  1. Vermintide 2 double xp weekend is on, so I'm getting my last character up to 30 for the last couple of achievements for the game. Skyrim bug bit me about a week ago, so I'm playing the Special Edition for the first time. Modded, of course. Other than that, I've been doing a lot of iRacing. Been really enjoying that.
  2. Just ordered one of these. Hot-swappable switches and RGB for $60. Two features I'm interested in at the moment for a really nice price. Based on the bit of reading I've done, it seems like decent quality too. Hopefully it holds up. https://drop.com/buy/womier-k66-v2-hotswap-acrylic-rgb-mechanical-keyboard
  3. Yeah, after hitting C, I've come to realize it is indeed pretty easy. Just do a few longer races and keep it clean, and you're there. I got 0.63 SR from my last IMSA race. I'm wondering if I should do a few Le Mans races or something and just go ahead and hit A, then stick to D and C class series for the rest of the season. Met a couple guys like that too, one used to be on our FSAE team. Said iRacing as a whole was a garbage game because of the safety rating system, and that it was impossible to get out of rookies because everyone keeps crashing into you. He was one of "those guys" so I could already tell that wasn't entirely true, and when I actually started iRacing it was clear he was just driving completely incorrectly.
  4. Been trying really hard to get some races done in iRacing semi-regularly. 22 races on my account so far, and I'm having a good time. Hit a B license tonight, making that two mid-season promotions this season. I've also been playing with liveries some. Just keeping it basic, as in using the preset layouts from the provided templates in PS and then recoloring them and adding sponsor logos. I'm pretty happy with the way they're been turning out though.
  5. Yeah I've actually been watching most everything that's been streamed on iRacing, mostly NASCAR and Indy, and I've watched very little F1 stuff because there aren't many current drivers participating, at least not compared to other series, and I just really don't like the Codemasters F1 games. They look and feel very artificial compared to AC and iRacing. It's really nice to see so many actual, current drivers participating in other series though.
  6. Anyone been watching the officially broadcasted simracing replacement races? I've enjoyed most of the ones I've seen.
  7. This may not be completely accurate, but historically I've seen more powerful cards tend to get bigger (higher point award) WUs.
  8. Banned for trying to create a rift in your own community.
  9. They style is interesting, but I think I like it. Very modern look. I haven't thought about touch screens on a game controller before, but I'm curious about how that could be implemented in such a way that it would flow well with the rest of the game. Granted, I'm a bit out of the loop on that front since I haven't really played any AAA console titles with a current gen controller for years.
  10. Just a heads up @ENTERPRISE , your team ID has a typo in the OP. Thanks for setting this up!
  11. Congrats to all of the winners and thanks for the giveaway!
  12. I've got 'em hooked up to an Onkyo TX-8210. Hand-me-down from my father.
  13. Indeed you should have, sushi is always photo-worthy.
  14. Is that server just for cruising around? I've wanted to try out LA Canyons for some time, seems like this is a good opportunity. I'll let you know if I pick it up and try it out, thanks for sharing the server. Yeah it is. The entire course is something like 117km/73 miles so it's currently the longest one available and the developers are still adding a lot more to it. It does "only" have up to 60 slots but my server is using all of them. The track set is LAC Freeroam - VIP and the car list is: Alfa 4C x3 Alfa Guilia Quadrifoglio x3 BMW M4 x3 BMW Z4 x3 Corvette C4 ZR-1 x3 Ferrari 458 Italia Stage 3 x3 Ferrari LaFerrari x1 Ford Mustang 2015 x3 Honda NSX-R x3 KTM X-Bow R x3 Lamborghini Gallardo SL x3 Lamborghini Huracan Performante x3 Mazda MX5 ND x3 McLaren P1 x1 Nissan 370Z Nismo x3 Pagani Huayra BC x3 Pagani Zonda R x3 Porsche Panamera Turbo x3 RUF CTR Yellowbird x3 RUF RT12 R x3 Toyota AE86 Tuned x3 Toyota GT86 x3 The server is set to run for 4 days and 3 hours before it resets. I'm not actually sure if I'll leave it running for this long though. Don't think I'll be available to run my sim until Sunday night or Monday, so that's me out of that window. I'll let you know if I'm up for it afterwards though, depending on what you do with the server.
  15. Interesting. What with people staying at home, I think we're seeing a lot more internet traffic across the board. Probably won't have any lasting effects since it's not too drastic, at least not yet, but it's something to think about for similar future events.

  17. Not really into speakers personally (not yet, at least), but I just wanted to say, I picked up a pair of Polk R50s on sale last Black Friday, $60 each I think. Been using them more recently given current world events, and they're really nice, especially for the price. When I bought them, reviews basically said for $130 each, they're really good and I got them for less than half that. Absolute steal, it seems.
  18. I saw that, and it seems like a lot more people are into simracing as a result of the race cancellations. iRacing player numbers are noticeably up right now, which is nice to see.
  19. Been doing some more iRacing now that I have time. First three races in the Skippies were rough, due to getting involved in wrecks that weren't my fault. Fourth and fifth races have been really nice though. Qualified in the top 10 and moved up a few places as well, with some decent accident avoidance. They're really weird cars to drive because of how much you just slide and understeer and I kind of hate them because of that, but the nature of the racing and wheel-to-wheel action is great. Unrelated, I tried BeamNG Drive with a wheel and FFB for the first time yesterday, and it's an absolute blast. Highly recommend.
