  1. Bought an 11900k for this rig from tps3443 over on Overclock.net yesterday. Smoothest transaction I've had in a while. $200 and had it shipped out the same day, It'll be here tomorrow! Still going to finish the build with the 11600k so I can run that for HWBOT, but I'll have a baller CPU to drop in when I upgrade the GPU. PPCS order came in so I got the rads all sorted out. Lots of tight fits here. Used a couple barbs with zip ties in place of compressions in a couple spots. The low profile 90 I was waiting on worked perfectly. Shoots into the back of the case and loops around into the distro. I did use a piece of 3/8x1/2" tube here because there was no way 1/2x3/4" was making that bend with the rear side panel on.

Prior to rebranding myself as Fluxmaven I went by SirT0astAlot May have left less room for confusion, but glad I moved away from that.

A certain was just messing with me... Or at least I think he was. Maybe he really did think I was a girl. Either way it had nothing to do with you. I also wasn't very talkative since I was at a concert the night before and didn't get to bed until after 4am... Was still a bit hungover when I got on discord Considering everything I own besides my Plex server and NAS are liquid cooled, I'd say you're probably correct

I was never enough of a bro to wear the "tough guys wear pink" tee shirt, so this was the best I could do. I COULD polish that thang up, but considering it's going to be used for a day then go back into a box for possibly years, I'll just run her as is

    2022 Team Cup!

Was nice to meet a few of you in the discord today, sorry I'm not the gamer girl you thought I was Unfortunately, most of the HWBOT categories seem to have some sort of requirement that excludes most of the stuff I have laying around. Currently my plans are bench the 11600k in the Intel CPU DDR4 category, Run 460s in the Nvidia GPU 400 series SLI, and run my 7970s in the AMD GPU GDDR5 category. So I need another 460, and an AM3+ platform. I did find a few things on the ole ebay. Also found a PC on FB marketplace with an FX-9590 and Asus crosshair v formula that the seller is possibly open to parting out but it's an hour drive from here and I'm lazy... Performance PCs actually still has the same Bitspower block that I have on my current 460, but not really in the mood to spend more than the GPU on a block. Started digging around in the closet and dug up an EK-VGA Supreme HF and a new acrylic top for it! Has that typical EK quality nickel plating but looks pretty fresh with the new top.
  6. Surprisingly won this SF450 for pretty cheap at Goodwill. Got the email that I won it, and I totally forgot I had even bid on it Also bought a Koolance low profile 90 degree fitting from PPCS to finish the build I'm working on and tickets for emo nite which I'm about to go to now.
  7. Is noise an issue? I have a Quadro P4000 being underutilized in my Plex server that I could send over, but if you put a real load on it, the single slot fan can get really annoying.
  8. We're saving all of those pics for the ExtremeHW Onlyfans account. Gotta pay for all that hardware somehow
  9. Decided I didn't really want to use the tube pump/res from V1. I actually have two of these Bitspower/Maingear distro plates. They are designed for a Maingear Vybe (which I do have and will do a build log for eventually). To make one fit in the Asus Tuf GT501 I just needed to drill a few holes. Cut up a piece of foam as a spacer for the top and used a little strip of 3M VHB on the bottom. Overall I'm happy with it. Hardest thing is going to be connecting both radiators. Used a crossflow up top with the stock Tuf RGB fans push and BeQuiet SW3's pull. Doing just push with the Tuf fans on a normal 360 rad in the front. Looking like I might need to use one smaller diameter tube to get everything behind the distro connected as it's just too tight with all the 1/2x3x4" tubing.
  10. Swapped out the waterblock on the 1070. Shout out to Swiftech for pre-applying thermal pads, as well as folding over the corners of the protective tape to make it easier to peel off. Speaking of peeling things.... My dumb ass left the protective plastic on the heatsink I was testing with Copper and gold really don't match at all but once it's in a case with a tinted glass side panel I'm banking on it being close enough I was going to just toss a simple loop together with a 360 rad and that Aquastream Eheim pump that's sitting on my desk but I can't find the G1/4 adapter fittings So... No quick loop to get some HWBOT runs in this weekend. Just gonna go ahead and build the whole rig.
  11. Lol it makes up for the parking ticket I got while I was out of town. I forgot that they run the street sweeper first Thursday every month and I left my car in front of the house Now I just need to snag a reference 6900XT.
  12. I'm too cheap to overpay for a high fllow NEXT. I bought a D5 NEXT right when they first came out and its neat but I never look at the little screen. I just picked up a high flow 2 instead. Also still have the original high flow sensor which has been running great for years. Also swung by Microcenter to pick up some cheap open box finds that I reserved the the other day. I had been keeping my eye on the 6900xt block for a while as the price had been dropping the past few weeks. Ended up snagging it for $18.28 after tax. The 16mm hardline fittings were about a dollar a pop but I had gotten an email that they were out of stock after I put in an online reservation. To my surprise they handed me the bag of fittings and only charged me my updated order total which was for just the block. So I guess after they had already altered the order they found the fittings and just gave them to me since they were already OOS in their system.

Would definitely be worth it so you don't have to keep repeating the same info. A lot of questions have been asked and answered both in this thread and on the discord. I know I've thanked you already but again really appreciate you hand holding all of the first time HWBOTers through the process. I'm hoping to get a couple runs in this weekend. Flying home in a couple hours. Just found out I'll be flying right back to Florida next week... I'm really starting to miss my former WFH IT job.
  14. Heat is my biggest enemy currently. Will be nice when winter comes so I can really push everything. I was running a 3090 @ 69% power limit, a 2080 that stopped folding at some point, and a 1080ti
  15. Hadn't checked on the rigs at all but remoted into them a bit ago. (Lots of zooming in attempting this from my phone ). Found the GPU slot failed on the 2080. I'm not sure how long that was down for. @mx500torid what all hardware are you running? We finished super close. IIRC we were really close in 24hour average last month too. Either way, good job

I ran mine too but score was in between your scores so it never showed up. Or I screwed up posting it which is also possible
  17. Same here. I have redundant pumps and rules set in Aquasuite to shut the PC down if flow rate or temps get bad, but I still don't like running it when I'm not home. Not sure why, I've had very few failures over the years and never lost hardware. My first D5 which was a full speed non vario lasted 9 years.
  18. Bedroom rig is up and folding. Still deciding if I want to leave my main rig folding while I'm out of town for a week. If I do, I'll drop the power limit way down. My roommate has been rendering on his 3090s so the home office is already borderline unbearably hot. Don't want to be a jerk contributing to the problem when I'm not there to share in the suffering. When I got back from Michigan, I conveniently left my travel rig in my soulless cubicle (that I'm thankfully rarely in). Figured might as well fold with free power
  19. The tablet is a MS surface my buddy saved from the work recycle bin. I figured I'd use it for looking stuff up while using the workbench but my main PC is in the same room so the surface is basically just a desk clock lol. I love Monsoon fittings. That stack is all the angled adapters that are matched to the OD of their free center compressions that I already have for this build. Bring all the beer you want, I'm always down to party. I bought that stool off craigslist in the ghetto when I lived in Georgia. When I pulled up the guy selling it could tell I wasn't from that neighborhood and told me I best hurry on home IDK what gave me away... Probably looked a little something like this. Dug out the 1070 I'm borrowing for now. My boy apparently never heard of the word maintenance . Conveniently have a spare NIB Origin PC branded Swiftech Komodo block. bought a whole stack of these years ago cheap from some reseller on ebay. Honestly don't know if I'll even bother cleaning the dirty block. When I sold my last 1080 with one of these blocks, couldn't get any interest. Ended up swapping back to the FE blower and tossing the block in for free "Just in case the guy wanted to watercool in the future".
  20. Lot's of things going on all at once so I apologize for the messy photos... Roommates EX was living in the downstairs living room for the past month while trying to find an apartment. So a bunch of stuff ended up piled up in the upstairs living room where my sim rig currently is buried. She just moved out today so things will all get moved around soon. Sim rig and projector are moving downstairs and I'm just going to put a big TV up in this space. New CPU and motherboard are on my workbench along with a 960 I'm going to run for the HWBOT thing. Going to make a simple water loop to do those runs since I want to get some decent scores with the 11600k for HWBOT. I can currently only fit one stick of RAM with the air cooler I had handy.

First time on HWBOT so I appreciate you and @Avacado's advice as well as being patient with noobs asking dumb questions.
  22. I already have it. It's 1/2x3/4" (13/19mm). I bought out the rest of sidewinder computers supply when they went out of business. I've seen the misshap. Won't catch me lacking like that
  23. Also should mention the only thing coming over from the V1 scrap pile is the PSU and pump. The old 750D is getting scrapped. I have a couple new cases to pick between. I'll get some photos with both and make a decision soon. Going to run dual 360mm rads, gold monsoon free center compressions since there aren't many copper colored fittings, and Tygon A-60-G. Pulling one of the 32gb B-die kits from my main rig since I no longer do a bunch of work stuff in VMs and don't need 64gb.
