  1. Update... Images removed* function updateVideoGameReleaseDate() { // Replace this URL with the URL of the web page where the release date is located. var url = "https://example.com/video-game-release-date"; // Replace this XPath expression with the XPath expression that selects the release date from the web page. var xpath = "//div[@class='release-date']"; var sheet = SpreadsheetApp.getActiveSpreadsheet().getSheetByName("Sheet1"); var cell = sheet.getRange("A1"); var html = UrlFetchApp.fetch(url).getContentText(); var releaseDate = extractReleaseDateFromHtml(html, xpath); if (releaseDate !== cell.getValue()) { cell.setValue(releaseDate); } } function extractReleaseDateFromHtml(html, xpath) { var document = XmlService.parse(html); var root = document.getRootElement(); var namespace = root.getNamespace(); var elements = root.getElements(XmlService.parseXPath(xpath, namespace)); if (elements.length > 0) { return elements[0].getText(); } else { return ""; } } Well would you look at that. I'll see if I can take this thread as a learning exercise in automation...
  2. Yes - I'm particularly interested in where Elder Scrolls goes. I never beat Skyrim but I loved Oblivion. I wouldn't Skyrim is more dumbed down but I do miss the silly things like, the more you jump, the better your jumping skill is. The level of detail, quality / quantity of quests in Skyrim was impressive, to me, compared to past games.
  3. Anyone know how to use AI (ChatGPT) for it to automatically update my google sheet XD
  4. Wow... I surely hope GT7 comes to PC. At least Forza Motorsport (2023) is coming to PC.
  5. Quick update: I'm going to update the data sheet with a new column for "System". That way I can add console games. This thread will default to a Pivot table that filters PC games only. I'll create another thread for console games but it will link the same sheet. Hope that makes sense. TL;DR. One data sheet; two threads. One for PC discussions, one for console discussions.
  6. Metroid Prime: Remastered Nintendo Switch Beyond thrilled that they remastered what I would argue is the greatest video game of all time. It was and will remain my favourite. Highly recommend if you have a Switch.
  7. Let us know how it performs Now that I have a "working" reference cooler, I'm very happy with it. Glad it's not oversized and it can still handle up to 400w within reason (acceptable noise).
  8. The request is valid but it's obviously a complex topic. However, there are certainly some red flags that catch my eye. This article wraps it up nicely: Questions remain over Atomic Heart developer's Russian origins WWW.EUROGAMER.NET As the release of sci-fi shooter Atomic Heart nears, numerous questions around the project remain - which its developer… I'm not sure if the platforms have to comply but the question remains: are there any sanctions that directly ban the sale Russian funded software (video games)? Even if we all agree that the developers are nice people with good intensions, just follow the $.
  9. I've started to really fill up the list and came across Phantom Brigade. Different scope / style of game but it's a Mech RPG / Strategy game. Might be up your alley and comes out next week. There is a demo too. https://store.steampowered.com/app/553540/Phantom_Brigade/
  10. Still inputting data but I've added a Pivot Table in the second tab, so you can consolidate and tabulate the data.
  11. I'm a little skeptical but I will try to keep an open mind. Last trailer (gameplay) didn't really excite me as much as I thought it would.
  12. I'll start with more interesting ones but everyone has their own tastes and I dont mind updating the list as people discuss. It only crossed my mind to track as I just realized Company of Heroes 3 was just released (tomorrow)*. Company of Heroes was one of my first Steam games I purchased. I don't intend on buying it right now BUT it made me wonder how many other titles have I or others forgotten... Edit: List is a draft right now with just a copy / paste from Wiki. It needs to be cleaned up as it includes all platforms. I'll work on it over the next few days in spare time.

  14. Hi all, I am creating this thread so we can track all titles on PC for the year 2023. There are a LOT of games rolling out every month. I can't keep track of it all in my head so I thought I would log it here. Feel free to suggest, recommend, provide feedback on any of the games mentioned. Whether you're anticipating it, avoiding it, or just finished playing it. Cheers!
  15. Update: I've created a sheet up top (3rd post) which includes a live Google Sheet. The Google Sheet is directly embedded into the post (nice feature). See post above for more details and how it works. I may reposition it in the main OP as I find more content to fill the first few posts. TBD.
  16. The way I understand it is that the patent / technology is their solution to transfer heat into a hot water tank. Most homes in the UK use radiators, not forced air (furnaces) to heat their homes. Energy costs are sky rocketing in Europe because Russia's invasion of Ukraine. So, as long as you have an existing domestic hot water tank, you could save energy by recycling the heat from their server into your system. If go to Heata's page, you'll see that they also cover the electricity to power the server. Just keep in my they install sub-metering (great!) but they control the credits (not great ) for your electric bills (your responsibility). They say the submeter is accredited (a.k.a. legit) but as a home owner, I would evaluate this point more closely before getting into a shared responsibility for electrical bills. Edit: It also uses your existing network for connectivity. At the end of the day, it's an interesting initiative. Just read the fine print first heata | join our trial and get free hot water WWW.HEATA.CO We're looking for homes to host a heata unit as part of our trial to gain SAP accreditation, which will enable heata units can be measured on Energy Performance Certificates. Do you want to be part of a...
  17. Echoing UltraMega's comments. That is a huge LEAP. Techpowerup shows it as 600% LOL. In console context that would be similar to moving from a Base PS4 / Xbox One to a system that is ~2x faster than a PS5 / Series X. Welcome to the club! Maybe I can get a Google sheet going with club members if there is appetite.
  18. Work was busy this week so I haven’t had the time to populate more info. Either way, I don’t expect a ton of activity. It’ll be a slow burn for the first couple months.
  19. Made Khinkali (Georgian dumplings) from scratch. Found a couple recipes but I got skeptical with the dough recipe as I was preping the dough. I pivoted my method when I found this video from this boss cook. Out of the 24 we made, only a couple broke. Not bad for a first attempt. Highly recommend for those who are fan on dumplings. Pierogi, gyoza etc.
  20. It pains me to see people STILL recommend EK after all these years. There are so many other block manufacturers that consistently deliver without risking materials. EK: Just use copper. Stop trying to nickel plate it and for Pete's sake don't nickel plate aluminum...
  21. You know, if the AI reads this thread, learns from its mistake, posts here acknowledging the issue and identifies a solution… I’ll be impressed.
  22. Elaine clipping through the couch tells me that we're not quite there yet.
  23. Recipes / guidelines for those interested. I deviate a bit but your mileage may vary. Get creative with the rub. I grind coffee and it works well. Mix with thick, coarse sea salt and pepper and you're good. Brisket -> https://youtu.be/QvLgrDz-QqE Pizza -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqVgJHThsco
