  1. It is a good question. Ultimately it will completely depend on what a user or an Admin such as myself is trying to achieve. The video section is great for curating a certain type of video in one place, for instance the EHW Podcasts or other EHW related video material whether it be streams or pre-recorded content. Then of course if you are looking to tie and overall conversation to a video, then yes it makes more sense to create a thread centered on that video. It all comes down to use scenario, each have their advantage and disadvantages. I guess it just offers up more choice. That being said, I can configure it so that if a video is loaded, it auto creates a topic, this could be useful in the future.
  2. Have to say the gold fittings against the white looks great
  3. Have you tried here ? https://forums.extremehw.net/forum/81-site-suggestions/
  4. Me too, can't wait to bring back the features we had on the first iteration of EHW
  5. While that would be awesome, I am afraid that would not be right for a few reasons while of course some of us here have another forum in common...we are different ? Hell if we were working on the premise of carrying over stats...that would certainly boost me up haha.
  6. Yeah, I would likely go with one with more mounting points simply due to the nature of the wall I would be attaching it too. Thanks for letting me know though, I did not realize these existed !
  7. Oh gosh darn it....NOT AGAIN ! Ban for making me do more work
  8. I will look at creating Video news section so to speak and see if I can get the current API to grab the latest submitted video news to the homepage. Leave it with me lol. As for thread title length on the homepage, I feel it is not too bad. What we are trying to achieve is best fit for the current popular resolutions. That being said, we could possibly make the Latest News/Posts/Podcasts section a little wider. Not a fan of sacrificing font size in order to get more of the title on so I think width adjustment is the only way. Pleased to hear this, we will be doing a lot more with this platform soon and in the future, so watch this space. Don't worry, we are taking a different direction to said forum lol.
  9. LMAO. Yeah I mean I guess that would go without saying. "You may be offended by the following content"...that could be anything from swearing...to watching someone use an Apple Mac ?
  10. Hmmm I seem to be having trouble visualizing that but I assume that the two rear holes are the wall mounting points ? I could hang it low level ? The walls in my office are plasterboard so I would get some proper anchor mounts for this sort of thing.
  11. Welcome bud, Glad you like what you see, there is A LOT more to come with regards to user experience enhancements and site capabilities so watch this space haha. We have the capability to stream to the homepage as well as embed videos with respect to the forum homepage carousel from the video section. Are you meaning so that recently posted videos shows up in the "Latest Posts" section on the main homepage as per extremehw.net ?
  12. Every good forum has an F@H Team lets face it ?
  13. Cheers guys. We are now in, but not 100% as we are decorating. My office is in its "Build" stage with decorating and getting the conduit nonsense as well as the broadband socket up into the office as it will act as the main hub for the house media as well as my workspace. Then after getting settled in, need to find a space in there for the CFP lol. Not a huge room but may get something figured out.
  14. Looks like I will have to press F for you soon and pay those respects...don't mess with the bird dude.
  15. Actually a nice explanation of how RTX works, better than some of those over complicated ones that leave people scratching their heads. I can see why on the consoles (with a much more limited hardware budget) will struggle and basically have to drop certain game elements in order to even produce an RTX based reflection.
  16. Welcome to the site bud ! Glad to have you here with us and good to hear you have been bitten by the bug it sounds like. Henlo ? Losing it again @Andrew ?
  17. True, assuming you are on the green team, you may well have a smoother ride of it. Out of interest what system do you have ? Just wondering with respect to the performance you are getting
  18. Bummer if I was not so busy and have noticed this, I could have streamed this to the home page of the forums ? (Yes we can do that now)
  19. I have yet to really play with it, not got the time right now but from what I have read it is a handy piece of software. I think this could possibly help with lowering the amount of voltage needed while retaining an OC. I myself have been rocking a per CCX overclock on my X570 Asrock Aqua for a good while now on my 3950X: 4500/4450/4400/4300 @1.3v currently. Any lower and I start seeing issues.
  20. I love it, it is nice to continue to see AMD pushing Intel back, competition will hopefully keep up the growth of newer technologies while keeping prices relatively sane. Will be interesting to see this chart again after Zen 3 has done the rounds for a little while.
  21. I actually think those minimum specs are below what I was expecting for minimum, good to see that initially it looks like this will allow a larger crowd to enjoy this in VR.
