Is the nvidia quadro m2000 compatible with Adobe premiere?
HeyItsChris replied to HeyItsChris's topic in Nvidia
Thanks guys. Yes I suggested my friend buy the hp z840 with 64gb ram dual e5 2697 v3 4tb hdd with windows 10 pro installed and nvidia quadro m2000 as well. He wants to make YouTube videos using Adobe premiere using the quadro m2000 and 56 threads. He paid about 800 usd shipped with tax. It scores like 2000 points cinebench r15 multi which is at least good value. What do yall think? Thanks -

@Fluxmavenso what did u think of the encoding performance of the quadro m2000? I suggested my friend buy an hp z840 with dual e5 2697 v3 and 64gb ddr4 ram. Will it encode well with 56 threads? Know of any comparisons of say an i7 something or other compared to dual xeon e5 2697 v3? Thanks -

Is the nvidia quadro m2000 compatible with Adobe premiere? Apparently it needs cuda api 10.2 or later & all I could find is the m2000 is insufficient? If it's insufficient may you suggest the minimum compatible nvidia gpu? Thanks

Yeah me too man lol I had the same issue with NVIDIA & with NVIDIA they don't even have a Hot Spot limit or any limits of any kind except for power limits. They don't implement them so they can lead in GPU performance but are more likely to fail than AMD cards because AMD at least has a Hot Spot Limit, a Core Temperature Limit, and a VRM Temperature Limit, not to Mention Hot Spot & Video Memory Temperature Limit on RDNA+ GPUs. I'm loving this fan profile I dialed in though for AMD Polaris architecture. It works amazingly well on every AMD Polaris GPU. Just need to change the "MAX FAN SPEED RPM LIMIT" & "ACOUSTIC FREQUENCY LIMIT" to specify the cards specific capabilities like my RX 480 or the reference blowers in particular all put out max 5,300 rpm & you ideally want the "Acoustic Frequency Limit" to be the cards max boost clock, so it stays quiet if it isn't under full load & below the 56°C max fan speed temperature parameter. It is essential to have the fan go full speed early because of the unknown value at idle & load of the AMD Polaris Hot Spot temperature sensor (which doesn't exist). So the fan goes full speed under load @ 56°C & the hot spot as I have set to 84°C max limit for safety purposes since I have my card clocked higher than what is long-term-stable. That way when it hits about 74°C core temp, I notice throttling of the core clock because the card is bouncing off it's theoretical rev limit ie the "Hot Spot Temperature Limit" @ 84°C. I have all my temperature limits @ 84°C because it's the most magical thermal number & is the point at which silicon begins to become damaged beyond 84°C from my extensive research & development of vga bios hex modding.

Thanks man. I finally dialed in a perfect fan curve & ps - 22.5.2 may damage Polaris cards if they are over-volted with the stock 105°C hot spot temp limit since 22.5.2 drivers don't allow the fan to be controlled nor does the fan ramp up when the card gets hot. Only 22.5.1 is working correctly as of 6/18/2022.

I'd like to target 45°C but in the Polaris BIOS editor you can set legacy fan mode but then The Driver refuses to operate that point in Windows so you have to use Fuzzy Fan mode. I want a Linear curve in Adrenalin Software Performance Tuning Fan Settings but I want it to go to 100% @ 45°C & have it start out at 30°C roughly @ 25% fan speed roughly. Like this...

How to fix picture thumbnails & icons in Windows 11?
HeyItsChris posted a topic in Operating Systems
Pictures aren't showing up on a friends PC with Windows 11 pre-release edition before the official release. I tried resetting the thumbnail cache it didn't do anything I tried quite a few things & nothing fixed the blank icons on the Taskbar from Skype among other apps & all Thumbnails for Pictures etc don't work. -
Samsung Galaxy A01 (S111DL) USB Type-C to HDMI?
HeyItsChris replied to HeyItsChris's topic in Laptops/Tablets & Phones
Hopefully it works, but if it doesn't no big deal. I have android 11 on there so I know for sure it should support HDMI function, the OS at least but the phone idk. I'll let yall know for sure when I get it. -
Samsung Galaxy A01 (S111DL) USB Type-C to HDMI?

Thanks. Yeah it doesn't support DeX, I can just install Nova Launcher to get a Landscape home screen & use it as a PC-Like-System this way. -
Samsung Galaxy A01 (S111DL) USB Type-C to HDMI?
HeyItsChris replied to HeyItsChris's topic in Laptops/Tablets & Phones
I'm using it to connect my phone to my TV or Monitor @ hook up my Logitech Unifying Receiver which supports my Wireless Keyboard & Mouse so I can turn my phone into a Mini PC-like system. I have a 256GB Micro SD card in there so I can load it up with Movies & I already have almost 100GB of music on there now. If you can test it out I would appreciate it. Thanks -
I bought an adapter but haven't had a chance to test it yet. I read around the web that it should work but a lot of other people say it won't work. I guess I should just test it but that's a week away at least. So I was wondering if anyone has tested an A-Series Samsung Galaxy with USB Type-C on an HDMI adapter of sorts? Thanks In the below picture it shows a Macbook, but I figured it could work on any USB Type-C device, unless I'm wrong?

Thank you everyone so I found the folder & deleted it & got an error about it every time I loaded up Edge. Now it came back again on its own & so every time it does Edge says to Disable Extensions In Developer Mode. So I did & it got rid of it on it's own & kept my other extensions being ABP (Ad Block Plus) & FDM (Free Download Manager). If it comes back I'll try & get all the pertinent information for troubleshooting further.

Hi, my HP ENVY x360 - 15m-bq121dx is plagued with freezing & BSODs of AMD Driver power state failure & Video Scheduler. It freezes on Microsoft Edge & all browsers in Windows 10 & 11 x64. I'm using driver 21.5.1 now which seems to work okay. It doesn't freeze up or BSOD while in game, only on the desktop doing productivity work. I'm on the latest BIOS F24 released Apr 18, 2022. Thanks It's a 2500u ryzen 5 on 32gb samsung module's which both tested good, no errors & using a nvme 128gb drive for windows & have a backup samsung 2.5" 128gb ssd as well. Update So I taped the transistors around the APU to prevent heatsink metal contact, only time will tell. I had this issue on my 3550H mini pc & it was resolved after the taping. Update It's still freezing. If I drag my mouse across tabs on Microsoft Edge, it freezes for a few seconds and the continues. Sometimes it freezes and BSODs though. *Stumped*

It just now did it again. I know it did it because MSI Afterburner shows all 0s & the display driver crashed because it needs the driver to be patched because of modded gpu bios. Any advice would be appreciated. *The weird thing is im using the same 21.5.1 driver on all 3 of my machines & it only does it on my ryzen 3700x rx 550 rig at the moment.* Thanks Check it out I just DDU'ed & installed 22.5.1 again & checked windows update & sure enough a pending install of a different driver. This is the driver version of a fresh 22.5.1 installation as its bug free for modded bios as the 22.5.2 has a fan speed bug for modded bios 22.5.1 = 30.0.15021.11005 Windows Update AMD Display Driver = 30.0.13023.4001

My CAT5E 25 ft cable auto negotiates to 100Mbps & if I force it to 1Gbps full duplex on both machines (it's a direct connection) it cuts out entirely. I already got a refund on the cable but I'd like to know if it's simply a bad cable? Is there software out there that can test the pair(s) to see if there is a weak link? Thanks
