  1. Yea I don't bother setting foot in the stores. All the cool deals I find are on their website shopgoodwill.com.
  2. Found something a bit unusual at Goodwill. A new in the box CoolIT Freezone Elite. Still has the factory thermal paste on the coldplate! I'll do a separate thread for it once I figure out what I'm going to try and cool with it.
  3. Thanks for taking the time to add everything. There are a few boards I would like to get at some point but I've scaled back on the hobby as a whole in the past couple years. There was a point where I was browsing r/mechmarket daily. Used to buy a lot of botched boards to fix and flip. Usually just bad soldering sometimes got lucky and people just didn't know how to flash firmware.
  4. It's an original TrackMan Marble from 95. Works great but it feels like a cheap toy compared to my CST (Clearly Superior Technologies) L-Trac Glow.
  5. I try not to think about how many keyboards I have lol. I'll list a few of them RAMA Kara - Glorious Pandas - GMK Laser Custom 60% with brass plate and NPKC resin case - BOX Royal - KAT Specimen Custom 60% with KPrepublic 3layer case - Gateron Green - EnjoyPBT Sushi Anne Pro - Lubed Gateron Browns - Stock keycaps and a couple cheap artisans Daisy 40% meme build... - IIRC it's Gat housings, Cherry blue stems, 150g springs - random blanks I had in my spare parts drawer. Clueboard - 67g Zealios- SA Pulse Affirmative branded Unicomp Model M 122 key - Buckling springs- Stock caps *Miata for scale. (also yikes I forgot how tall it was before coilovers) Realforce 87u - 55g uniform Topre - mostly stock with 8 bit alphas and purple marble caps... Don't remember the brand. Also have a GMMK TKL that I used for testing switches, another custom board with BOX Navies (clickiest board I own), and a few different 60% cases and keycap sets that I swap between as well as a few mech numpads and macro pads.
  6. I have been around my fair share of livestock. Pigs were by far the worst. If I ever move back out in the country I'd just have a couple laying hens and call it a day. Good luck with Mr. Waddles. Hopefully your daughter doesn't lose interest too quickly and have him end up as your pet.
  7. Interested in how a 360 rad would slip in there. I've always liked the look of the old HP Z series workstations.
  8. ^ you only run them at 100%? Gotta overclock those bad boys I agree that once you go Aquacomputer, you can't go back. You could completely uninstall Aquasuite after you configure the controller if you wanted to. Once the controller is flashed, it will run autonomously indefinitely. It's awesome for non PC projects or external radiators where you just add power and it does it's thing.
  9. I can justify them because all of my builds have custom loops. Flow sensor input and the ability to base fan speed off of liquid temp is nice.
  10. Aquacomputer Quadro or Octo are fan controllers you could mount anywhere in the case.
  11. Oops... forgot this was happening this weekend. I'll be down a rig but gonna get some points on the board regardless.
  12. At least you don't get hit with all that until next year so you can budget for it accordingly. I've lived in 4 different states within the past decade and the process has been a bit different each time. Usually a fair bit of running around. When I moved to the Cincinnati area my coworkers told me I should register my cars in Ohio since they don't have vehicle property tax. If I had a new $80k truck I'd have borrowed one of their addresses. Since I drive older cars that are relatively worthless in the DMV's eyes, I just used my actual address which is right across the river in Kentucky.
  13. Sounds like you're off to a good start out there which is good to hear. When I left Kansas I moved to Georgia for a couple years. Spending less at the DMV was about the only good part lol.
  14. I grew up just North of Topeka and used to love going over to KC. Power and Light district is pretty cool and they have a Micro Center down in Overland Park. Hopefully once you get unpacked the wife and kid will let you relax for more than 5 minutes at a time. Of course as soon as you get up to take a pic the cat steals your seat

    Hello

Not sure why you'd allow any of the weirdos here on your lawn but welcome to the forum!
  16. Lol it's hard when a lot of people really are stupid. Just can't point it out because it's not ok to hurt their feelings.
  17. Lately I've made a point to dress like a bum whenever I go into Microcenter. Everyone ignores me while I browse around, it's great. If I'm there to actually buy something that requires them to pull it out of the case, I just flag someone down.
  18. What happened to ShawnB? I know he was on OCN at one point. Or maybe I don't want to know lol. depends on how bad it was
  19. It's always the second you pull the trigger on a deal a better deal shows up lol. I'm happy with my 3090 but I was tempted to grab one of those 6900xt's to compare. Every time I've been to Microcenter recently they have had plenty of AMD cards in stock but they prices were astronomical.
  20. A couple months ago I experienced the same thing. Went to 4-5 stores before I found any. Noticed stock was normal the other day when I was at my usual grocery store.
  21. I think it would actually have a lot better chance of taking off if they focused on small form factor. It would be more beneficial in a smaller case where minimizing cable clutter is more important.
  22. At least they aren't using the Corsair pump/res. I die a little inside every time I see an XD5 in an otherwise nice build. I helped a friend of a friend do a "no expense spared" rig in a R̵e̵d̵b̵u̵l̵l̵ ̵r̵e̵f̵r̵i̵g̵e̵r̵a̵t̵o̵r̵ Thermalfake Tower 900 with dual XD5s. they are so cheap feeling. The whole thing is plastic. I do own a lot of older EK stuff and used to think they were pretty good until I started buying Aquacomputer, Heatkiller, and Optimus gear.
  23. The cable system works really well. Everything is laid out close to where it needs to go so throwing a system together is a breeze. It also has a fan hub built in which I didn't use but could be handy. The case itself isn't the most attractive case, but it's built really well.
