  1. Team captains, there's several team members with zero points this month. Hardware troubles or what?
  2. That looks really good. Would you say it's pretty sturdy? Well I am due for yet another atx bench. I may have to check out @Spotswood this time instead of the hassle of building my own like I normally do.
  3. One of the forced Windows Updates?
  4. This is cool. For me I'd like to shout out to @BWG for keeping the folding going for years, @axipher for his work in hosting our folding database, and @zodac for behind the scenes keeping the extreme team database in running order. Also thanks @mmcdonald12 for acquiring some nifty prizes for the last foldathon.
  5. Playing around with this Ryzen 5 5500, which is basically a lower bin 5600G with disabled iGPU. So far it clocks pretty well and I was able to validate a near 5GHz OC for HWBOT. AMD Ryzen 5 @ 4991.32 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR VALID.X86.FR [iswww6] Validated Dump by damric (2022-05-07 00:56:40) - MB: ASRock X470 Taichi - RAM: 32768 MB For bench-stable it does over 4850MHz all-core, with impressive single thread 668 and good multi-thread 5299, again beating the i5-12600 though not as close to the 12600K as the 5600G was on multicore. AMD Ryzen 5 @ 4861.33 MHz - CPU-Z VALIDATOR VALID.X86.FR [05xfkw] Validated Dump by Luke (damric) (2022-05-07 16:38:41) - MB: ASRock X470 Taichi - RAM: 32768 MB For 24/7-stable I have it dialed in at 104MHz base clock with +200 PBO which gives more than 4650MHz, a +400MHz improvement over stock turbo.
  6. In theory, everyone that wanted one should have had it delivered by now.
  7. I mean I watched like every episode and movie, but it was like 35 or so years ago
  8. Picard is too old to remember that information about his mother.
  9. Love it, but I'm a huge next generation fan. Michele says she didn't like 1st season but I liked that one too.
  10. That's a very interesting build and you'll have to tell the story of how that one came about because I know those and those boards were expensive as hell back when they were new. Is that also overclocked somehow?
  11. Ok check it out. I'm packaging these Toshiba SSDs rather cheaply in taped cardboard shell and padded envelopes. I only tested them by booting up to the BIOS then doing the sanitation command. I have a few extras, so just in case a couple don't survive shipping or decide to crap out like within a few weeks, hit me up and I'll send you a replacement (with better protected shipping). These are, in theory, brand new drives that went to the spare parts bin when they decided to issue laptops/tablets with bigger drives. One man's trash is another's treasure Should be mailing these out this afternoon, or at latest in the morning. I finished testing/sanitizing yesterday. Tracking numbers sent!
  12. Old PSU maybe? Or maybe something unstable on the CPU or RAM?
  13. 1st place: firedfly 2nd place: Bastiaan_NL 3rd Place: PaperClip Prize Winners Please message @damric very soon to claim your prize. There are four $25 cash prizes, 256GB NVMe PCIE 3.0 drives, Samsung Ear buds, and even a stick of DDR4 SODIMM. It's easier to send the cash prizes to those overseas, so if you are in the USA, please pick a non-cash prize, send me your address, and I'll get it to you soon. @firedfly @Cerberus @tictoc @tenchimuyo93 @Supercrumpet @Storm-Chaser @thermotto @Fluxmaven @BWG @Patsy @mx500torid @Minotaurtoo Who folded as paperclip? I didn't see an "IN" for that one, and a few more on the score card. If I missed anyone, let me know. If you excluded yourself and change your mind and want a prize, also let me know ASAP. I'd like to have everyone's prize info by Friday so I can pack some padded envelopes and get things shipped Saturday.
  14. Well she certainly won something. I'll put out the list of eligible prize winners tomorrow. We have enough prizes for everyone that typed IN, and didn't exclude themselves from prizing. Then we'll figure out who gets what and where it's going. Congratulations everyone.
  15. BWG's wife. I think she has taken over all of the garage GPUs. Your points are looking pretty good yourself
  16. Having a little hiccup with the stats system so I notified zodac. So the card isn't officially changed yet since it keeps timing out when I try and access Hacksword, but it's fine, just keep folding.
  17. You're a wildcard on the team so you could switch to something else if you have it available. Let me know and I'll key it into the database.
  18. I know he's super busy but I hope he can pop in for a few minutes and do a clean-up. At first I was like, wow our forum sure are folding our asses off!!! Then when I saw my own inflated score I knew something was not right.
  19. I was just typing in discord about that. What the heck is going on with the score card?
  20. Too late now you're stuck, so fold away good sir! I'm sure that 5950 will pop out a few units before the end.
  21. I don't remember quite how I ended up with that. Birthday present maybe. I feel bad I've burned holes in it soldering lol.
  22. Ok so Michele brought home a couple more goodies for giveaway prizes including these brand new Samsung ear buds. Apparently they are some OEM that originally came with a work tablet or something that did not get used. Anyways they look nice and are new, tamper-sealed, but no warranty and I'm not testing them before I ship them. Also that random stick of DDR4 SoDIMM. I have no way to test this, but supposedly one of the other techs did. Funny it was her last day at her contract IT job, and they were trying to bribe her to stay but she starts a much more lucrative Salary position with the city of Mobile, and it's like 5 minutes from our house so there's no way they could top that. We have an awesome turnout. Problem is I don't have quite enough prizes for everyone this month, but I'm trying to make that happen. As of right now we have FOUR $25 prizes coming from @ENTERPRISE, I got FIFTEEN 256GB PCIE 3.0 NVMe Drives, TWO pairs of Samsung earbuds, and a stick of DDR4. Hopefully it won't be an arm and a leg if something needs international shipping, but these will all be small padded envelopes so maybe it won't be that much We had a small hiccup with the folding stats for the first day, but it looks like it's fixed now, thank you @axipher
