I have not fully decided on testing parameters just yet but if I were to test multiple scenarios, it would be bare PCB and Aftermarket. Some of them are for sure and some of the less "Crazy" coolers are still sufficient. However until a time where running temps of newer gen drives can be tempered by other means, the need for more extravagant coolers will grow. Just imagine Gen 6 and 7 lol. Thanks for the suggestion, I did see that one but wondered if it would interfere with a cooling fan I have aimed at my RAM. My M.2 slot for Gen 5 speeds is next to my RAM.

Hey guys, So I will soon be undertaking a review of Corsairs new MP700 SE Pro. Source However on this occasion the NVMe in question does not come with a heatsink solution and will be a bare PCB. I could use the motherboard integrated heatsink, but where is the fun in that! So I am in the market of looking for a cooler to be used in the review. Source Interesting take. I must say that I can at least agree with RDNA 4 comments. I do believe that AMD are sticking to GDDR6 for RDNA 4 which is a clear cost saving measure but could also be seen as a lack of confidence in the GPU line to push for the use of newer technologies. Do I think AMD will leave the gaming segment, no. But I do believe they could just keep their focus on the midrange and leave high end/halo specifically for prosumer/machine learning.

Yeah, well I know I will be steering away from EK, not just from a concern on quality, but I cannot support a business that has a culture of treating people the way they have. The same goes moving forward for any of our prizing and reviews, we will no longer be making contact with EK for either, unless they have seriously mended their ways and even then I am still unsure about it.

Great coverage as usual. I have to say, EK is a real mess for all sorts of reasons. It really shows that the culture is entirely screwed up.

Hello all, I just wanted to take a moment to Thank You All for the work you have put into the community, whether this be from a staff or user level. Without your help and continued dedication to the site, we would not be where we are now. We still have some growing to do, no doubt, but I personally enjoy coming on here daily and checking to see what's new, or just following continued discussions. Discussion forums have a hard time of it these days with the growth of social media services but it is my firm opinion that forums/sites are still THE staple of quality information on the internet. We have an excellent group of people here and I feel sometimes I do not thank you all enough and I wanted to assure you that all your efforts on a daily basis is noticed. I am proud of all that you have accomplished here on ExtremeHW and I am certainly looking forward to seeing what the future brings for both our forums and our reviews. As always, spread the word, bring your family and friends here, don't be selfish and keep it all to yourselves I also wanted to throw out an additional thank you to all those who have purchased a premium account, donate to the site and purchase from our merch store. All I will say is that they launched the product at a time where economically speaking, people are in a worse position financially, at least here in the UK. Granted I consider this product a Halo product based on the price and this was already priced out of reach from most BUT financially we are worse off and I would not be surprised if that was another factor. Plus I still find Apple a more and more niche market as the years go on. With Apple overall not having the same appeal as they used to, some of the customers they once had that would have jumped on this, have since moved on. So in my opinion they have a smaller market to capitalize on. Just my view on it.

For budget reasons I have purchased with a couple of family members TCL units, I cannot recall the model numbers but for the price I was very impressed with the build quality, I/O and the OS layout and functionality (Google). For that reason I purchased a new TV yesterday to replace a dying one I have had to put up with for a while. Going from prior experience and the positive reviews, I picked up the TCL C805 50" for £569. After using the TCL units, I quickly had to ask what the bugger names offered, such as Samsung and Sony, and frankly they offered nothing above and beyond from the TCL units and the TCL units are kinder on the wallet.

Definitely. There are other companies out there that have been around for a good long time, generally speaking not the same large product range but a competitor to EK all the same. Fortunately we have a decent selection of companies to choose from even if EK went the way of the dodo. I have thus far not really had many quality issues with EK but hear about the downhill quality problems from others. My only issue was with a recent CPU Block purchase whereby the nickel plating had left blockages on the cold plate. It eas easily rectified...but that is not the point. I have not owned a single Corsair WC product so cannot comment on how good they are but so far as their product range, they have come on leaps and bounds.

For some, for sure, but for those who need a product and are only interested in getting what they need, EK will still have plenty of buyers.
