Love it. Wish I still had my old ATi cards. 7500, 9700 Pro, x1650 Pro. Still have my 5770's.

my intention eventually is to collect flaship cards from 3000 to 6000 series of AMD, and 8800GTX to possibly 480 or 580 on the nvidia side, i'm trying to get cards with vanilla AMD coolers (because transparent red is cool) and BFG/EVGA for the nvidia side then i will mount them on my wall behind my desk as display items, working or not

I always had this issue with my amd gpu for some reason. I wonder if corsair or logitech software may be the cause.

Tried studio and latest driver. And the fan never go over 1000 rpm at high temp for some reason. Even tried all those setting in white here.  Just manual work. Gonna try uninstalling some software.

That does look interesting but to be honest for now I'm going to leave what I have (apart from replacing the bushings/mounts in the future). I want to take the current setup I have to the track (Toronto Motorsports Park) and get comfortable with it before deciding what mods to do in the future. I have a feeling it might be better brakes rather than more power though.

as far as power goes it really doesnt do that, it more just takes away air restriction and sharp corners to increase air speed into the intake. youll maybe make 10-15HP more, its more of a driveability mod.

but i do agree, better brakes before making an engine do anything better is probably a good idea, i recently put drilled rotors on the sebring for the same reason, i was making some toasty brakes slowing down to dive corners on winding roads, after about an hour or so i knew what to do.

EDIT: time to tease you alex, meet the ultimate S2000

  5. everybody has heard my EVGA What The Flock story.

pair of G92 9800GTX+ cards in SLI. less than 2 weeks old, i unknowingly got a bad nvidia driver. went to pul lthe card to do maintenance and they were melted into the PCI-E lanes on the motherboard and were burning hot to the touch. sent EVGA pictures and video of it.

warranty denied. driver is user error. i called bs on that because nobody was notified about a bad driver until a few weeks later, then it mysteriously disappeared from nvidias website.

now everyone knows why im so sour with EVGA/nvidia. i was a teenager flipping burgers and delivering papers to build a pc, they took my money and laughed in my face.

Any particular reason for the 70/30 isopropyl as opposed to 91%?  Just curious if the 70/30 does some tasks better.

the 70/30 is actually for cleaning the bed on my 3D printer. cant use higher % or it ruins the build surface im using.

He can't source better than 70% where he is in Canadia. I offered to ship him some, but he's Canadian and apologized while saying no.

@Avacadoactually, the only thing i was worried about was the bottles getting destroyed in shipping

Never had nvidia driver on that build But did not run DDU in safe mode. I did DDU like 4 time tho.

But i don't know the cooling issue is maybe just the bios i don't really know if it driver or bios. Just does't make sense that it run 1100rpm at 50c but slow down when it get hotter. 🤯

And for folding am just angry because crappy linux driver seem to do 4m ppd average. Meanwhile windows 11 is like 1.5-2.0 average for me.  😟

Am not good enough with linux to figure out how to make the rx work with the driver. Did a dual boot to try it but gave up haha.

For now am gonna stick to it. My fan setting resetting was probably my damn asus software crashing the pc i just never noticed if it restarted. Gonna keep a look at the Event Log in the future days.

Thank you al for the help 🙂

This driver seem to run better even if it from 2021

no problem dude, also, check if the card is dual bios, if it is it may be on "silent mode" on the switch by default. if it is that could explain the fan aswell

Everything running good now it seem. Manual setting seem to hold 2k rpm and gpu core 53c and memory junction at 57c  room temp 20c Average 95% usage 1.7m ppd

Put it for sale gonna see if i get good offer. But i may keep it. New gen coming anyways.

folding is based on what work units you pull. that average number you see is just that. an average. you can be either above or below that target by a large margin.

i do wonder if you DDU erased your old drivers in safe mode, before installing new ones and the new card. especially if an nvidia driver has been on the system recently.

Instead of a password, devices could look for your phone over Bluetooth.

I wonder how secure this will be. When they can't even protect NFC and Car key from being Copied.

in all honesty, probably not very , i mean local bluetooth at home, youd get away with it. out and about with a laptop. kinda sketchy

  12. you should go looking for a skunk2 intake header for that engine, its ported and allows it to breathe more freely than the stock one, a friend of mine had one on his back before he sold it to someone down in california it let the engine breathe much better high up in RPMs and pull a bit better down low.

Indeed. I do remember being disappointed that I had no email. Now I am disappointed about how much email I get. And, 99% of it is unsolicited crap that I wish I didn't get. My how things change.  One might say that you can get too much of a good thing, but in the case of email it is generally too much of a bad thing.

ironically after 17 years i created a new email address yesterday for this exact reason. all the crap i signed up for as a teenager spams my inbox to this day.

with the exception of Coke Music, RIP my friend you consumed me as a teenager.

modem wise, the only thing that used to annoy every one of us, guranteed was when mom picked up the phone in the kitchen to kick you offline so youd come downstairs for dinner.

kids today will never know the pain of taking 4 hours to download 10 3 minute MP3 files.....
