  1. i mean, he has to donate something doesnt he? you cant afford it! we talked about this! i'm in a debate with myself on tubing size again. stay 1/2 OD or go 5/8 OD, one requires the purchase of fittings the other doesnt (unless i decide to go white fittings which would fit the build)
  2. i mean, i went i5 7600K to current rig so.....enough of an upgrade i wont touch it CPU/mobo wise for many years. we all know GPUs are pretty disposable though.... my old i5 2500K is still in service at my parents place as a work computer. they still say its faster than any prebuilt or laptop theyve ever bought. storage makes a difference, i brought them from 5400rpm HDD to SATA III SSD, even taught them to use a spare 7200RPM 1TB HDD i put in with the SSD as file storage.
  3. must've been a very busy man today E
  4. 280 and 360 version of these rads And an O11 Dynamic Mini Snow edition:
  5. Starting a build log here for the evolution of my sig rig Ocean Blue. The NZXT H210i, though a nice case, does not provide adequite radiator space for my build, thus resulting in ~70C ish CPU load temps while gaming or running multiple VMs So far its been parts collection to move into the new case, and yes i know O11 dynamic in itself is becoming a meme case, but i couldnt resist a dynamic mini snow edition. The List (all vendors in brackets for where parts are on order from): Case : O11 Dynamic Mini Snow Edition Watercooling: CPU Block : Optimus Foundation AMD CPU block )Plexi/Ni Finish/White Bracket) (Arrived) GPU Block : Heatkiller IV Nickel Plexi (Arrived) Radiators : Alphacool Nexxos ST30 White Special Edition 280mm and 360mm (Arrived) Reservoir : Heatkiller Tube 150 With Blue Accent Struts and DDC Pump Base (Base On Hand, Waiting For Glass Tube And Struts) Pump : Liang DDC 35X PWM (On Hand) Various Fittings: 16mm Hardline Bitspower White (PPCs) Primochill Loop Prep Kit (Arrived) Primochill Vue Sky Blue SX(Arrived) Fans : 7x Corsair LL120 RGB White, 4x Corsair SP140 RGB white (Arrived) Light Blue Sleeved Cables (On Hand) Components: AMD R9 5950X ASUS Rog Strix B550-I Gaming ITX (On Hand) Kingston FuryX 64GB 3600MHZ (On Hand) RX 5700XT Reference (On Hand) Sabrent Rocket NVMe 500GB (Windows) Sabrent Rocket 2TB (VMs/Schoolwork) Crucial MX500 2TB (Games) Crucial MX300 1TB (Software) Corsair SF750 Platinum Power Supply (On Hand) 2x Corsair Commander Pro ( 1 Owned, Other Arrived) 1x Lighting Node Pro (On Hand) 1x Corsair RGB Strip Kit (Arrived) BUILDERS NOTE: This may take a week or two for everything to arrive, so it will most likely be a rather slow build
  6. these are the voyages of the starship enterprise........
  7. i was in still in beta... many many eons ago when it first began lol
  8. or the "slow down the system" benefit right? lol DRM is annoying, especially EA's "you can only install this game 3 times" BS with thier DRM
  9. i give you the very first ghost recon. where it was so hard to spot enemies you were dead before you found them. but they cant do that anymore, because 10 year olds cant play it.
  10. what does everyone think of the O11 dynamic mini? i know the O11 is overused by now but, the white case looks nice. and id love to get ahold of white Rads to go with it.
  11. looking at the corsair crystal 280X. looks like an interesting concept of a case, lots of radiator space. possibility to mount pump in behind with the PSU and drives.
  12. Responded with PM as requested, look forward to hearing from you Enterprise.
  13. love the 70s faucet. reminds me of my grandmothers house also im pretty sure that should never be in water.
  14. i've never really had an issue with tight spaces if im honest, my current setup is pretty tight in my H210i, i've built WC in cases smaller than this. that tiny bitfenix prodigy case from years ago rings a bell in my head. i'm just not sure if 480mm of rad is going to be good enough for what im using. i also have a 5700XT to contend with, so full length GPU space is a requirement. ill be upgrading gpus when the next generation drops aswell. also those are pretty as hell, but i've never done hardline. and the fittings look like quite the money sink.
  15. WWZ : aftermath - online co-op for both story and horde/challenge mode. up to 4 players in a group. State Of Decay 2 : up to 4 people in one game online co-op open world The Borderlands Series Of Games - two player co-op as far as i remember Garrys Mod - if you like the server full of other people and friends online experience for random fun Gears Of War - i think just about all of them are 2 player online co-op Killing floor 2 - if you like fast pace killing with exploding body parts, can have up to 6 players together at once Move Or Die - if you want a fun game to compete with friends in up to 4 people as far as i know Among Us - if you like the suspence of your friends possibly being out to murder you. up to 8 people Mudrunner/Snowrunner - for challenging vehicle based offroad game with friends, up to 4 people Raft - relaxing poke the shark with your spear game, up to 4 players in co-op Rise Of The Tomb Raider - survival challenge mode is co-op 2 people The Sniper Elite Series of games - 4 people online VS or 2 player story co-op. great challenging shooter games Halo : The Master Chief Collection - cheap way to get online vs multiplayer and 2 person co-op in 6 games, i think the entire set of them is like 20 or 30 bucks) Company Of Heroes 1&2 - online 4 player vs AI or up to 4v4 against other players DayZ : if you feel like playing find-a-friend and dying together in unison Division 2 : 4 player co-op APB Reloaded : online cops vs robbers, GTA online before GTA online existed thats about all i can think of at 3:30am on a tuesday morning. i have others id be willing to play aswell ill play just about any one of these games with you if you need help or want a partner to play with pio. getting bored of playing alone.
  16. i've been rotating through the following: APB Reloaded (yes i know this game should die already, but killing people by letting my car ghost ride over them never gets old) State of Decay 2 (i'm running a long-term survivor group, currently 6 maps cleared working on long-term plans to stay on current map) Halo Master Chief Collection (currently part way through halo 1 in original 2001 graphics mode for nostalgia) Forza Horizon 4 (yes with a wheel and shifter setup, just recently purchased) Deathloop (its an amusing game, but not what i call AAA material, thank god it was a gift) Control Ultimate Edition (attempting full 100% achievement completion, main storyline finished to its end with DLC) Horizon Zero Dawn (interesting combat and storyline, not to mention very pretty graphics wise)) DayZ (both standalone and dayz arma 2 mod, i care less which) if anybody want to join me in the games that are co-op on this list, ill gladly play with you. add my discord. if you need it because it unlisted from my profile on here again, DM me.
  17. So, a while ago after my 5950X upgrade, i quite quickly noticed my temps were toasty. not worry toast but not where id like. 67-75C while loaded depending on game being played, with my fans cranked to max on all rads (only a 240 front intake and 120 push/pull exhaust out the back installed) i started thinking to myself : i need a bigger case, to at least fit my second brand new 240 rad in (brand new EK rad still in the box) and get some more cooling performance. current case is a butchered NZXT H210i (when i say butchered i so casually "removed" the rear fan grill honeycomb with a grinder and filed it to allow better radiator airflow) id like something i can at LEAST fit my 2x 240s in (am open to buying a 360 or 2 if needed), still looks good, and maybe a vertical GPU mount because i want to cover empty space and not buy a new MB ( running on ITX) as im sure most of the recommended cases will be M-ATX or larger. please leave your thoughts below, id like it to look decent, as it will be ontop of my desk next to the monitor. i have no current floor space avaliable. ill attach a current setup photo for reference.
  18. my possible thoughts were to deploy it on the machine i have at home for work use, and attempt software testing. because i can remote into servers and production machines from here for testing purposes if need be to pull the current running versions of software. my biggest worry is the software for our engineering team's 3D printer for making mock up parts. if they lose use of that they'll throw a fit for one. secondly itll slow down machine repairs and product deployments. EDIT : in other news give me your GPU. just kidding.
  19. i have an operational Mac II Ci, want to come play with it? lol i also have a 486DX with 3.1 on it...somewhere
  20. China : -calls putin- Putin : -Picks up phone- Da? China : we need more power! Putin : Sorry you are at limit allowed -hangs up phone- all jokes aside what do you expect with how many people live in that country. i dont think theres a power grid large enough to support china.
  21. the amount of doubt i have to this ever happening is large, raja kouduri is in charge. the same man who made the slightly shameful vega and radeon VII
  22. Windows 11 is on our doorstep, but i'm sure we're all weary of "this is microsoft's last OS" and then them dropping another one 7 years later. The real question is how bad with the compatibility nightmare be for older software and games, is it going to destroy everything that finally (somewhat) works on windows 10? i'm looking at this from an IT standpoint because my boss is currently discussing upgrading, before the OS is even out. And frankly i'm already a bit weary from the jump that windows 7 to 10 did to us. the nightmares we endured for months to get everything running again properly. anybody else unsure of microsofts promises except me?
