@mx500torid don't feel bad. I have been fighting with that submission system for more than a decade. You just got to accept that the HWBOT site setup is pretty trash, and it seems like there's hardly anyone that actually works on it.
When they changed the rules to full-screen and no cropped images I could never for the life of me figure out why my screenshots threw errors. Well go figure they are still in 1990 and expect a 648x480 image and definitely not my 4K PNG images.
So what I do is Ctrl+PrtSc, paste into new bitmap image, then resize that * to 25% and save as a JPG. I keep all of my results images in folders organized by whatever the hell it is I'm benching. So let's say today I'm benching Vega 64, my folder is named Vega64. My screenshots in that folder are going to be named FS-1 (fire strike 1st attempt), or FSU-1 (Ultra settings), SD-1 (Sky Diver), or whatever to keep me from losing my mind.
Ok here's a screwed up thing when running some of the 3DMarks. Sometimes when you view result online, it takes you to the result, but the link has a ? at the end of it. If you copy/paste that link with the question mark into HWBOT it's going to throw an error. You'll quit HWBOT for months or bang your head into the wall trying to figure out *. So what I do is after it redirects me to my result, I then click on My Results, and open the link to the result I just ran. This one won't have the question mark and won't throw an error. I don't think anyone at HWBOT tested or explained these kinds of hoops you need to jump through just to submit your damn score.
@Avacadoyes that's a great idea to show some how-to screenshots. I'll probably still screw it up but now at least I'll be able to blame someone
