  1. So much great info here and thanks so much for including ZenTimings in your screenshots.

I have G.skill Flare X B-Die DDR5 and run it super stable at 6200MHz cas 30 1.435v, with the IFclk at 2100MHz. VDD_SOC is 1.25v and VDD_MISC is 1.35v. Mem controller voltage is on Auto but giving it 1.465v or something like that.

It's passed 2 hours of Memtest86 and 4 hours of GSAT in a terminal in Linux Mint.

You guys have given me a LOT to catch up on and attempt. I will probably start with Orion's timings posted a ways back for 7600MHz and see how it goes or if my machine will even post. DDR4 B-Die loved and scaled well with voltage, so I may need to go over the 1.435v limit.

Also the system needs to be 120% stable as I run Linux for days on end, as a home server and as a folding box.

I probably can't get an identical M-Die  kit as my wife just bought me the new EK Nucleus Dark AIO as well as a Crucial T700 1TB gen 5 m.2 drive. She was not thrilled with either purchase. Can't put them in yet as I just had a serious hip surgery and am only 3 days post op.

Please keep up what you're doing though guys, rep all around as you are really pushing the limits of what's possible.

  2. Ai Crystal is getting some upgrades soon. Will probably be installed next weekend. I'm so excited. Thank you honey! 💕

EK Nucleus dark 360mm radiator that doesn't have a snakes nest of wires running off it like my H150i. Was recently reviewed here by Mr. Fox:

    REVIEWS.EXTREMEHW.NET

EK have bought to market another AIO to add to their portfolio, the EK Nucleus AIO CR360 Dark. How does it fair...

Also since installing this will require taking my GPU out and board out to mount a backplate from EK on it, I figured it'd be a good time to get:

Crucial T700 1TB gen 5 nvme m.2 drive to replace my old Samsung 970 Evo 512GB gen 3 drive. The larger Crucial drive should allow me to have both FH5 and FH4 installed at the same time as well as every 3dmark benchmark ever and Superposition. With room to spare.

I will have to do a lot of work installing Win10 and Linux and reconfiguring both, it will take a lot of work but both Windows and Mint will have way more space. I know the drive won't actually be 1tb, but the overall plan is to give Linux 200GB which will allow for more Timeshift backups, and the rest to Windows.

I had the same from them, mine was stable at 5.1 however, it was a super bin and a fun CPU to have at the time.

Nice! Yeah I think my bin was $400 or something, to get a Haswell bin at 5.1GHz is like unobtainium. You must have paid around $6-700 for that. I'm sure it lasted years.

  4. Sorry to hear about the failures guys. Something I'd never really attempt on my own for those reasons, even if I did custom loops.

I got a 4790k binned to 4.8GHz back when from SiliconLottery.com and had them delid+liquid metal on it for $50 extra 😂 such a n00b here lol.

I did not design the mouse pad logo. I didn't really design any of the final products, I just made edits to existing designs to make them work for the merch.

There is no mousepad, I was talking about making one as damric suggested we should have one (we currently don't).

Give yourself more credit. You took the graphics I sent you and worked hard to put them on the actual merchandise we currently have, in a way that would work. You did a great job doing it too, especially the mugs.

  6. @UltraMega

I can help out and do designs for a mousepad if needed, as well as do any designs for anything else.

UltraMega is the one who designed all of the current merchandise, using logos and assets like circuit traces with a gradient I sent to him.

If any of this happens, let me know the dimensions/resolution of say, a mousepad because I already have some ideas in mind.

  7. A little off topic but the GTX 285 was what was available when I first built my own custom computer in 2009. Prior to that did not have any money to build a rig. I had a Phenom II 550BE unlocked to quad core and a HD 4670. I really wanted a GTX 285 back then or even a GTX 260.

  8. Tried to contact Bastiaan about this on Discord, but got no response. I did a AMD stage 5 y-cruncher sub a while ago and it needs to be added to the spreadsheet. I have no idea how to.

Currently, it says 2/4 subs and that's with Flux and Bastiaans submissions, so it needs to be changed to 3/4 because of mine.

    Thanks.

I will openly admit, my comment about gang bangers originally was a smart aleck response.  That's just how I am, I joke around a lot.  🤣

The rest though, like I said, was just trying to help.  :eat_cheers:
If my comments are a little to brazen, as I said too, I'll happily back off and not comment again.  You seemed like you were curious why nobody was commenting about it, so I was trying to help, while still being me.

It's cool, sorry if I reacted with hostility or negativity. I was only trying to explain that I did this for fun and hopefully to make other people feel the pride that I do as a member of this site and folding team. It was never meant to represent the site, though when I was graphics designer I got similar complaints about misrepresenting the brand. That was not my intention and honestly not even something I was thinking about when I drew this stuff up.

I appreciate and understand that from a business point of view, you are 100% correct that this could be taken to misrepresent the brand, possibly because the logo is not the official logo. But as I said, if I paired that with bubble art "folding@home" it would look weird. Representing the site as a brand was not even something I was considering, I just wanted to do some psuedo graffiti art and scan it in and color it. Because it's been on the back burner as an idea in my head for months.

I do appreciate the feedback and will try to keep it in mind in the future. And yes I was curious why it was getting no comments on here or Discord for a day or two so I appreciate you commenting and apologize if I seemed hostile. I appreciate you trying to help. Thank you.

We should chat on Discord again sometime.

It was just some constructive criticism.  It's not an adult toy, you don't have to take it so hard.  I was only trying to help you progress.  "You don't post it on social media".....ummmm, what is a forum?  Again, I was only trying to help you get even better.  I wasn't being mean or anything.  There's some things to take creative liberties with, and some things that really shouldn't be.  Company logos and fonts are one of those that really "shouldn't be" in most situations.

You also completely skipped my opinion about the graffiti idea.  Have you ever thought about painting any of your equipment?  Modding it?  I think that'd be a great use of your graffiti skills!  Modding of PC parts with artwork would absolutely get more attention than photoshop work, and graffiti, as I mentioned can be VERY expressive and beautiful.

I appreciate this and sorry I didn't respond to the second idea.

Yes, the forum is social media but it's not on the front page of the site nor is it officially sanctioned by Enterprise to represent anything. When we talk about social media I'm thinking Twitter or Facebook. I would of course love to see this art posted there but that's probably not happening. I appreciate that you are trying to help me get better, but if I just copied and pasted the site logo (like I've done a million times) and did bubble art saying "folding@home" it wouldn't look very good or match at all.

Also, this is a 29 page forum thread that will have many more posts and pages in the future, eventually the art will be buried and forgotten.

Regarding the graffiti on the rig or graphics card: cool idea. Flux already does this (not graffiti though) and said he uses vinyl sheets you can print on (I think) but our printer may not be usable for it as it only accepts thin sheets of paper, we tried using mixed media paper one time and it wouldn't go through...

I generally eventually sell all my components when I upgrade, so I prefer to keep them stock. I also don't want anything on my glass side panels as it would detract from the clean look of my rig imo.

Thank you for your opinion and input man.
