  1. Thanks for the update. I assume all is ok if you were to switch to "Simple" again?
  2. Are you going to flatten off the existing copper coldplate on your fab cooler assembly so the new shim has full contact ?
  3. I have just installed a new version which addresses some of the truncation issue, again I can see all the latest colums and I cannot replicate a situation where they are missing.
  4. Odd, I will wait for further feedback from others to see what the consensus is. Im also looking into why the latest version seems to be truncating the topic titles again.
  5. Hey all, So yesterday evening my trusty Creative SX-FI Theatre headset has died, so it is time to shop for something new. Generally I am open to any recommendations but on this occasion I would love some options that have interchangeable batteries, just for the sake of the longevity of the product. I have looked at following so far: ARCTIS NOVA PRO WIRELESS FOR XBOX & PC Turtle Beach Stealth Pro Headset Corsair HS80 Wireless (Batteries can be changes out by user with disassembly) Both seems to have a decent feature set and generally what I am looking for and have the interchangeable batteries. The headset options are fairly endless and while I can read reviews, it would be nice to get some suggestions from you guys:) Cost, well of course I would rather not spend a fortune, but if the product is right, then it is what it is and I will pop some cash aside for it and use an old pair in the meantime. Thanks, E
  6. This should now be fixed, I have just tested and everything now shows up for me as expected in Incognito, logged in or out.
  7. No problems, I will speak to the dev for further diagnosis.
  8. Possibly, but other than bug checking im closing this off as I feel we have met people's needs as much as is required
  9. I installed a new version of the plugin around 8 hours ago, so I would expect this to be sorted. I will run some tests shortly.
  10. **Update** This was a configuration issue, this has now been resolved and should no longer be an issue
  11. Thanks, will bring this up with the dev, we made a few changes in this area so a recent change is likely the culprit.
  12. Update, it is my hopes to be able to re-enabled the Marketplace shortly, thanks to our dev. After speaking with our dev, he will be able to maintain any plugins that we utilize that become unsupported due to a lack of updates from the original developer. This is excellent news as we will be able to keep the functionality we have moving forward
  13. Hey guys, Update on this. As I thought, catering to varying different device types/resolutions is going to be difficult. IPS (Forum platform) has its own set of display classes (like all sites) for how content is displayed depending on device type/res and these are the rules the latest widget is adhering to. Now, even if we could override this sort of behaviour, I am not keen on it. IPS has its own set of display classes based on "Current" best practice based on resolutions and device type. For the sake of ensuring the best experience for the majority, it is best that this is left alone and I allow IPS to dictate any changes moving forward in this area as they have the best knowledge over device demographics and what is best for content displaying on their platform. HOWEVER. I understand that the more "Comprehensive" look that we have now is either not preferred by some, or may not display as nicely on certain display types. So I have worked with the dev to create an option for users to select which type of the latest widget is loaded. From Settings>Theme Settings You now have the option to choose between "Simple" & "Comprehensive". It is worth noting that the "Simple" view is how the latest widget used to look prior to us making changes. I feel this is the most sensible compromise we can offer with respect to catering for different display types and users general preference. Many thanks, E
  14. Hey guys, So I looked into this again with the dev and it was identified before that it was how the site caching was being handled by Cloudflare, unfortunately last time we tried to resolve the issues, it was no possible at the time. I am going to revisit this again with our server guy to see if we can re-investigate this with a view to adjusting the spacing. I cannot promise this will be 100% resolved as we might like. Thanks, E
  15. Hello all, I am wanting to put a Tutorial section together with "How To's" for the PC. I have some topic examples as shown below, this is not an exhaustive list by any means and we can have anything from beginner to expert level content. Why am I looking to do this? As a tech community, I feel that we should have a Tutorial section for members to access at their leisure, but this will also be useful content to refer a user to who comes seeking advice on any given topic. It is in our best interest to house Tutorial content, rather than pointing people out to the wider internet, this helps us keep our community bubble rich in best of breed content and will help to grow the community by making EHW an attractive resource overall. Furthermore, this type of content helps to bolster our position on search engines and in general can help us leverage SEO further, but that is more of a secondary bonus overall. I am looking for help with this one in writing these up. I know we have talented writers here, so if you have any ideas and would like to run with it (or would like to run with an idea already listed), let me know here or in a PM and I will mark you against the topic. I am currently working on a dedicated FAQ section for the site where we will host this content, as we will keep it separate from the general forums. However that does not mean we cannot make a head start on the content! I have come up with the below ideas off the top of my head, but please pop some suggestions here! Tutorial Topic list Examples. - How to reset CMOS. - BIOS flashback, what is it and how can I do it? - Best practice for Nvidia GPU Overclocks & stability testing. - Using NVCleanstall to debloat Nvidia driver installers. @Mr. Fox - Best practice for AMD GPU Overclocks & stability testing. - Best practice for Intel CPU Overclocks & stability testing. - Best practice for AMD CPU Overclocks & stability testing. - Best practice for RAM Overclocks & stability testing. - Overclockers Arsenal - Must have software/utilities for overlockers. @Mr. Fox - Ensuring XMP/EXPO Is enabled for best out of box RAM performance. - How to best diagnose a BSOD (Who Crashed). - How to do a fresh install of GPU drivers (DDU). - What services are safe to disable in Windows to free up resources? @Mr. Fox - Slipstreaming a Windows image to remove bloatware (Nlite or similar). - Setting a preferred DNS in Windows/Linux. - Create a BAT script for mounting network drives on Windows boot. - How to diagnose system lag & audio stutters (LatencyMon). - Utilities for tweaking Windows (Winaero Tweaker or similar). @Mr. Fox - Reducing system latency (Optimizing interrupt signalling & Windows). - Taking control of Windows Update. @Mr. Fox - Tweaking for Performance vs. Security, Disaster Preparedness using Drive Images (Macrium Reflect) @Mr. Fox - Hosting multiple operating systems on one machine. @Mr. Fox - HWBOT Tweaks for better scores. - F@H PPD Efficiency Tweaking. - Motherboard/GPU Prep for Sub-ambient overclocking. - System Tuning For Gaming @GanjaSMK Many thanks, E
  16. Hello all, Apologies for the inconvenience but unfortunately the Marketplace is no longer available. The marketplace is developed by a 3rd party developer that was an "off the shelf product" (not specifically for just EHW). Unfortunately since IPS decided to close the plugin marketplace that was a one stop resource for community owners to get plugins and applications, it has made life harder on verifying plugin version compatibility & integrity with updated versions of the IPS platform software and you do not know if something is incompatible upon upgrading, by which point it is too late. It is now a very manual task to get the latest versions of each plugin While most of the plugin developers have their own websites (in light of the IPS Marketplace closure) now and I have access to the latest versions of most items, the Marketplace plugin has lagged behind in development and has now fallen out of being "Supported" due to a difference in PHP levels. I have made contact with the dev to see if we can get a new version sorted, not just for us but for anyone also using this resource. It is possible that we will also have to temporarily disable the following site features in the future: Discord Integration Tags (Used for the news section) Again, this is down to plugin developers becoming unavailable. Now, within reason it is likely that we can replace the above mentioned plugins with a like for like, specifically developed for EHW moving forward by my dev contact. So it is not my goal to lose the noted functionality permanently, but there may be an interim period where we will have to be patient. Thanks for your understanding. E
  17. Unsure if this is a bug or a config issue. However unfortunately the developer of the Marketplace is no longer available and is no longer compatible with the forum platform software, so I have had to disable it completely. So until further notice the Marketplace is closed. I have made contact with the developer and will wait to hear back from them. Also please see:
  18. Thanks guys, let me look into this again with my theme dev and I will point out your findings @iamjanco Thanks E
  19. Thanks guys for the reports and information. I will look into this to see how this can be remedied
  20. Yes, this is something I noticed a long while back and it was investigated and there was an issue that made it difficult to fix, I cannot recall what it was specifically, but it is one my list to revisit
  21. What is the end goal here? Other than setting up a Wifi profile via command.
  22. The poll was originally for whether or not we removed the Date/Time. Granted this topic evolved somewhat based on feedback and my general agreement with the ideas and different changes have been implemented. As I say, I wont be able to please all. it may be possible to have a theme switch to allow you to have the "Simpler" old version back, but this would be a consideration for the future.
  23. Thanks, I will make that as a suggestion to the Dev if it makes the layout easier to work with when trying to accommodate for the varying resolutions of devices. I have written up the adjustments list for the dev and will send to him tomorrow. Note that there will only be so much we can cater to and alas, I won't be able to make it look spectacular on all devices, nature of the beast when you have a tonne of different devices being used on the site
  24. Thanks guys, Will take a look at those alternate resolutions and see if anything can be done to improve the experience, but no promises.
