  1. AMD stating 110c is fine is them just covering themselves IMHO. No way would that be a practical running temperature for long term operation, nor can I see that being good for longevity. Personally I think they bungled the ref cooler design and are trying to save face...big time

  3. Uh oh...he is one of them
  4. who dat ? Welcome to EHW Bud
  5. Very sci-fi, but we all know that on a lot of occasions that science fictions becomes science fact. It is all about the imagination.
  6. Nice, will take a look. Free game is a free game !
  7. Nice ! I need to look into some benches for that card. Granted I do not need one but I like to see what the red team are getting up to.
  8. Yeah I think we will be living with that type of fragmentation for a long while

Im one of those that could happily live without it though lol

    hi

I have RGB too ! Friends we shall be. Welcome to EHW mate.
  11. I appreciate the kind words, I am certainly looking forward to the future and developing the site further Nice rig by the way, good CPU and GPU combo, the 1080Ti is more than capable. I loved my 1080Ti when I had it, I ended up going the 2080Ti route later on, granted RT is nice but the 1080Ti is still a card I recommend to those wanting to get into PC gaming. Look forward to seeing you around the forums Cheers, E
  12. I guess you cant have everything right Cheers bud, still some work to do but glad it is going down well.
  13. A nice system for a non builder, but not cheap that is for sure. At least it is showcasing Zen 2 and taking advantage of PCIE 4. Review: Scan 3XS Vengeance RTX Ti Fluid - Systems - HEXUS.net
  14. Nice ! I must live under a rock as I have not heard of this nor the original. Then again its not the usual kind of game I look out for. Looks intriguing though and I can see how you could pour hours and hours into it. May have to give it a whirl.
  15. Hey Simmons ! Welcome to EHW, glad you were able to finally get the username you wanted. Wow nice setup you have going there. Mine is super bog standard but would not mind a screen setup like that. Due to space my desk is small and a little cramped. Once we move it will be time to get a big boy desk lol We still have work to do on the site, not a huge amount but some important elements to come. As always though, it is a continuous development Cheers, E
  16. That sounds reasonable to me. I would imagine that the PS5/Xbox Scarlett would have the power of the RTX 2060, though it would be AMD,s equivalent as both the next gen consoles are confirmed to be sporting AMD's Navi GPU. In order to keep production costs down, I reckon they will not go too high of a spec overall, that being said though, they may choose to shoot for the stars a little this gen. I only say that due to the fact (and as you stated) Sony and MS both launched newer improved versions of the PS4 and Xbox one in order to keep up. We all know the additional R&D to do that will have cost them. So why not give the next console an extra leap of power ? This would at least mean that for each gen of console we go back to 1 version each cycle which frankly is more cost effective and leads to less product fragmentation. Having a generation of consoles with differing specs will not please game developers, so it makes even more sense to stick to one spec set. Ultimately this is why I think the next gen will have a much beefier spec than usual, not quite a gamer PC, but not a million miles away.
  17. A step closer towards Quantum Computing, is this where I should say "Can it play..... Science BREAKTHROUGH: A new state of matter has just been discovered | Science | News | Express.co.uk
  18. Not bad, not to killer on the wallet. I would however like to have seen the chipset using a fully passive design utilizing heatpipe technology over a small fan. Granted it is doubtful it will run all the time, but as we know, those small fans can get louder with age. Fully passive would negate that issue. A small niggle....but a niggle nonetheless. 19. Not surprising, but it does seem that the PS5 will be a good step up from the previous gen. Perhaps this will mean better ports from console to PC. Then again we have been saying that for a fair few generations now and some of the ports are still appauling. PC gamers rejoice: PlayStation 5 won't be as powerful as an Nvidia RTX 2080 | TechRadar
  20. Hello all news posters, There are 2 ways to post news on EHW, we will cover the two options below: Posting news traditionally 1. When posting a news article please be sure to use the news source prefix drop down to select an appropriate news source, if you cannot find the right one then please add the source in your thread title. For this example we will use TechRadar: [TECHRADAR]*Insert Thread Title* Where possible the thread title should be the same as the source article, please do not make up your own as this can alter the context of the article. You can quote a short excerpt of the news source so people can get a preview, but be sure to link the source underneath. See an example below Source Using the ''Post Link" Feature 2. Use the ''Post Link'' feature in the editor, this will insert the news article into the editor with a link to the source for you while quoting some of the news title and allowing you to select an image taken from the article. See the image process to do this below. Clink on the ''Post Link'' button as indicated by the red box, this will open a link insertion field, again as indicated by the red box. Paste your link in here and click ''Add Link'' Your added link will now look like the below, nice right ? From here you can select which thumbnail is displayed using the left and right arrows as indicated as well as edit the quote of the article you want shown by clicking the indicated pencil icon. Lastly, Just add your comment on the new article in the text editor and click on the ''Post'' button and you are done !
  21. Poor Microsoft seem to be really struggling as of late. I remember the days of updating regularly, now you have to wait for the dust to settle so you know its safe. Windows 10 serves up more update pain with a side order of random reboots | TechRadar
  22. Nice, it is true what they say sometimes, less is more. Good air flow with that one
