  1. Wow BUT really am not surprised. Im waiting for my country (UK) to for all VPN providers to log data, at least UK VPN providers they can force this but companies like Nord who are located in Panama, they cannot. However even then, how long till world governments enforce data logging.
  2. True, you could consider the Quadro P620 which is a low profile card of the Same generation and support two simultaneous NVENC streams. https://www.servethehome.com/nvidia-quadro-p620-low-profile-low-power-graphics-card-review/5/
  3. Across the board in all areas, this is am issue. My first hand experience is with media companies buying up internet properties and bastardizing them. It sucks.
  4. I enjoyed it personally but being a fan of TNG, I was excited to see how things panned out for Picard. Ive been mostly happy with it. Not watched season 2 just yet but I know season 3 is bringing the TNG crew back together, for me that is going to be the true tell if they can hold it together.
  5. I will have to keep an eye on this. If anyone captures a great example, please could you create a video of it ? That will help provide an example I can possibly use to demonstrate the issue to all involved.
  6. This is now resolved as the login button has been removed, fingers crossed there will no longer be any confusion
  7. If he gets the 1660, that for sure uses the newer Turing encoder as I owned one up until very recently.
  8. Yeah unless you are into Anime, it will not be immediately obvious what it is.
  9. If my brother was in to PC's, he would so be on this as he loves Evangelion.
  10. If encoding/decoding is of value to you, perhaps get an AMD GPU that has hardware acceleration for these tasks.
  11. Does the GPU support hardware accelerated encoding, read some conversation that eludes to it not supporting it.
  12. Well we ended up getting custom development done in the end, but appreciate the response nonetheless
  13. Surprised not so much. A little disappointed though.
  14. Something is up. They have to be worried about AMD to be going this super power hungry route. I consider myself an enthusiast but im also a consumer that has to pay for products and the electricity bill. This is toeing a line for me. Im no architectural engineering but it seems like they are throwing raw horsepower into this next gen over improved efficiency. Leads me to believe they realised they didn't have adequate time to go the efficiency route due to RDNA3 and its release schedule and Nvidia decided the shortcut was to go balls to the wall to keep the crown. I think this could be another Fermi indeed.
  15. Hmmm but how "Private" will this VPN be though. It begs the question whether or not your better off subscribing to a VPN service like Nord etc. But will they ? What else do they collect beyond diagnostic data. Call me Mr Cautious.
  16. The login button from the review site will be gone Monday and confusion will be a thing of the past
  17. That is awesome man, though I have to say I am a basic man at times and just prefer GUI as I am being lazy lol.
  18. Welcome to EHW! If you are wanting to stay on the AM4 platform and not have bottleneck issues with the next gen GPU's for AMD/Nvidia then I would certainly consider nothing less than an AMD 5000 series CPU. 5600X is good bang for its buck.
  19. Is this still an issue, I am struggling to replicate.
  20. EHW is two sites and was that way from the beginning. You have the product review site and the forums. The product review site does not require a login, so that is why it seems like you have been logged out. The login button will be removed from the review site to avoid confusion.
  21. My thoughts change if this is indeed a new form factor standard that Dell is spearheading, the motives there are very different.
  22. Strange, it worked fine for me. I won't be able to help until im home later. If I recall, you have to install a prerequisite (cannot recall the file) prior to using the utility. I know you can definitely select all duplicates in one click for removal, definitely do not need to go through and click one by one. I would leave it running prior to ending it. I found it doesn't use a huge amount of resources, so telling whether or not it is doing anything via Task Manager may be misleading.
  23. I need to re-download it, however the resource is here : Go to the marked solution This utility does a multitude of duplicate finding, so it is not limited to just images as that thread may suggest.
  24. I have a great utility for this. I will have to have a dig in my software folder and I will upload it. (Free Open-Source software)
