  11. Welcome to EHW ! Glad to have you here.
  12. Banned because all you fools be talking Sharks when it is clearly about snakes.
  13. Good find, but short lived as it arrived FUBAR, so it is going back for a refund. Gouge out of the top and likely thermal paste on the contacts...thermal paste no big deal, but bugger the gouge. So likely will go for something a little faster while only 10Watts extra, the Intel® Xeon® Processor E3-1240L v3
  14. I didn't either. I only spotted it after looking at the full list of CPU's my mobo will support. Sometimes that is a good way to spot unknown CPU's apparently
  15. So I purchased a few upgrades for this Pfense/Opensense rig. Decided to go with a lower power consumption CPU, the Core i7 4875T. Pairing it with 8GB DDR3 and a Noctua NH-L9X65 cooler. Will get it together soon.
  16. Out of interest, are you going to be rocking any Opteron rigs ? They were 939 right ?
  17. But you could have two and have some quadfire action ! Not that it would do you much good these days!
  18. Yeah it is a load of crap to be honest. Rather than address it and fix it, they just change some parameters. That is NOT a fix to what clearly looks to be a hardware design fault.
  19. Let me be a part of your special club! EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra Hybrid Gaming. Flashed with the Kingpin 520 Watt BIOS (With ReBAR) 24G-P5-3988-KR Hybrid cooler removed for proper WC with the EKWB Vector FTW3 block. Purchased 22/01/21
  20. I think there are two factors 1. Early DDR5 tech 2. Immature DDR5 memory controller on the CPU. Or because its a hybrid memory controller allowing for support of DDR4 as well meaning it gimps DDR5 full potential ?
  21. Ha that is cool, not so cool I would buy one...but cool nonetheless.
  22. I enjoy lots of the Gamers Nexus coverage to be honest. Their coverage of this particular issue I thought was handled well. It is bad that the issue exists but worse that Gigabyte and Newegg are being somewhat shady. Newegg obviously know these units were suspect but push them out anyway. Gigabyte is bad for not forcing a recall from Newegg.
