  1. It took me forever to figure out how to edit the location. Now that map is within a mile, but I didn't put my exact address on there Yes I figure someone will want it to learn overclocking or perhaps to try some dry ice runs. I have no complaints at all about the motherboard once I figured out how to truly unlock CPU voltage (by setting sensor to ignore). I have to inventory a few stacks of graphics cards and put them here as well. I really need to get rid a lot of things soon because we're remodeling the office/lab next. Now that Rachel moved out we ripped the carpet out, painted, etching the floor, then it's going to be the workout room. All my workout stuff is crammed into my office lab as well as all my guitar stuff so it's very crowded when I'm lifting weights. Ethan's the next child out the door soon and then we're reclaiming that room. But honestly after how hot it has been this summer I'm ready to sell and * of here all together.
  2. Lol I didn't specify city so I am not sure where it's showing the map but I'm in Mobile. You're in driving distance but I'd probably still ship to you
  3. THIS ADVERT HAS EXPIRED!

    • FREEBIE
    • USED

I'm completed with these. If you want to give the HWBOT Team Comp a try, hurry up and message me since it ends next month. You got to pay for shipping and please take ALL of it. I need the room in my office lab. I don't think there will be enough time for international shipping so probably only US48 should inquire. ASUS Crosshair V Formula: good board, but no I/O plate. Originally bought from neurotix for $100 FX-8350: came with neurotix board. I benched it over 5.2GHz on water at 1.5v Phenom II 1045T: Locked multiplier but I still benched it at 4.2GHz on the CHV HD 6870: reference XFX card, has software voltage control up to 1.3v HD 6850: reference AMD card, has software voltage control up to 1.3v Arctic Accelero Cooler that fits over the stock VRM/VRAM base plate on either Barts card. I will also throw in one Samsung 128GB SATA SSD so you have something descent to boot from.

  4. I have my main rig up and crunching, but with some limits set to keep the heat in check. Ryzen 5950X folding on 24 of 32 logical cores and in ECO mode. RX 6900XT at about 100-120w. Would be better if I just used all the watts for the GPU but I want to give some of those CPU-only work units some love.
  5. That board sounds awesome. I hope that clock gen let's you push it. I have been browsing AM5 boards. The good ones are so freaking expensive!
  6. I really don't remember but I think it was actually some nvidia branded utility you could download from the official nvidia site.
  7. I remember something like that for an nforce laptop I had a very long time ago. I was able to overclock an old athlon like that and the ram too. I wonder if it's actually the same software. Must have been more than 15 years ago.
  8. Try using just your single strongest GPU at a low power tuning like 125W. You should be able to get a respectable about of points and not heat up the house or run up the power.
  9. That's awesome! I hope you can get these benched in time.
  10. erythritol and sorbitol cause problems for me but sucralose doesn't give me issues
  11. Yeah been a long time but we used to do that when I was in the navy. We could buy loose oolong tea in Singapore or wherever and brew it in jugs tied somewhere on the deck.
  12. I do brew a fair amount of tea, but not typical tea and I always cold brew it anyway, usually right in my 64 oz stein. Lately I prefer Bengal Spice, but sometimes I do peppermint. No sweeteners or anything added. No caffeine in those, more like nice flavored water.
  13. Not much of a coffee guy but I do drink 1 monster zero every morning. Michele, on the other hand, is a coffee nut. She has the expensive bean grinder, ninja brewer, and is very particular about what beans she gets.
  14. Updated original post with prizes that were donated. If anyone else has anything else cool to give away, shoot me a p.m.
  15. Like HU let the Dogs Out!
  16. Welcome to the ExtremeHW 48-hour Folding Competition, August 19-20th 00:00 *UTC* Countdown to Event Start Countdown to Event Stop ^^CLICK THOSE IF YOU LIVE SOMEWHERE NOT UTC TIME ZONE^^ How to participate: During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902 You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username (if different than forum name) for prize eligibility. Stats: You can view the stats for the foldathon here: https://ehwfoldingstats.lazypenguin.com Prizes: p.m. @damric if you have something suitable to give away* @neurotix is offering two paypal grift cards of $50 and an EXTREMEHW Mug from the official store. He said each of these are random draw with 5 WUs completed to qualify. Folding Time Prizes: tbd Excluded from Prizes: damric, firedfly. iamjanco, Cerberus Mind the EVENT START TIMER as it is UTC time zone. Note: Stats are updated as soon as possible, but less frequent than desired. Just keep folding! Note: Extreme Team Members remember to use a different pass key than your ETF key (If you don't know what that is then it probably does not apply to you). Folding is stressful on hardware, and will often break an overclock unless it's been tested with folding. I do not recommend overclocking high end GPUs as the power draw can be extreme while folding. If anything, try tuning for energy efficiency. Casualties happen and EXTREMEHW can not be held accountable if you destroy your hardware while folding. Thank you for your participation! *must be approved so please send message in private before posting.
  17. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=u8aXJPGsno8&feature=share Was pumping iron to Sepultura this afternoon.
  18. Play around with lowering the memory clocks if you can. Folding isn't very bandwidth intensive compared to gaming or mining, so finding the spot where you can drop the RAM clock and keep the same performance will also save some watts.
  19. Bump for @mx500torid This is very relevant with people's power bills exploding during this heat wave. This helps especially if you have a high tier, high TDP graphics card, and even more so if you have multiple. For the last several folding contests I was running my RX 6900XT at less than half power but getting about 80% of the ppd. Not heating up the office during the summer!
  20. Who's bringing the bag of prizes next month?
  21. Avacado makes the video. I post the video. You watch the video Next is probably the weekend of August 19th, but that date isn't firm yet. I will make an official announcement at the beginning of the month.
