Folding eats electricity but you can still crunch units fast while conserving power.

Power went out here too but only briefly. Some extreme lightning storm after some extreme heat and humidity today. Internet was out for a bit too.

This is how I'm running the 6900XT during this heat: Basically I found maximum folding stable clock for 800mV.

Going to run one card in super low power mode to keep the heat in check. It's been 120F heat index here for a while with no hope for it letting up in the near future. Air conditioning is having trouble keeping it just 85F but at least it is dehumidifying.

I don't remember if I showed you guys but this is the reference card and accelero cooler I put on it. The stock VRAM/VRM heat sink fit under there no problem.

Ok so I could not get Afterburner Extreme version working properly, probably due to Windows 10. An old version of Trixx allows up to 1.5v but it crashed as soon as I changed anything and pressed apply. No idea. I don't think the LOD mod worked for me either. I've never used it before so I dunno. I did have success running from Radeon RAMdisk but it did not change my score enough to bother submitting. If anyone wants this card I'll send it to you. Competition ends July 15th.

No it's a reference card that I put an Arctic Accelero cooler on there that I had laying around. Your clocks are higher than mine so it should be faster. My CPU isn't even getting to 5GHz. There's a lot of score variance between runs so I ran it like 20 times. In the Radeon driver be sure to check the box for surface format optimization and texture filtering to performance.

What are you using for clocks and voltage? My score is just using regular Afterburner but I'm going to try the extreme version today or tomorrow. It's on an accelero but the office temps are almost 30C. I'll turn on the auxiliary window AC unit for my next run. Also there's an LOD mod that I haven't tried yet. Also I'm going to try a running it from a RAM disk.

I have a Sabertooth AM3+ board coming with free FX-9590 from ebay and a kit of highly binned 4x4GB DDR3. I'm not sure I'll be buying more than that for this endeavor but we'll see. I should be able to run several categories with things I have on hand. If I can quickly bench and resell the AM3+ stuff I'll get an FM2+ board and APU for the iGPU category. I have a feeling that this won't resell and I'll end up making it a wall display
