  1. the orange ones pillsbury makes in the can are good also.
  2. Welcome, most of us fled here when we heard about it because we went quality over quantity....
  3. Make sure it's not 1 of the issues I ran across with my x470.
  4. I feel your pain. The reason I switched to cable back around 2005-06 was because I was moving across town(same town, just a few miles away)and where I was before att offered an upgrade to 6mbps from 3 so I figured I'd get it at the new place. Well, at the new place they told me all I could get was 1(one)mbps which averaged 756kbps. They explained it was because I was further away from their servers. I called cox/suddenlink to see if they could install the day I was moving in, and they didn't have a modem @ the local store, but if I wanted to buy my own instead of renting theirs, they could do it "And,Oh,by the way,we are offering a $20 rebate to customers who supply their own modems, just bring the receipt into the office to apply for it". My local Office Depot had 1 on sale for $29.99 with a $20 rebate and I got $20 from the cable company. Made $10 and saved rental fees because they were out of stock, got 10mbps to start for my speed with 5x the data. lol, cost per month was actually cheaper when it got bundled.
  5. Sony launches ‘foster care’ program for its aging Aibo robot dogs - The Verge WWW.THEVERGE.COM Donated Aibo’s will provide emotional support to medical and nursing facilities. Sony finds a heart, even if it has a price tag attached....
  6. Depending on the game, some are bringing the mods to consoles. Skyrim already has it, Dying Light2 bring it now, and Starfield is supposed to be having it. They're realizing that console gaming is a big chunk also.
  7. Running Win 10, this is what opens for me, not minimized to task bar, but not full screen.I can click the box in upper right to go full screen from there. Running BenQ 27" 4k monitor with RTX2070 GPU and Ryzen 2700x cpu. To add pics after posting, just click on the "Edit Post" option and you can add them then.
  8. a quick google search shows you're not the only person with blurred text issues with the LG monitors in those specs.
  9. GOG has a sale going on also. If anyone's missing any of the Metro games or DLC's you can get the entire Metro Franchise (3 main games + 2 DLC addons) for $9.59 if you know someone who needs some shooter to start with it makes a nice cheap gift also.
  10. I know this is the pc game list, but just an FYI, XBOX is shutting down the 360 store so if anyone has a xbox360 they need to ck for any downloads they need to install to their games before it's too late. (or any cheap games they wanna get before they're gone)
  11. The wifes controllers seem to last a couple years max before the buttons or stick * the bed on her(she uses them for at least a couple hours most days) We just replaced ps4 and xbox1s controllers last week, we're probably gonna spend the extra for the elite on the next xbox controller 'cause you can replace buttons and sticks on them. Oh, xbox lower the warranty time on the standard controller down to 3 months now that the elite is out. Use to be 1 year, Walmart offers a 3 year 3rd party warranty on new xbox wireless controllers for $7.00 Might just start going with that.
  12. Great read, well written review. My ONLY question is in regards to the OCCT testing, it seems strange that the custom loop and air cooled score the same while I believe the AIO score a touch lower? (or maybe higher, not sure how the ratings are figured in OCCT) I would have figured the air cooled to be the odd man out if there was going to be 1. Edit: Also curious what EK considers "normal wear and tear" my previous AIO had 1 year or 3600 hours. (they figured a work day) It lasted me less then a year because I rarely turn my comp off. 3.5.3. Cases when EKWB AIO product Warranty does not Apply The EKWB AIO product Warranty does not apply if the AIO product has been installed and/or used in a mfanner that does not comply with user instructions, or has been fitted on unsuitable materials. Normal wear and tear If the EKWB AIO product has been modified or repaired by personnel other than EKWB’s If the defect or damage has been caused by accident, lightning, or other electrical discharge, fresh or salt water immersion or spray (outside EKWB AIO product specifications); or exposure to environmental conditions for which the EKWB AIO product is not intended where the EKWB AIO product is damaged as a result of abuse, accident, or other causes beyond our reasonable control
  13. Getting my Neil Young fix for the day....
  14. I'm sure ASUS will make a designer case for the designer board that compliments the designer card, maybe even a designer PSU? You know, a whole ROG system....
  15. Title tract off Excitable Boy is awesome and still relatable today!
  16. I don't know about granparents, but parents yes, and even me later,
  17. (sigh) Soon we'll have the ASUS Strixyingware vs the Dell Alienware in the "Battle of the Proprietary Prebuilts!"
  18. Nice concept, but seems like you'd be going down the Dell rabbit hole of being locked into proprietary hardware with the purchase unless it were to go industry wide.
  19. They were already making some sweet little comps, I hope they don't start going down hill without the NUC competition
  20. If/when I upgrade to a 5000 series ryzen, I think I'll get 1 of these so I have the PCIe4 support for a new card also and pass my older ryzen 2700x with the x470 board to the wife so she'll have a newer system also.
  21. Well, the good and the bad of prime day shopping.... (Note that ALL 3 items arrived in tulsa tuesday night at the latest) First we have the HDMI cables, no issues, then batteries, no issues, but when we get to the big money item, they screw it up.Was prime shipping when ordered, but got changed to later dates with orders placed the next day.Edit: Fire Cube arrived Tuesday 7/18/2023,was shipped in brown paper bag that had torn so they folded/wrapped it all around the cube and used packing tape to hold it closed.Even though the box was torn on 1 corner it was where nothing was in it to be damaged(because packing keeps remote away from bottom of shipping box). While not happy with shipping, everything else is good so I let it slide this time.
  22. Same on my end, Firefox showing the same "No video with supported blah,blah..." Edit: I just copy and pasted the address into a tab on chrome and it opened with the video ready to play with no issue, so my guess is it's a video codec that Firefox needs added to it's extensions. Edit#2 If I right click the video, it gives me options (see attachment screenshot) and opening it in a new tab the video plays fine. Anything to make me work an extra click into viewing experience lol
  23. I think the best one I ever ran across was my bank card being declined 1 day but my wifes working. I tried 2 different places and even putting the # in manually and it was declined. I called my bank and they told me they had canceled my card as a courtesy because it had been exposed in a Burger King data breach. While I appreciated the concern,I would have liked it MORE if they'd told me BEFORE canceling the card, especially since I was planning to go out of town in a couple of days to be at the hospital while my wife had surgery. Would have been real nice to find out it was canceled after I was at the hospital with no way to get a new card or my ck book!(I don't drive)
