  1. if you really want to go ALLL the way back in the list. i technically started on a 166mhz pentium --> Pentium 2 200mhx w/MMX --> 800mhz Pentium 3 coppermine --->Core2Duo E7400 ---> i5 2500K ---> i5 7600K ---> R5 3600 ---> R9 3900XT ---> R9 5950X. the only thing i really had that was AMD in the core 2 duo up until present that was AMD cpus besides ryzen was laptops.
  2. nice i was on core2duo until SB, went to 2500K, stayed 2500K until 7600K. then when ryzen 3000 series came out i finally went "oooo shiny" and bought into that. now im on a 5950X............im such a sucker for shiny things........... mind you the jump from 3600 to 5950X was well worth it...especially at a mis-tagged half price of 659.99
  3. if you like full tower cases, try and locate yourself some HAF 922/932s they were really popular back in the day. i'm sure somebody has one. when the 1100T came out, i was on a lowly cure 2 duo E7400 still . i was a total pleb.
  4. i will come to your house....and send those gpus to gamers in need....XD
  5. what scares me is i have a 15ms ping to florida
  6. yes that looks like wildlands
  7. updated speed with working 10G port on modem connection is supposed to be 1.5gbps/980mbps
  8. yeah ill happily hold onto my 5700XT. it does absolutely fine at 1440P high for what i play. as far as prices go, i walked into my local pc shop (in canada) the other day, the price tag on a 6700XT was $1100. i just kinda chuckled at the guy behind the counter.
  9. more like *ding* what is this i won something? *opens doc* *20 minutes later entire network is fubar*
  10. this is my temporary speed until my replacement FTTH modem comes, the 10G port is currently dead on mine. this is on a 1G port
  11. the double click really only happens if your slamming your mouse on the desk incessantly out of anger.......at least from what ive seen floating around forums in other news : Yesterday: 5950X for 649.99 (they misprinted the price tag, employee was immediately fired after honoring) and Kingston FuryX RGB 3600 64GB kit Today: 50ft CAT 7 cable for my new 1.5gbps FTTH internet
  12. So, i recently upgraded from a 100/10 line (fast but not fast enough) to a 1.5gbps/980mbps fiber line through my ISP (Bell Canada) the new modem they brought has a 10gbps port on it. i figured perfect, my pc has a 2.5gbps intel network card in it. so ill get full speed. i was wrong. symptoms as follows : Plugged into 10G port on modem Via CAT7 cable: 1. inconsistent speedtest speeds, nowhere near half of my rated internet speed, choppy on both upload and download 2. same inconsistency shown while downloading anything, gaming is fine and latency to servers is extremely low 3. steam will use the full speed for about 15 seconds on a large game download. them drop right to 0, no disk activity either, then pick back up (not a write bottleneck, steam is pointed at an M.2 PCIe SSD) Plugged into a 1G standard port on the modem via same cat 7 cable: 1. more consistent download upload speeds showing 930mbps/910mbps 2. downloading from browser is fine, so is other game launchers, gaming and latency remain fine and low 3. steam performs more consistently, but still only pulls around 250-300mbps before dropping to 0 in the same fashion as before the problem with option 2 is it caps me below 1gbps so i dont overload the port, and steam is just annoying both ways, and option 1 would be great if it actually got to speeds its rated for, and the cable is brand new, i installed it today. its also a 50 foot cable, which even cat5e would handle theoretically for my internet speed. any insight into this would be great, as its annoying me to no end that i cant make the 10G port behave and do its job. and that steam is this broken is beyond me. EDIT: Issue solved, defective hardware from bell, new modem on the way.
  13. i may have to make a trip down later in the year when it gets cold up here in canadia

  20. update time, did some desk de-cluttering, got new mouse and keyboard and desk mat, and cable managed under my desk also ATH-M50x's and a Marantz microphone and boom for streaming along with a native instruments komplete audio 1 interface. excuse how the wall under the desk looks, a cabinet that was previously in that spot had rubbed along the wall and wore the paint off.
  21. i actually remembered the old bcdboot command line saand used that to create an EFI partition on my drive, incase anyone needs it ill post it here: Run the following commands in command prompt and click enter at the end of each: Diskpart List disk Select disk Select Partition(the one on your OS drive you are borrowing space from, you only need 100MB) shrink partition=500 Create partition efi Format quick fs=fat32 List partition List volume (i.e. the volume letter where the Windows OS is installed) Exit bcdboot X:/windows /s Y:(Replace "X" with the Volume letter of the Windows OS partition and "Y" with your new EFI Partition). Reboot your PC and change your bios to boot from your OS drive.
  22. that curved monitor looks strange standing on end, looks kinda like the giant curved computer screens in HL2
  23. both drives funtion normally in windows, the rear board M.2_2 slot is SATA only, so sadly swapping isnt an option. i find it strange that boot manager didnt end up on the windows install drive
