  1. Somebody called me? Have been eyeing up a new GPU as my current 1660 super doesn't cut it for FS2020. Had a blast playing FS at a buddies house though.
  2. Scored myself a 980 Pro 1tb for $49 figured that's gonna be hard to beat for the price. Shame it says it won't even ship until beginning of august though LOL.
  3. Amazon is currently offering the 4TB WD SN850X NVMe SSD for just $229 for prime members. Shipping is free. Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM Edit: The 2TB variant of this drive is only $99 - Amazon.com WWW.AMAZON.COM
  4. Amazon is currently offering a 27" 144hz LG IPS monitor for just $199 for prime members. Shipping is free. https://www.amazon.com/LG-27GL83A-B-Ultragear-Compatible-Monitor/dp/B07YGZL8XF
  5. One final hurrah for the AM4 platform. Pricing looks good too, going to be a lot of people upgrading in the near future.
  6. I found a pretty good deal on a 4070 and wanted to share it with the rest of the site. Just curious to know if a section for online deals might be added.
  7. Long time no see, it's been a while since carforum went down. Wondering if we should invite Mike and Raptor22 and the other regulars over to here.
  8. Ahh makes more sense then. Still 470 is quite potent for a turbo four.
  9. Does the C63 really have a 700hp 2.0 engine? Must be incredibly powerful for the footprint it takes up. This was Nissan's 3 cylinder race only engine -
  10. Noticed we didn't have a pet related photo thread so figured a couple good doggos might be in order. Top image is pup, bottom is spikey.
  11. PC was in game. Had to enable "Unified GPU Usage" in msi ab settings which fixed it completely. Thanks all for the help.
  12. It is an overclock. Card behaves the same way at 100% stock settings.
  13. Just curious to know what is causing this type of high and low GPU usage. Temperatures on core and VRM are both great and CPU usage is usually below 25%. Specs: Ryzen 5 2600 on an Asus B450F Gaming board - 32GB DDR4-3200 - R9 390 8Gb video card - 1000w Seasonic Platinum PSU - Windows 10 Cross posted on OCN - https://www.overclock.net/threads/what-is-causing-this-spiky-gpu-usage.1796161/
  14. Oh no. no. You don't unclog catalytic converters without replacing them. The best you can do is use the bottled temporary bandaid solutions to keep it going for a little bit. As for the battery you have a parasitic draw somewhere more than likely. Or your battery just had high internal self discharge and needs to be replaced. Depends. Most car batteries are lucky to make it 3 or 4 years so if it's old replacing it can be considered preventative maintenance. Better to do it now than stuck in a parking lot somewhere.
  15. Lots of us long time members from the other board hopped on here as well. And we are quite happy with E's creative vision/work so far. I'm betting that in a few years there will be no better tech forum on the web than this one.
  16. I will second ProtonVPN. Is the best free VPN by a long shot, and the monthly plans are reasonably priced. They are also not US based which is nice as the laws are more favorable that way.
  17. HP has quite a few nice mid range models using Ryzen's with the iGPU. My aunt has one and it's a potent system for the $429 she paid. Also neat statistic to see.
  18. Upgraded my connection recently to 400/100 and it was super speedy for a few weeks, but now I've lost an awful lot of performance.
  19. Nice. Only trouble is my 3900X is already way more than I'd ever need, so I have no reason to upgrade except for giggles. I mean the passmark on the 3900X alone is 6k more than my dual Xeon 24 core rackmount server was. Crazy! I love it. Lol.
  20. I use Windscribe - The member package is $3 a month but even the free version is pretty good. Never lost any of my download or upload speed which was important to me. Works great!
  21. Yeah a similar thing happened with Skylake and the Skylake-OC feature on some motherboards. It was nerfed pretty quickly too.
  22. Nice - Competition has some side benefits, and hopefully like you said they can pour some more money into GPU R&D. The Radeon line has always been a great value but it's still far from calling the shots performance wise.
  23. Enterprise had you said something I have a G3930 sitting here I have no use for. I also have a really nice Z270 motherboard I need to find a home/buyer for.
  24. I have been thinking of hopping on the Nvidia 3080 Ti for a while now and will probably get one myself. Really I want something like the 1080 Ti was @ release, where it stayed relevant for so long (and still is relevant). Basically it comes down to useful lifespan & value for the money over the next 5 years for me. Have to figure, even at $1000 purchase price if I get 5 years out of it that's only $200 per year and not so bad at all. But buying a $200 video card every year would be a lower mid range system, not to mention dealing with driver issues and such. I almost have to laugh at how I can justify a $1000 PC part though. ?
