really fancy and bling-y. The base Type 59 is already a rare premium tank, and the gold version is/was super expensive, can't remember the numbers. But the gimmick was in game, it made double credits on top of the bonus premium tank credit payout. More often than not, I've heard, players that load in game with that tank are teamkilled instantly. Bit of a mess.
  8. I don't think I'm what most would consider an actual Fallout fan, or even player, either. I played through New Vegas, but just never really got into it. Maybe I found the graphics and gameplay really clunky and outdated. Something like that. But I really enjoyed FO4, played through it a couple or three times. Gunplay feels really solid, and while it's not the best RPG, a game of that style was really enjoyable to me. I still load it up from time to time. I get my true RPG fix from Skyrim and Dragon Age.
  9. F1 Mexican GP qualifying was actually great since the top 6 were so close. Also watched the MotoGP race last night with some friends from the FSAE team. Second MotoGP race I've watched live and in length. Those guys are nuts; certainly very entertaining to watch even when you don't know the teams and drivers super well. Excited for the F1 race today as well, the top 6 should be interesting once again. Also the 4 Hours of Portimao is live for another two hours:
  10. Finally caught up on the podcasts, and I'm really enjoying them. Sound like lots of fun to record!
  11. ACC 1.1 is out with some new content. https://steamcommunity.com/games/805550/announcements/detail/1573371450626181188
  12. I'm glad this turned out about as well as we all hoped. https://www.forbes.com/sites/paultassi/2019/10/24/fallout-76s-premium-private-servers-are-not-private-its-scrap-box-is-deleting-scrap/#4a4120607386
  13. "Remember that time..." grainy mariachi violent wheeze laugh god we love chris
  14. Not to turn this into a mouse thread, but I have tried other mice (granted, only two for a somewhat extended period of time each), but I keep coming back to Logitech. Other two I've tried are the Roccat Tyon, which has hardware-based mouse acceleration that you can't disable as far as I'm aware, which is a shame because I really enjoy it otherwise, and the Corsair Ironclaw, which I absolutely loved until the scroll wheel broke after I owned it for a month. If anyone has recommendations for a mouse for $100 or less that has four thumb buttons and is preferably wireless, I'm more than open to suggestions.
  15. Yeah, I'm getting some GTA vibes as well. The other thing is this car has horizontal grille slats rather than vertical, which I can't remember any other BMW having (though I'm sure there are a few, but probably not recent ones). I think that's part of why it looks so off. I think this is the M3 that looks the most wildly different from the base 3 series, and I don't think I'm a fan of that concept, let alone how the car looks. And the rear of it is the part that I wish changed - I still can't help but think of a Lexus every time I see one. At least they're sticking with the quad exhaust. It's something.
  16. This is true, I wasn't considering the original cost of the game. Once you do, it's pretty absurd.
  17. https://g20.bimmerpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1663044
  18. Well this is certainly a thing that's happening: Whip out those VPNs, if you're so inclined. I guess.
  19. That's not the worst pricing I've ever seen, but it certainly isn't the best. I really wonder how many concurrent players FO76 has, how many are actually interested in this, and how many will actually pay for it. I never hear anyone talking about the game anymore, and my giant Fallout fan of a friend only hung on to it for a couple of months after it came out, then has been playing it sporadically and rarely since. I feel a bit bad for his sake, but at the same time, I never minded seeing the game flop. I don't think it was ever destined to get far, given the concept of the game from the start.
  20. I've never tried a Logitech mech board; the styling and non-standard switches have mostly turned me away. Only Logitech board I've used is a K120, the true classic membrane. Big fan of Logitech mice though, used (until they died) a 500, 600, 700S, and currently own and use a 502, 602, and 900. In other news though, my Tab90 came back from RMA last weekend, using it at work again. Absolutely love it. Not sure why it feels better than my WASD Code with the same MX Clear switches, but I think it sounds a bit better too and the layout is perfect. My favorite board I've ever used by far.
  21. Yeah, I was made aware of one of the 3 months for $10 deals a couple weeks ago, but I won't have time until December, so I thought I'd wait for the next promotion, which I was told is usually around the holidays anyways. Thanks for the other info though, that's quite inviting.
  22. Yeah, the benefits of VR are most obvious in LMP1 cars where you have more area of blind spots than not. They go from being extremely difficult to drive, even in triple screen, to very natural and cozy feeling. Those are very fun cars. Somewhat related, I'm seriously considering upgrading my sim gear and trying out iRacing next time there's a new member promotion. That'd probably be around Black Friday (fingers crossed for some good Fanatec deals) and/or December.
