  1. Pretty much just download the client, get a pass key from F@H, start the client, enter your identity, pass key, and our team number. Be sure to tell us what your folding name is just in case it's different than what your username is here. Keep in mind that the time zone for the event is in UTC time zone, so for us it starts Friday. See the countdown timer if it is confusing.
  2. Welcome to the ExtremeHW Folding Competition, Saturday, May 28th Countdown to Event Start Countdown to Event Stop ATTENTION Extreme Team Folding Participants: Please make sure you do not fold anything under your ETF GPU Passkey except for the GPU you are participating in the event with. You need to use a 2nd passkey to fold anything else in this event. In the spirit of folding for the cause and good old friendly competition between members, we are hosting another folding competition. For more details please see below. How to participate: During the competition you must be folding for Team 239902 You must post in this thread with "IN" followed by your folding username. Prizes: tbd Folding Time Prizes: tbd Excluded from Prizes: No! All "Folding Time" prizes will require your username/passkey to be given to the donator, this will not give them any of your personal information, it just let's them be able to contribute full points to your username. Passkeys need at least 10 full Work Units to start getting the full Quick Return Bonus. Alternatively, you could setup another passkey for your Folding@Home username with a different email address and fold your first 10 units on that. This would still put the points towards your username, but they would also be tracked by a different passkey. Please note all winners must claim within 30 days from announcement of the winners. Current Event Stats: Note: Stats are updated every hour at XX:25 for previous hour of submitted Work Units. The first update at 00:25 AM UTC will set the "zero" for your points based on all the WU's submitted up to 12 AM UTC. Good luck to all!
  3. Oh hell yes. I'll get with @bwalker36and make this happen. I'm thinking for next month's foldathon, and maybe we can scrape up even more for that. Speaking of which, I conformed with @axipher that this month's foldathon, which I will announce soon. Tt's going to be June 25th at 0000.
  4. Enterprise: "I'm shutting the door" Community: "No you're not!!!"
  5. I can do $50 per month recurring until ads and proper sponsors are caught up.
  6. Well I just sent an inquiry to my (second) cousin Pat to see if Intel could possibly spare a few bucks. I wonder if I will get a reply. He never replies.
  7. I don't know what's going on with points but they seem very erratic. Those little Pascals are dangerous. Are they overclocked? I'm eyeballing a better ETF card for Michele than her GTX 750.
  8. Ok a lot to digest here. How will this affect our folding and HWBOT teams, ect? I think we can keep them alive if we can keep the discord open. Discord is free right? How much does it cost to keep the site alive as it is? If you don't want to disclose that, I understand, but that information may be helpful to those that may wish to help out.
  9. Is there a limit of how many 4-pin PWM fan extender cables I can use? I need about a 4 foot run to get to the window. I have been wanting to mount a big ass radiator in the window for some time. In January and February it can intake cool air from outside. For the rest of the year it's like summer year so it will be exhausting.
  10. I saw Luumi in my youtube feed recently, but I recognized the name from hwbot. I watched a couple minutes but I'm always kind of bored by halo products. Give me that low bin stuff and leave me lots of OC headroom and I'm happy. Speaking of HWBOT, I earned a few points today for the team. Our team is small but we have consistent members benching what they have. We're growing too. It seemed like just last year there were only like 2 of us active.
  11. Ok it survived the foldathon. Gonna power it down before my office looks like the one in above picture
  12. You might be hitting power limits because of the faster VRAM. You could try downclocking that a bit and see if it helps, or just raise the power limit.
  13. Challenge accepted. Actually I used this power man for ETF for almost a year folding 24/7 for PCIE powered cards. I was curious if it could run the Ryzen 2700x folding during this month's foldathon. Mosfets are cool on the board, but it is open air.
  14. I see. Well I can't say I'm too particularly fold of too many brands, but I generally do choose SuperFlower PSUs ever since my first Rosewill Capstone because they generally have good performance per price value and solid ripple suppression for overclocking. I generally hate Corsair anything, but especially their RAM lol.
  15. I just got home from my sister's cookout and omg one of the folding rigs was making a horrible noise ratting. I pressed on all of the fans and it didn't matter. I'm like omg something's going to die. For some reason I decided to pinch one of the water hoses such that I stopped flow. As soon as I released, a big air bubble came up from the pump into the reservoir. It just had to burp. Carry on.
  16. Pretty sure it's a rebranded FSP. It survived all of the benchmarks and wasn't even warm. Nothing crashed despite huge overclock so ripple couldn't have been too bad...
  17. Fear the Power Man and his golden cups earned today.
  18. Since you guys liked the M2000, you can get similar huge overclocks with the W2100 and W4100 GCN based Firepro and they are cheap asf on ebay.
  19. I threw this together with spare parts. This PSU came out of a sff uATX. Ryzen 2700x PBO and WX2100 (Polaris-Lexa) OC'd +425MHz Running 3Dmarks now
  20. I ordered some vinyl that size from Amazon but I have not used it yet. I also looked at US plastics but they ask a lot for shipping.
  21. Just curious, how much did you guys pay for your M2000s? I paid about $150 on ebay but it was before the price collapse. I'm very curious about M4000 and M5000 now.
