  1. Agreed. It looks amazing. We have a lot of hardware cups and medals. I should figure out how to change my hwbot name back to my forum handle.
  2. Probably confused the UTC Saturday midnight time. For Americans that means we have to start on Friday. But don't worry. This is a 3-day challenge so plenty of time for you to catch up. If this works out for everyone, I don't see why we shouldn't run 72 hour challenges through March.

  4. Hey Neuro, I forgot to ask you, what did you do with the other 5900x?
  5. That sounds awesome. How hot does it get in that basement with all of them running? Or does it stay cool?
  6. Yeah it's a shame because I loved everything else about that board. The tuning features worked great. But that weird dual BIOS was just such a burden that it ruined it for me. I'm glad you figured out that trick to do the forced switch.

  8. Is that one of the Gigabyte boards with TWO BIOS chips, but there isn't a toggle switch for them? If so, I'm sorry, that "feature" is annoying as hell. There is a weird trick to force the chips to switch. I mostly forgot it but it was something to do with holding the reset button in and and power button for like 5-10 seconds. I was so fed up that I rid myself of the board (an X370 Aorus K5).
  9. There's a guy in Poland that creates some very good case badges. I bought from him before. Might want to see what he can create. https://www.etsy.com/shop/lukparts?ref=simple-shop-header-name&listing_id=1002383862
  10. You will have to jump through a couple hoops with the guys that run the whitelist on the official folding forum. It will sometimes take about a day for them to message you back, but they will, and they are helpful. If it is indeed possible, they will allow that card. New GPUs (whitelist) - Folding Forum FOLDINGFORUM.ORG It's possible that Intel has not added double precision calculations to the drivers yet.
  11. @Bastiaan_NL I would contact the manufacturer. They can probably fix it for cheap, or maybe for free if they want to be nice since it's a very high end board.
  12. Our first 3-day challenge. If success, we will continue this for the winter months. As always, the start time is UTC, so next Friday for us in western hemisphere. Check the start time calculator to be sure.
  13. Welcome to the ExtremeHW Folding Competition, December 17th-19th Countdown to Event Start Countdown to Event Stop ATTENTION Extreme Team Folding Participants: Please make sure you do not fold anything under your ETF GPU Passkey except for the GPU you are participating in the event with. You need to use a 2nd passkey to fold anything else in this event. In the spirit of folding for the cause and good old friendly competition between members, we are hosting another folding competition. For more details please see below. How to participate: During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902 You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username. Prizes: tbd Folding Time Prizes: tbd Excluded from Prizes: n/a All "Folding Time" prizes will require your username/passkey to be given to the donator, this will not give them any of your personal information, it just let's them be able to contribute full points to your username. Passkeys need at least 10 full Work Units to start getting the full Quick Return Bonus. Alternatively, you could setup another passkey for your Folding@Home username with a different email address and fold your first 10 units on that. This would still put the points towards your username, but they would also be tracked by a different passkey. Please note all winners must claim within 30 days from announcement of the winners. Current Event Stats: Note: Stats are updated every hour at XX:25 for previous hour of submitted Work Units. The first update at 00:25 AM UTC will set the "zero" for your points based on all the WU's submitted up to 12 AM UTC. Good luck to all!
  14. Watched it a few more times and I have come to this conclusion: You need these cameras on all sides and the rear and maybe one pointed up towards the sky just in case.
  15. Wow. Sorry man. I would have been infuriated by such stupidity.
  16. It could be just a bad work unit. I would uninstall F@H including the data files, then re-install. I've had this problem before where it kept failing and re-attempting the same unit.
  17. Funny you might ask this. Yeah sometimes I just can't work on rigs. I've got work benches of various heights to use depending on how my back feels. Lately with my left knee injury my back is pretty sore from overcompensating. I have been putting off a teardown of my main build but I plan on starting that Monday. I had ordered a full cover water block for my 6900xt like 2 days before I had that bad accident where I blew my knee out and it's been just waiting for me to feel better. Things are going much better this past week. Much of the swelling around the knee is gone and I can bear some weight. I moved from crutches to just a cane. I am hoping that once my left knee gets repaired in 2023, that I'll be able to get my right knee repaired in 2024 (it's not quite blown out but can't run on it), that I might be able to run again. The VA used to give me narcotics to knock the pain down. They don't anymore, but I don't care. I only used them when I was REALLY uncomfortable. Been on Celebrex for years since my guts tend to bleed on motrin or aleve. Occasionally I take tylenol. What really helps is working out all the time. I feel like it increases my natural pain threshold so that I can just deal with life.
  18. If possible this would be amazing!
  19. I remember having terrible luck with AM2 and AM3 processors. I think the only descent one I had was that Phenom II 1090T I sold you.
  20. Hmmn how much did you pay for that 5900X? I'm tempted to buy it off of you, bum silicon and all
  21. Yeah I saw your recent scores on HWBOT when I checked it this morning. Nice work. Really the undervolting/overvolting depends on the leakage of the chip. It's going to run cooler and boost more often if you undervolt. But it might not be stable with undervolt. It might take adding voltage to stabilize adding more MHz. In a best case scenario, it's such a golden chip that you can run +200 with 104 base clock, AND a negative offset. Highly unlikely, and I've never seen a high tier Ryzen that could do that, though it is theoretically possible. I can do it on a 5500 but it's got low stock clocks.
  22. I've actually found that NVMe drives are more tolerant to a small bus clock than SATA drives. A lot of these boards will drop down to half PCIe speed if you exceed roughly 104 base clock so you only have a little bit to play with. It's nice if you are just trying to get like 5GHz but topping out at like 4950, just 101 will put you over. Yeah I'm the one running the monthly folding contests and the extreme team here now. I'll pm you some info later. My back, yeah it still gives me problems and more recently my right knee that I've had repaired a few times is acting up. But most recently I blew out my left knee so I'm dealing with that right now and surgery imminent to repair the ligaments that tore. It's like a constant struggle to maintain this body.
