  1. I used the latest version, but from what I remember it can be hit or miss with various versions against various cards. Someone also gave me this extreme version of Afterburner which I will try next week. Supposedly it can possibly exceed 1.3v. We'll see. AB-extreme.zip
  2. That's the asus directcu model? It should have voltage control. Might need to use asus smart doctor but good luck finding a file for that. An older version of afterburner might work though.
  3. Were you able to unlock voltage and extended clocks with MSI Afterburner?
  4. We welcome @firedfly to the EXTREMEHW Folding@Home staff
  5. Go with something lightweight, comfortable, and efficient for the laptop. Render the games and heavy stuff on the desktop and stream it to the laptop. Michele does it all through Steam, even stuff on other platforms like epic or Ubisoft launchers. It works very well with very low latency. She even does it from her home computer to her laptop at work.
  6. I might have to rerun these. i saw in the screenshots that the guy in first place is using a sort of LOD utility mod. I think it's allowed, too.
  7. Try testing it now. I added the image a different way and it's working on my android phone now through chrome
  8. Weird. It looks good on my computer but it's not showing on my phone.
  9. Updated prizes. Some nice tubing was donated!!! Thanks @Hequaqua !!!
  10. I know people willing to help you. Just say the word.
  11. @leeghoofd well he's on our forum, our discord, HWBOT forum, and HWBOT discord and usually communicates very quickly. I would explain that it's just a typo mistake by the manufacturer.
  12. @kaliz look at the GPU-z in this review VTX3D Radeon HD 6850 X-Edition Graphics Card Review | Page 3 of 16 | eTeknix WWW.ETEKNIX.COM Unless you really do have your ear to the ground, you may be unaware as… It shows as 6850 x2. It's just factory programmed to be misnomer. I would just bench it as is.
  13. That's weird. Are there physically two GPUs present on the card?
  14. lol me too and I've been doing hwbot for over a decade. It really helps to have a couple more sets of eyes look at your subs for these comps. Today I had to redo a few of them because something small was missing.
  15. Alright I'm done what I can do other than trying a RAM disk. Unigine: I eeked out just a couple more points by disabling SMT and just running the bench over and over. It's very single threaded but it still mostly maxes out the card. Lots of variation between runs so I suggest to run it at least 10x or more. I think a RAM disk might help with the small hiccup it has when it starts. Firestrike: This wasn't hard. The main thing is be sure to carefully read the HWBOT rules for this benchmark and use them to your advantage. If you are still at a loss, PM me and I will show you what to do. Vantage: Same as Firestrike but even less stuff to tweak. Pretty redundant but it is freeware so I see why they included this one. I would let @Avacado and/or @Bastiaan_NL double check your subs and screenshots. These contests always come down to litigation!!!
  16. O.P. Updated with prizes from @iamjanco Note: We're having some technical difficulties with the score card since the server migration. Hopefully this will be solved before this even starts, but if it is not, then prizes will either be given at random or withdrawn and awarded for next month's comp. I know @axipher is doing his best to get it straightened out
  17. Well I'm in 2nd place with just software voltage tweaking. /public/images/shield-competitions.png OC eSports ESPORTS.HWBOT.ORG Check out the content at esports.hwbot.org The guy in 1st, I think I saw his hard volt mod in a youtube video. I no longer have the patience of steady hands for that but I'll bet that some of you will and I hope you all blow me out of the water before this is over. While HWBOT forbids sharing hardware, it is possible to sell or give someone something, so this reference card with accellero is up for grabs when I am done with it.
  18. Not that very much of the wallpaper will be showing with all the telemetry screenshots required and these cards seem to max out at 1080p on hdmi so it's very crowded
  19. I don't know if I can wring any more performance out of the Heaven Basic DX9 benchmark: /img/logo.png Luke`s Unigine Heaven - Basic score: 2424.73 DX9 Marks with a Radeon HD 6850 HWBOT.ORG The Radeon HD 6850 @ 1050/1250MHzscores getScoreFormatted in the Unigine Heaven - Basic benchmark. Lukeranks #null worldwide and #12 in the hardware class. Find out more at HWBOT. Even 2MHz more on GPU core or VRAM crashes it. There isn't much 3D settings to tweak in the driver from what I saw. I just set texture filtering to performance and surface optimization ON. I used the latest compatible legacy driver and the version of afterburner I already had installed. Voltage was pushed to 1.3v and extended unofficial clocks. I ran the bench about 5 times and saw a lot of score fluctuation as much as like 20 points so I don't know maybe I'll run a few more times. One thing I may try is running from a RAM disk.
  20. Competition started June 1st and goes until July 15th. /img/logo.png Cheapaz Chips Round 1 Radeon HD 6850 @ HWBOT HWBOT.ORG Level 1 OC-ESPORTS competition running from 6/1/23, 12:00 PM till 7/15/23, 12:00 PM. I will edit this soon and make pretty but right now I'm benching this card Post your questions, advice, pictures, and results here so that the team captains can inspect and make sure we haven't accidentally broke any rules. 21. Hopefully things are working in two weeks for the June foldathon. If not, then I'm all ears for a backup plan.
  22. Last month I donated one of them official EXTREMEHW white ball caps as the top prize. Would someone be generous enough to donate something for this month's prize, preferably from the EHW Store? A sticker set would be nice, or perhaps a matching mug and coaster, or do the hat again those are great! 23. Welcome to the ExtremeHW 48-hour Folding Competition, June 17th-18th 00:00 UTC* Countdown to Event Start Countdown to Event Stop ^^CLICK THOSE IF YOU LIVE SOMEWHERE NOT UTC TIME ZONE^^ How to participate: During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902 You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username. Stats: We will be using a different stats tracking site for this foldathon. You can view the stats for the foldathon here: https://ehwfoldingstats.lazypenguin.com Prizes: p.m. @damric if you have something suitable to give away* @iamjanco is donating one matching EHW Mug and Coaster, and a hat for top score (see below he said no cloud GPUs). @Hequaqua is donating one box of Masterkleer PVC Tubing 10' 3/8" ID 1/2" ID new in box from FrozenCPU. This will be a random prize to anyone who completed 5 WUs and he is happy to ship it wherever you are, as long as it is in the USA. Folding Time Prizes: tbd Excluded from Prizes: @Alex Mind the EVENT START TIMER as it is UTC time zone. Note: Stats are updated as soon as possible, but less frequent than desired. Just keep folding! Note: Extreme Team Members remember to use a different pass key than your ETF key (If you don't know what that is then it probably does not apply to you). Folding is stressful on hardware, and will often break an overclock unless it's been tested with folding. I do not recommend overclocking high end GPUs as the power draw can be extreme while folding. If anything, try tuning for energy efficiency. Casualties happen and EXTREMEHW can not be held accountable if you destroy your hardware while folding. Thank you for your participation! *must be participating in foldathon.
